I'm back y'all! But seriously; either someone is really into Weiss or what. Then again, they do make a pretty good couple in my opinion...oh well. Enjoy!
"Hah…."
"What's up?"
"…Nothing much…."
Sword slumped in his chair, having walked to the library with Weiss in a vain attempt to spend some time with her before she left for the festival. However, their time together was quickly dominated with Weiss wanting to go and study. Not being one to argue, Sword complied, but then quickly lost hope on spending time not used on studying.
"Sword?"
"…hmm…?"
Turning to face her, his eyes met hers as she asked, "Umm…did you…well…want to do something before I left?"
"Preferably," he replied, "Something other than helping me maintain a perfect GPA."
"Oh," Weiss sighed, closing her book, "Why didn't you say so?"
"Because you're a book worm," Sword replied as he sat back up, packing his books. Weiss sighed, then grinned as she patted his back, catching his attention as she said, "I'm not so heartless that I'd deny you a date, hun."
"Huh," Sword replied, then took note of the "hun" part of her sentence. Turning toward her, he raised an eyebrow as she blinked back at him in confusion. He slowly hiked the backpack onto his shoulder as he asked, "Where'd that come from?"
"Huh?"
"'Hun,'" he repeated, "I mean, I call you 'love' every now and then, but 'hun?'"
"What," Weiss replied, flustering up, "Is it wrong for me to be calling you sweet things?"
"No," Sword continued, pulling her into an impromptu hug. Weiss gasped, stiffening up at the sudden embrace as he said, "You were really…cute when you said that, love."
Weiss sighed, resting her head on his shoulder, secretly smiling as she wrapped her arms around his back. Giggling, Weiss pulled away slightly, turning her face away from him. Sword raised an eyebrow in curiosity as she leaned up to him. Instinctively, he leaned down, meeting her lips with his own.
"ATTENTION ALL TEAMS GOING TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS YEAR'S VYTAL FESTIVAL!"
Both of them opened their eyes and pulled away, looking up at the PA.
"YOUR SCHEDULED FLIGHTS WILL LEAVE IN 15 MINUTES! PLEASE GO TO THE DOCKING AREA IMMEDIATELY!"
Sword sighed, then stood up and reached out to Weiss and asked, "Shall we get going, Mademoiselle?"
Just then, the PA came on again as Glynda Goodwitch's voice yelled, "THAT MEANS YOU, TEAM SHLD!"
Both of them stayed frozen for a moment as Sword could mentally hear Team SHLD laughing their hearts out. Finally, Sword began laughing as he helped Weiss up to her feet, hearing her giggling a bit as well. The two began walking towards the door, mentally preparing for their long trip.
Sierra snapped her fingers, causing the surrounding area to regain its original colors as we stood at the docking bay. Looking around, I took notice of Lima, who immediately walked over to Team CFVY and began circling Velvet, who seemingly jumped in surprise. Coco lowered her glasses, then smiled as she began petting her head, causing Lima to wag her ears happily. I then turned to Sierra, who was watching from the corner of her eye, smiling as Ozpin suddenly appeared, catching our attentions.
"Sierra," he said, motioning for her to go to him. Sierra glanced back at me, silently exchanging words with me as she went over to him. I sighed, turning back to Lima, who had apparently walked back over to me as Hotel whistled and said, "The entire school's going?"
"…Most…," Lima replied, "…Optional…."
"Right," Hotel said back, shading his eyes from the sun with his hand. I then turned back to Sierra, who was apparently getting into a conversation with Ozpin as she had crossed her arms.
The only times she ever crosses her arms are when she's really ticked, annoyed, or serious. This can't be good….
I hiked my bag again as I heard Sword from behind me ask, "You ready?"
I turned around, seeing him with the rest of Team SWRD. I smirked at him, raising my fist at him. Sword smirked back, fist bumping with me as Wind walked up to Lima, who perked her ears at him. Wind smiled at her, petting her head as Sword asked me, "So what did you guys do to make Goodwitch mad at you all?"
"I'm…not sure myself," I replied as I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning back around, Sierra said, "Time to board."
"H-huh? Okay," I replied. I blinked, immediately turning to her as the area turned gray and asked, "What's up?"
"There's a slight change of plan," Sierra replied, "White Fang's acting up again."
"Really now?"
Sierra nodded and replied, "Stay on guard when we get there."
"Roger that," I replied as she sighed, the area turning back into its original color.
Walking toward the shuttle we were boarding, I instinctively stopped, turning around to see a cloud of roses flying right towards me.
I knew it would be too good to be true.
Catching the blur, Ruby's smile filled my eyes as she said, "See you, Del!"
"See you?"
"Yeah! See you later!"
With that, she smothered my lips with hers, feeling awkward in the sea of students that surrounded us. I suddenly felt all eyes on me as Ruby pulled away, grinning madly at me. I blinked, feeling sweat going down my temples as I felt something yank me by my collar, causing me to gawk as she waved bye to me.
Regaining my footing, I shot a silent glare at Hotel, but then sighed in thankfulness at him taking me out of my situation. I could tell he was grinning madly despite his back being to me. With a sigh, I patted his back and said, "Thanks."
Stepping up on the shuttle, I took one last glance back at Beacon, suddenly seeing a face full of Sierra as she stated, "Don't look back; keep your eyes forward."
"I know that," I replied, turning back into the shuttle.
I know that very well.
