Aaaaaaannnnnnd done! Here's the much anticipated chapter where Ruby will break up with Delta!

...okay, I'm joking. Delta's not gonna let her go that easily. Or should it be the other way around? Oh wait...did I really just spoil it? Fml...me and my random ramblings... Anyway, enjoy!

I wiped another tear from Ruby's eyes as she sniffled again, sitting on the hospital bed.

I had been sitting with her for what seemed like hours because the moment I left the classroom, she had broken down into a mess. I furrowed my brow, stroking her cheek in an attempt to comfort her as she sniffled again, suddenly lunging at me. I blinked in surprise as she began sobbing, wrapping her arms around my neck tightly as I whispered, "…what's up, Rubes?"

Ruby didn't say anything to me.

If anything, her sobbing got louder.

I could feel my heart wrenching itself out of place as I wrapped my arms around her body, bringing a hand up to stroke her hair. I could feel her dig her face into the crook of my neck as she began whimpering something I couldn't quite hear. Blinking, I tilted my head, leaning in a bit to hear her.

"…don't want…break up…I don't…nt to…!"

Sierra stood outside the room with Lima's ears perking in an attempt to hear the pair within better. Hotel spun a pen on his fingers as Lima motioned at Echo, who had been standing next to Sierra, concerned over the wellbeing of Ruby, feeling it his responsibility that Ruby almost got hurt. Sierra commended him for it; his team was usually more disciplined than that.

After a while, Lima glared at Echo, causing him to flinch in surprise as Sierra turned to him, curious.

"…I think she's saying it has something to do with Herald," Sierra said to him.

Lima nodded, her glare unfaltering as Team SWRD appeared. Wind immediately walked up to his Faunus girlfriend, reading the mood as he attempted to sooth her from her rage. Sword raised an eyebrow in curiosity as Echo said, "I wouldn't doubt that Herald didn't say anything to her."

"Oh, Plaxy?"

Sierra turned to Sword, eyebrow raised as the rest of Team RWBY came running in, gasping for breath as Sword continued, "Yeah, Plaxy."

"What the fuck," Echo said to his fellow leader, "Exactly what are you calling my teammate?"

"Well," Sword replied, "For you information, we were childhood friends."

"EH!?"

Everyone jumped backwards as Sword cut them off, raising his hand in a fist.

"Ahem," Sword cut them off, "Keyword: were."

"'were,'" Sierra repeated questioningly. Sword nodded and replied, "We were…up until she developed a bit of an obsession complex."

"Oh?"

Sierra quickly grew interested as Sword continued.

"Yeah," he said, "She began to grow distant and started hanging out with some…interesting characters. Hell, she would tell me stories and I would go right along."

Sword then turned to Echo and said, "You can't tell me that she's been telling you shit as well."

"Hmm…," Echo replied, touching his chin, "Point taken…like how she would always talk about making out with so-and-so and how good they were in bed, or even when she would sleep with a guy just to get cash?"

"Don't remind me," Sword said, shivering in disgust.

"Prostitution much?"

Sword turned back to Sierra, who was looking at him with an eyebrow raised.

"As much as I'd hate to admit," he replied, "Up until she met some guy that really got her attention."

"Who?"

"I think his name was…," Sword answered, "B…Bu…Bullseye…Magnum…?"

"Hah…Ruby…," I replied to her, having heard her ridiculous story. If anything, her mood grew even more depressing as she literally screamed in my lap. I swear, if anyone was standing outside of the room right now, they'd think I was trying to hurt her or something because her pain was my pain. My heart was throbbing so much at the moment that I suddenly kissed her, pushing her onto her back, hovering over her as I broke away quickly. Our eyes connected, my amethyst orbs into her now reddened silver orbs as I said, "Rubes…I'm not leaving you…nor am I gonna accept your proposal."

I could tell that she was gonna say something along the lines of following through with her bet until I mashed my mouth to hers, slipping my tongue into her mouth, quickly exploring familiar grounds. I could feel her attempting to push me off until I slid my left hand under her head, then down to her neck, attempting to find the remainder of the chain I had broken off.

there it is.

Pulling away, I pulled my hand back, holding the locket and the other half of the chain. I frowned and looked back at Ruby, who was now attempting to hide her face with her hands as I lined the chain back together.

I'll have to go and get a new one now.

"Ruby…."

Ruby looked up at me.

"I'd kill myself before I went out with anyone else."

Sierra slammed Sword against the opposite wall, causing Echo and the rest of Team SWRD to let out yelps of shock and surprise.

Sword found himself staring into the dangerously red eyes of the now furious Team SHLD leader as she yelled, "Bullseye MAGNUM!?"

"Sierra, calm down," Hotel said to her, putting a hand on her right arm.

Sierra's eyes slowly changed back, her breathing hard as Echo embraced her from behind and said, "Relax, love."

"Hah…," Sierra sighed out, dropping Sword as Echo asked, "Now then…do you know this 'Bullseye Magnum?'"

"If that son of a bitch were still around, I'd fucking kill him," she replied, albeit angrily.

"Whoa whoa whoa," Sword asked, readjusting the collar of his shirt, "What's your history with Bull?"

"Oh, you're friends with him?"

Sword suddenly found himself as a small man to Sierra as he reluctantly, and frighteningly, nodded.

Sierra narrowed her gaze, holding the arm Echo hand around her shoulders as she said, "…If you had been here our first year, Ruby and Delta's relationship was nonexistent."

There was a moment of silence.

Sword's eyes were wide open in shock and surprise as Yang grimaced, her heart throbbing at the memory of Delta in pain.

"Essentially," Hotel cut in, "Magnum had Ruby wrapped around his fingers."

"Whoa whoa whoa," Sword replied in sheer amazement, "There's no way that Bull would've had Ruby wrapped around his finger!"

"Oh yes he did," Sierra replied back, "He and his teammate almost killed Delta. Twice."

I laid in bed with Ruby, cuddling with her as she sniffled, finally having relaxed. I don't know how long I was with her, but all I knew was that it was important that I was with her for a few days. Even if she had made a deal with Herald, I wasn't going to let her go that easily.

"…don't force yourself," I mumbled to Ruby. I could feel her head move against my chest, suggesting that she nodded. I then began stroking her hair, attempting to comfort her a bit more as she croaked out, "…I should've…never took that bet…!"

I frowned and replied, "…and you really think I'm gonna let you go that quickly?"

Ruby moved her head away from mines a little so that we could see eachothers' faces. I stared into her silver orbs as I wiped away an impending tear. Smiling, I said, "And you're not gonna let me go easily as well, right?"

"Hell no," Ruby replied, suddenly head butting the pillow beneath my head, catching me by surprise. No matter how little she cussed nowadays, it still was shocking to hear her say even the smallest of swear words. With a sigh, I nuzzled her, smelling sweat mixed in with her usual strawberry scented shampoo, remembering that she hadn't washed up since her last fight.

"Ruby…."

"I love you, Del."

Wow, took the words right out of my mouth.

"I love you too, Rubes."

"No kidding," Sword said in amazement.

"Yeah," Sierra replied, "If I didn't know any better, I would say that your team basically took their spot on my shit list when Saber was still around."

Having finally finished the story that what was the fiasco with Team MGNM, Sword finally understood the complexity of Team SHLD's relationship with Team RWBY, especially between the two leaders.

"…So I take it something similar happened between Saber and Ruby?"

"So much he tried to rape her," Wind said, grimacing in disgust.

"Geez leeweez," Sword replied, scratching the back of his head.

Just then, the door to Ruby's medical room opened. Everyone turned their heads to face the couple coming out, Ruby holding Delta's hand tightly. Delta quickly took notice of Sierra's intensity, but didn't ask about it. She never liked talking about things when she was worked up.

Echo liked what he was seeing between the two as he walked up to them and placed a hand on Delta's shoulder. The younger boy looked up at Echo as he said, "I'll talk to Herald."

"Thank you," Ruby muttered out before Delta could answer, causing him to look at her in surprise.

"You're just taking everything out of my head today, aren't you?"

"…Hey guys…."

Ruby directed her comment to everyone and said, "…pull out your scrolls…."

Sword raised an eyebrow out of curiosity, reluctantly reaching for his scroll as Sierra immediately complied.

"Get ready to take a picture of us, please," Ruby stated.

Delta raised an eyebrow out of curiosity as he asked, "Ruby, wha…?"

"3…2…1…."

Sierra was about to hit the "SNAP" button until Ruby suddenly pulled Delta into a kiss, catching him off guard. Quickly, she activated her semblance, turning the surrounding area grey as she walked around, snapping the pictures for everyone as she snapped the last one for herself, snapping a finger to unfreeze time as Ruby quickly turned away, blushing. Delta did the same, holding his mouth as Yang said, "Seriously, no matter how many times I look at it, it's just so cute!"

"…Seriously Delta, enough with the PDA…," Echo muttered under his breath.

"Echo…."

Echo flinched at the menacing tone in Sierra's voice, his teeth involuntarily clattering together as she held a knife to his most sensitive area.

"…Just leave them alone, okay love?"

"Umm…but…."

Sierra's gaze intensified as she pressed the knife against his pants, causing him to squeak in surprise as he said, "Alright alright alright!"

"Good," Sierra replied, smiling at him as she flipped the knife in midair, catching it and skillfully re-sheathing it in her leg strap.
