Summary: "I'm sorry I need to leave, but I think that we both need time, so I'm leaving for the city where I can forget it all." Only one problem, what city is that? And Phineas has to find her, or lose her forever.

Chapter 15: Scientific Calculations and Emotions

Figuring there was no way that he could get close to Isabella alone so late in the day, Phineas decided to check into a hotel and figure out how he wanted to go through with convincing her to trust a..technically... complete stranger.

After checking in and heading up to his room, Phineas replayed the scene in his head of Isabella as she was smiling and playing with some other children. Phineas played over different scenarios in his head, but none of them seemed like it would do anything, but get him a blank stare or maybe getting laughed at to his face. While he did deserve that, Phineas also wanted an outcome that would involve Isabella getting on a plane with him back to Danville.

After a while, Phineas went to his backpack and grabbed the small canister out of the envelope he kept it in and looked more closely at it. A clear container, probably plastic of some sort as glass could easily shatter. Inside of it was a light blue-ish liquid. Setting up a laptop that he didn't know was in his backpack either, Phineas began analyzing the contents of the liquid, wondering just how Isabella managed to concentrate her memories into a liquid form.

Hooking up some wires to the small capsule of memories and began translating the electrical brain signals that were stored in the capsule into readable content and looked for the memories of why she left.

"You know, somehow this feels wrong," Phineas muttered to himself. "But then again, I need to figure out how she actually extracted her memories and then how to give them back to her... I mean... swallowing would be the simplest solution, but I have absolutely no idea what would happen if she takes it wrong... Who knows, she might just end up digesting her memories for all I know."

That's when Phineas saw it. It was like reading a book. All her feelings for him on display like a great fantasy story. Her love life lived...right across the street from her. Really? Phineas picked up his phone and dialed Ferb.

"Ferb... Does Isabella have a crush on me?" Phineas asked without waiting for Ferb to even greet him.

"Yeah, pretty much since she met you," Ferb replied.

"Huh, didn't know," Phineas commented before turning back to the machine. "Okay, so I've found Isabella, but I didn't go up to her yet because I've decided I needed to study her memories and make sure that she gets them back the right way. I mean, I think the simplest way would be to just let her swallow it, but then she could just digest it and never get her memories back."

"Yeah, that might be a problem," Ferb noted. "Generally, what you could do, take a syringe and stick it in her neck, thought that might be a bit awkward doing it in public. Up to you."

"I'll do that, but I need to get her away from the others," Phineas said, thinking to tomorrow.

"Others?" Ferb inquired.

"She's at an orphanage."

"Seriously?"

"Yep."

"I'll tell Mrs. Garcia-Shapiro that you found Isabella," Ferb said. "Good luck tomorrow." Ferb ended the call.

"Right... So where do I find a syri-" Phineas began asking himself as he pulled an empty one from his backpack. "What the heck did Ferb pack in this thing?"
