Author's Note: Hope those that celebrate it had a nice Easter; for those that do not, hope you all had a nice day yesterday.

Now, here's chapter eighteen.

Chapter Eighteen

It had been roughly two weeks since Chasity had caught Jon in nothing but a towel coming out of the shower. The rest of that day she busied herself with finding a way to control her hormones; which proved much more difficult than Chasity had every thought was possible. Every time Jon came near her, she found herself biting into her lip; at one point even breaking the skin and drawing blood. His cologne smelled stronger than normal and it was taking making her use every fiber of her being not to just jump him right then and there.

By the time she had left his apartment that night she was glad she wouldn't be seeing him for a couple of weeks because WWE had booked him and his Shield cohorts, along with a bunch of other superstars, for shows overseas in Abu Dhabi. By the time they would make it back to the States, it would be time for them to tape RAW and Smackdown. Chasity thought it would've been good for her because she figured it would give her extra time to sort out her hormonal issues and get herself back to normal.

But that was then and this was now, and nothing she did fixed her new found sex drive toward Jon. In fact, all it really seemed to do was the exact opposite. She hadn't been able to stop thinking about him, and the phone calls they had shared while he was away surely didn't help her, either.

When she wasn't talking to him on the phone, she was reminiscing back to their high school days. She'd thought about times they'd hang out and just watch TV, or the times they would go to the club that was made specifically for minors to hang out in. There were even the times toward the end of their friendship the first time around, where she would accompany him to a few of his wrestling matches. Most people thought they were together then, but they weren't. Sure, they had shared the odd kiss here or there; they'd even had sex a few times, but it was while they were at parties, and there was always alcohol involved. Nothing ever actually came of any of it when they were sober. They just chalked it up to two under-agers drinking and having a good time, and things getting a little out of hand.

But looking back on it now, Chasity wasn't so sure that's what it was anymore. As they say, the truth comes out when you're drunk. Had their drunken escapades really been their true feelings shining through? Why hadn't she seen it then? Why did it take her getting pregnant, by another man no less, and the pregnancy hormones she was suffering from, to make her open her eyes?

She had so many questions that seemingly had no answers. Or at least, no easy answers.

Jon had just gotten off the plane and was headed to his apartment when he decided to take a detour to Chasity's instead. She had been acting strange since right before he had left and he wanted to know what was going on. Pulling up in front of her apartment he killed the engine, pulling his keys from the ignition before quickly jumping out and slamming the door shut. Walking up to Chasity's door, Jon rang the doorbell and waited for her to answer.

Chasity had just finished cleaning up her apartment a bit because she was trying to distract herself again when she heard her doorbell being rung. She wasn't expecting anyone so instead of stupidly just opening the door she quickly glanced through the peephole to see who it was. She froze. Seeing Jon was the last thing she had expected. She knew he'd be arriving back in town today; he had told her that, but she figured he'd at least call her before he came over. She hadn't been expecting to see him today, and after her apparent revelations about their teenage years, she wasn't sure seeing him right now was such a good idea.

Jon knew she was home, her car was in its assigned parking space. He rang the bell again. "Chas, come on, I know you're home. I saw your car parked in your spot. First you were acting weird, and now are you completely avoiding me?" Jon had no idea why she wasn't answering the door, but it definitely confirmed to him that something was up with her. He couldn't think of anything he'd done wrong, and if he had done anything, she needed to tell him so he could work on fixing it. "Did I do something wrong? If so, I'll fix it, but I can't fix it, if you don't tell me what I did," he called, hoping she was standing inside listening to him. "So come on, open the door and clue me in to what's going on. Please," he asked, all but begging.

Chasity knew it wasn't fair to keep him standing outside. It wasn't his fault her hormones opened her eyes and caused her to realize that the entire time she was his best friend she was actually harboring feelings for him. Against her better judgment, she finally opened the door. "Hey Jon, what are you doing here," Chasity asked. She tried her hardest to act normal and conceal her nervousness, but she knew she'd failed miserably by Jon's facial expression.

Chasity's nervous state further proved to Jon that something wasn't right. "I just got home, so I figured I'd swing by because I haven't been here, or seen you, in two weeks." Jon stopped talking, an idea suddenly in his mind, he glanced around Chasity into the apartment. He was looking for signs of another guy being around. Perhaps her weird behavior was due to the fact she was in a new relationship? That would crush Jon, but he wouldn't let her knew that. To cover up his investigation tactic, he made it seem like he noticed something inside. "Wow, you cleaned up nicely. So can I come in, so you can tell me what's with your new behavior, or do you want me to go home," he questioned.

Chasity shrugged. She wanted to tell him to go home because she wasn't sure she could stand being in the same place as him, let alone room, but she couldn't do that when he knew something was up. "Sure. Sorry, I'm a little distracted lately. I think it's the infamous "pregnancy brain" everyone's always talking about," Chasity chuckled, hoping to cover her nervousness. Jon laughed with her, but actually looked at her entire body for the first time since he'd gotten to her apartment. It had only been two weeks, but he could see her baby bump had gotten quite a bit bigger.

"Speaking of which, I see he's gotten bigger," Jon said, motioning toward her bigger belly. Chasity nodded.

"Yup, he has. According to my last checkup a couple days ago, he's already reached three pounds, and is measuring about fifteen in a half inches long, and I've still got four months left before he's due," Chasity sighed, placing her hand against her bump. "Doctor Mitchel said if he keeps growing like this, by the time I reach the thirty-seven week mark he should be measuring somewhere around eight in a half pounds. If that happens, they're going to induce me because thirty-seven weeks is considered full-term, and waiting at that point would be more dangerous than productive," Chasity informed him.

"Well, it's good he's growing, but maybe not at the rate at which he's doing so. Hopefully he'll slow down a little bit." Chasity nodded.

"Hopefully, but I guess if I was to deliver early, as long as it's not too early, it wouldn't be too bad," Chasity said.

Chasity had gotten so wrapped up in talking to Jon about Kaleb she had managed to forget why she was nervous about talking to him. That was until Jon changed the subject. "So, what's been going on with you?" Chasity shrugged.

"Not much. Still trying to find a job and survive this pregnancy." Jon shook his head.

"That's not what I meant, and you know it, but that is good to know." Chasity was confused.

"Then what did you mean?" Jon shook his head.

"You've been acting weird since before I left. Something is up, and I'm not leaving here until you tell me what it is. Did you find a new guy and start a new relationship? It took you an awful long time for you to answer the door when I got here. Did you have him hide in a closet somewhere because you're afraid to tell me you're in a relationship and now he's going to be Kaleb's dad?"

Chasity was shocked by his accusation. Was he serious? How could he possibly think she'd have gone out and found a guy with all her trust issues? "Are you serious, Jon? You think I'd go out and start dating the first guy I meet? With all my trust issues thanks to my previous dating situations and my adolescence, you actually think I'd be able to do that?"

Jon realized how ridiculous it sounded now that she said that, but what was he supposed to think when she was acting so strange around him. "Well I don't know what else to think, Chas. You've been acting really strange toward me since before I left, and the only thing I can think of is that you found someone new and he's going to be Kaleb's dad, and you're being strange because you don't know how to tell me." Chasity shook her head.

"No, there's no new guy," Chasity told him, still trying to get over that accusation.

"Then what the hell is going on? And don't you dare say 'nothing' because if you do, I'll know you're lying because I know there's something up. It's time to be honest with me, so I'll ask one last time, what's going on?"

Chasity knew she had absolutely no way out of this. Her only way out was to tell him the absolute truth, but his reaction to what she was going to confess scared her. She was afraid he would flip out when she told him. She was scared that he was going to laugh in her face and call her insane. But her biggest fear was that this revelation would lead to losing the connection they'd just worked so hard to get back, and that alone actually scared her more than Jon outright rejecting her.
