Author's Note: I was disgusted with the ending of last night's Rumble. For three reasons:

1. Daniel Bryan wasn't an entrant, so there for couldn't even have a chance to headline Mania.

2. Means Daniel Bryan wasn't an entrant, Roman Reigns DESERVED to win! I cannot even be mad he eliminated Dean and Seth because Dean did try to eliminate him first. Yes it sucks we can clearly see the "light at the end of the tunnel" for the Shield, but at the same time I'm intrigued to see what they can do as singles competitors. Anyway, back to my initial point, Roman fucking dominated the damn match and broke the most eliminations in ONE Rumble record, previously 11, held by Kane. It was complete bull that he didn't win.

3. Batista should not have won! He hasn't even done anything. He came back 6 days before the Rumble, does nothing and yet he automatically punches his ticket to the main event at Wrestlemania, after sitting at home with his feet up watching TV and (most likely) drinking beer while guys like Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan have working their asses off to get where they are. Just disgusting, in my honest opinion.

Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. Now, back to the story. You all know I love cliff hangers(given I had like 5 of them in my last story,) to keep you all in suspense, and make you coming back for more, so the heads up on this chapter is I cliff hung it. But I promise, I cliff hung it in a GOOD way! Now, hopefully you all will still enjoy the chapter.

Chapter Eleven

It had been a month since Chasity's meeting with the adoption agency. She was now eighteen weeks, or four-in-a-half months in laments terms, along in her pregnancy. She'd been job searching since the day after her meeting with the adoption agency, but nobody seemed to be willing to hire her. It always sounded like she had the job and they were going to hire her, until they realized she was pregnant; then suddenly the tune changed to 'well we'll let you know if anything in your specific field should open up', or 'well, I have to run your application by my boss, I'll give you a call or send you an e-mail with his answer'. She had just deleted her most recent rejection e-mail, and it was seriously beginning to cause the frustration to mount.

Despite his hectic travel schedule for work, Jon had done just what he said he would. They had decided to leave all the bills in Chasity's name and every time a bill came in she would hand it, reluctantly, over to Jon. It wasn't that she wasn't grateful for his help, she was, but she hated being reliant on other people. For as long as she could remember she had always taken care of herself and been completely independent. It was frustrating to have to rely on somebody else for financial help.

Exiting out of her e-mail she slammed the top of her laptop shut; her frustration shining through. She wanted to cry, but her cell phone ringing forced her to choke back the tears when she saw Jon's name on the screen. "Hey Jon, what's up," she questioned, answering her phone.

"Hey Chas. I just arrived back in town and figured I'd check in on you and peanut." Chasity smiled. Ever since he had decided he was going to make sure the baby had some type of father-figure around he had taken to referring to the baby as "peanut" since Chasity hadn't found out the sex yet and 'peanut' was unisexed. She thought it was adorable.

"We're good. I was just checking my e-mail and catching up on a few things around the house. But now I'm getting ready to head to the doctor's. I have a sonogram today, and if the little one will cooperate I should know whether 'peanut' is a boy or girl by the end of the day," Chasity informed him. That information had Jon a little excited and immediately grabbing his keys.

"Mind if I come with you," he questioned, walking out of his apartment door before she'd even said he could come along. Chasity shrugged, though he couldn't see her through the phone.

"No, I don't mind. Actually, I'd welcome the company." That's all Jon needed to hear.

"I'll be at your apartment in a few minutes." Chasity laughed.

"You were already in the car before I said yes, weren't you?"

"Guilty," Jon confirmed. "I told you I wasn't letting you go through this alone." Chasity laughed.

"That's true you did," she agreed with him. "Alright, I'll see you in a few minutes," Chasity said as they hung up.

Jon picked up Chasity and they headed for the doctor's office. "So do you have a preference," Jon asked, eyes still trained on the road as he drove.

"No, not really," Chasity shook her head. "As long as he or she is healthy I don't care," she admitted. Jon smiled.

"Good attitude. Have you been able to feel it move at all yet?" Chasity nodded.

"It's not much and I'm the only one that can feel it at the moment, but yes there's a little movement," Chasity confirmed as they pulled into the parking lot. Jon shut the car off and climbed out. Walking around Jon helped Chasity get out of the car.

Jon sat down in a waiting room chair while Chasity went to get checked in at the receptionist's desk. When she turned to walk to the chair next to him, he caught a good glimpse of her profile and realized just how much she was truly showing now. She sat down next to him and smiled. "Why are you staring at me," she questioned, breaking Jon out of his trance. He hadn't intended for her to catch him, but he was so lost in his own world he hadn't realized she had turned her focus back to him.

"Sorry I didn't mean to. It's just… I didn't notice how big the baby had gotten since the last time I saw you until just now when I actually noticed your… baby bump," Jon questioned. "I think that's what they call it these days," Jon chuckled before he caught the frown on Chasity's face and watched her drop her head down in some kind of shame. He didn't even have to ask, he knew exactly what thought had entered her mind "Hey," Jon said hooking his finger under her chin as he lifted her head up to look at him. "Stop it! I know exactly what you're thinking and you're wrong! That baby needs room, so yes, your body is gonna chance, but you are not fat! So let that thought leave your head right now," Jon chastised.

Chasity appreciated Jon's words of encouragement, but unfortunately she couldn't say she actually believed him. She may not have much of a baby bump, but she still felt fatter than she ever had before. She was about to respond to him and tell him she appreciated his effort, but she knew she was fat, but a nurse called her name for the start of her appointment, so the conversation was dead for the time being.

Chasity and Jon followed the nurse to an exam room. The nurse gave Jon and odd look when she noticed him standing beside Chasity. "This is my friend, Jon. He's been helping me out a little bit lately." The nurse smiled and nodded in understanding.

"Well, why don't we weigh you, then I'll check your blood pressure before I leave you in doctor Mitchel and the ultrasound tech's hands." Chasity fought back a cringe at the mention of being weighed and followed the nurse over to the scale on the other side of the room. Despite her best effort to make the cringe invisible, Jon saw it and made a note to make sure they continued their earlier conversation later. She was being entirely too hard on herself, and he wasn't going to allow it.

The nurse left after weighing her and checking her blood pressure and Doctor Mitchel and an ultrasound tech entered the room with the ultrasound cart containing the ultrasound device. Doctor Mitchel was looking over Chasity's chart and reading off how she was doing as she entered the room, so it wasn't until she stopped and looked up she noticed Jon was with Chasity. "Oh, well hello," Doctor Mitchel said, surprise clearly evident in her voice. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize Chasity had brought someone with her today," she said, eying Jon suspiciously. Chasity nodded.

"Doctor Mitchel, this is my friend Jon; Jon, Doctor Mitchel," Chasity quickly introduced.

"Nice to meet you," Doctor Mitchel said, stretching out her hand to shake Jon's. Reciprocating the action Jon shook the doctor's hand.

"You too," he responded, releasing the doctor's hand.

"Chasity, I thought you told me you didn't know who the baby's father was," Doctor Mitchel questioned.

"I don't. Jon is just an old friend from high school who I had lost touch with until about a month or so ago. When he found out where I was working and that I was pregnant, he agreed to help me get out of there. He's been helping me out since," Chasity explained.

"I plan on making sure this baby has some type of father-figure to look up to, too," Jon quickly added. Doctor Mitchel nodded and smiled at the two friends.

During their short conversation the ultrasound tech was busy setting up the machine. "Whenever you guys are ready just let me know, I've got the machine all set up and ready to go," he said, directing the statement at Doctor Mitchel. She nodded her head and looked at Chasity.

"Are you ready to see your little one, Chasity," Doctor Mitchel asked. Chasity bit her lip and nodded. She was a bit nervous about this. She was still hesitant about keeping the baby and becoming a mother, but since the baby had started moving around every movement seemed to help her make up her mind a little more. Now she wanted to see what actually seeing the baby would do for her. "Alright, let's see if baby Gains will cooperate today, and if so, we will know if you should be thinking blue or pink," Doctor Mitchel told her.

It shouldn't bother him, but hearing the baby being called 'baby Gains', just didn't sound right to Jon. But he wasn't the father, and it wasn't his decision, so he'd just have to bite his tongue and let Chasity do whatever she wanted as far as naming the child went. He would just be there to make sure the kid didn't grow up without a male around to show them exactly how certain things were done.

While the ultrasound tech prepped Chasity for the ultrasound by squirting the cold gel on her stomach, Doctor Mitchel was slipping on gloves and preparing for the other half of the exam that was to follow the ultrasound, so Chasity took the time to quickly glance at Jon. She could tell he was immersed in more thoughts. Reaching out she grabbed his hand and squeezed it gently, bringing him back to reality. She gave him a quick smile. He returned the smile before they turned their attention to the ultrasound tech; who had started talking to Chasity.

"The fast thumping noise is obviously the baby's heartbeat. As you can hear, it's nice and strong, as it should be." The tech turned the screen a little more in Chasity's direction so she and Jon could see the baby as he examined the screen for a couple minutes. Doctor Mitchel was looking over his shoulder, a smile evident on her face. "So, you said you did want to know the sex, correct," the tech asked. Chasity nodded.

"Yes, please! I've had enough surprises in this pregnancy, if I can be spared one more that would be awesome." The tech chuckled and angled the screen even more in Chasity's direction.

"Okay, we'll get to that in one second. First I'll point out the other parts of the anatomy to you because I know if you're not used to reading ultrasounds they can be a little tricky. Here's the baby's head, there's one of their arms, and that's a leg, here's their other arm and their other leg." Chasity fought back tears as the tech pointed each body part out, and Jon leaned in closer to the screen, following the wand and the tech's finger to each area with his eyes, his brain just barely comprehending each body part as they went along. "And the sex is..." The tech adjusted the wand a little bit on Chasity's stomach again. "Well, you can go ahead and start thinking blue because it's most definitely a boy," he announced.
