I'm back! I was at a conflict trying to decide whether or not to finalize this chapter or not. But since I've submitted it, I might as well. And omg, it's the final five chapters...man, I've gone a long way! Anyway, enjoy!

"You're lucky," the doctor stated, "If it weren't for your semblance, you probably wouldn't have even made it this far."

I raised an eyebrow in surprise as Hotel sighed and stated, "…as to be expected."

Hotel then made to stand up, only for the doctor to say, "Not so fast…."

With that, the doctor then pulled out a pointer of sorts and hit the back of his knees causing his legs to buckle as he landed back on the bed. I held back a laugh given the seriousness of the situation as he silently glared at the man with the clipboard. The doctor scoffed and continued, "That doesn't mean you're clear for combat yet, young man. Your injuries, despite your aura, are going to take some time to heal."

"But it doesn't hurt," Hotel argued futily.

"Hotel."

We all turned to Sierra, who had her arms crossed as she said, "I know you want to fight. But in your condition, your body's going to deteriorate even more than it already has if you don't let it heal properly."

"But-."

"No 'buts,'" Sierra replied, "You've already had to go through one surgery to remove all that scar tissue you accumulated two years ago; I don't need you going down for good."

Hotel opened his mouth again to argue, but then let out a sigh as he said, "…very well…."

Lima's ear twitched as she walked over to him and gave him a pat on the cheek. She softened her eyes some more as she gave him a kiss on the forehead, causing him to close an eye as she said, "…rest up…."

"Mm," he replied, sighing as he flopped onto the bed. I smiled as Lima made her way back over to us and wagged her ears happily, smiling back at me. Petting her head, she let out happy whimpers as Sierra chuckled and said, "Alright you two, let's get moving."

"So this is the room," Sierra stated, sliding the card key through the slot. I blinked, uninterested as I failed to notice Lima's ear twitch. I began to walk into the room, only to run into Sierra, who quickly side stepped, catching my attention as I felt a chop on the head.

A hard chop on the head.

Cringing over in pain, I gripped my head and held what felt like a huge welt that was growing as a very familiar voice stated, "You should always be paying attention, son."

Looking up, I spotted identical amethyst irises, as well as the deep violet hair as I stuttered, "M-m-mom!?"

"Well," she stated, "At least you haven't forgotten about me."

"How can I forget about you," I muttered, looking away, only to receive a slap on the cheek, sending me flying back into the hallway, going through the opposite wall. My mom kept a smile, her fingers twitching in mild annoyance as I faintly heard her say, "That's no way to talk to your mother, young man."

"…Umm…?"

Shaking my head, I crawled out of the hole, quickly spotting Lima walking circles around my mom as she squealed and pulled my partner into a tight hug, catching her by surprise.

"Oh my goodness, you're so cute! I knew Ara wasn't lying, but you are so much cuter in real life!"

I could faintly hear Lima's gawking noises as she struggled to get oxygen, her ears flailing in distress as my mom continued swinging her around. Just then, a hand reached out and touched her shoulder, causing her to stop as Ara's voice said, "Now now Rosaline, that's no way to be handling my daughter; she's still a delicate little flower."

"Delta."

Sierra's voice caught all of our attentions as she turned and shot me a questioning look. I sighed, smiling as I said, "That's Rosaline Ordance. My mom-."

"Delta?"

Ruby's voice caught me by surprise as I turned to my left to see her walk up to me.

"Oh, hi Ruby," I replied, immediately feeling daggers piercing through my very being.

Suddenly, I could feel my mom's shadow behind me as she asked, "So Delta…this is Ruby Rose?"

"U-umm, yeah," I replied, feeling a shiver go down my spine as Ruby blinked in confusion.

C'mon, you should remember her, mom. The girl I'd always be walking home with?

"Well now," my mom stated, "You've grown into quite the young lady, Ruby."

Ruby blinked in confusion as Yang patted her back and said, "Oh you silly, that's Delta's mom, remember?"

I chuckled as Ruby blinked, comprehending what Yang had just said as she quickly bowed and said, "Oh, I-I'm so sorry I didn't recognize you! I-it's j-just been a long time so-!"

"Ruby."

I stood her up and muttered, "…I'll hang out with you later, alright?"

"…okay," she replied, suddenly pulling me into a hug, catching me off guard. I could feel more daggers piercing through my body as Ruby then gave me a quick peck on the lips, taking off just as quickly, dragging Weiss off. Blake simply stared after them as Yang said, "Well, we ought to catch up with them, should we Kitty?"

However, before Blake could reply, Lima walked over to her, catching Ara's attention as the younger faunus girl immediately rubbed her cheek on the older girl's own cheek. Blake blushed in annoyance as Lima then smiled at her, walking back over to us. I then looked back at Ara, who had an eyebrow raised in surprise as Yang and Blake both took off to attempt to catch up with the two.

"Ruby!"

I watched as Ruby turned around, her face immediately glowing into a smile as she waved at me. I ran up to her just as quickly, stopping just in front of her as I picked her up. It felt like it had been forever since it's just been the two of us.

Setting her back on her feet, Ruby immediately dug her face up against the crook of my neck. I blinked, then smiled as I stroked the back of her head, taking in the scent of her hair as she said, "…It's been a while since it's just been the two of us, hasn't it?"

"Yeah," I replied, "I has been."

Just then, something felt…off.

I don't know what it was, but the mood didn't seem right.

Ruby must've sensed it as well as she stiffened up slightly, then attempted to look over my shoulder, concealing the fact that she was looking around. I did the same, resting my face on her shoulder as something caught the corner of my eye. Looking up, I could see a shadow against the glow of the moon. From what it looked like, it appeared to be a man. A very tall man. Much bigger than Hotel.

Horns…a faunus.

Just then, I looked to my right, seeing a blade of sorts headed straight for us. I widened my eyes in surprise and pulled Ruby down to the ground with me as the force of the swing blew a breeze against us.

"Go Ruby," I yelled, "GO!"

With that, we moved at blinding speeds as she finally skidded to a stop several seconds later, both of us spinning our bodies back onto our feet. I then glanced behind us as something cut through a building that Ruby had just run around, the top half dissipating into rose petals. Blinking in confusion, I then looked at Ruby, who was poised with Crescent Rose in hand. I then looked at the man before us, holding what appeared to be a katana, wearing a mask similar to a Grimm's mask. And my suspicions were confirmed; he was bigger than Hotel.

"…Ruby," I breathed out, "Go get Sierra."

"What? No, I'm not-!"

"We aren't a match for him," I stated, "Go get her. Now!"

With that, I could sense the surge of aura as Ruby disappeared. I formed two of my swords in my hands as the man stated, "This should be fun."

He then sheathed his katana, immediately raising an alarm in my system.

Speed swordsman. But how fast…?

Gripping my swords tighter, I failed to notice his blade flying towards my temple once more. I widened my eyes in surprise, catching the man grinning an instant before it reached me.

Grunting, I leaned back, but then heard his sword get sheathed again. Raising one of my own swords, I felt a heavy blowback as a loud "CLANG" filled the area. Rotating my body, I skidded across the ground as a gunshot filled the air. The butt of the katana handle then hit my midsection and forced the air out of my lungs, causing me to gawk as the man reappeared before me, taking hold of the katana in midair. Instinctively, I began parrying his blows, albeit barely, before I felt a sharp pain shoot through my upper left arm, causing me to let out a silent scream of pain. However, I didn't have any room to breathe as I began parrying the lightning fast movements once more, this time getting cut on the right leg, then my abdomen, then my right forearm as I was then blasted backwards by a sudden gunshot.

Scrapping along the ground, I struggled to get back to my feet as the man approached me, giving a sinister laugh.

"Pathetic."

I looked up and glared at the man as he raised his sword. Gritting my teeth, I gripped my sword tighter and closed my eyes, running best and worst case scenarios in my head in an attempt to get myself out of the situation.

Attempt to counter? Both my arms are shot though. Roll? He's too fast for that. Tackle? Too reckless….

I then prepared myself for the inevitable. However, the sound of metal clashing on metal filled the air, causing me to open my eyes to see Sierra's boot go in for a crescent kick, sending the man flying backwards. I blinked, then saw Ruby run out in front of me as the man got up, sheathing his sword yet again as he prepared to fight Sierra and Ruby. However, he then appeared shocked as I could hear Blake in the background say aloud, "A…Adam…?"

With a "TCH," the man cut down a street lamp and kicked it our way. Instinctively, I pushed Ruby aside and jumped at it, cutting it in half as Sierra then kicked the two pieces out of the way herself. I immediately doubled over, feeling the pain all over again as Ruby immediately ran over to me.

"See? I told you I shouldn't have left you!"

"Even if—gh—you stayed, his sword was too—nn—fast," I replied, my clothing quickly getting stained with blood.

Just then, my mother appeared and yelled, "Ara!"

"On it," Ara replied, blurring past us as she chased the attacker.

Lima immediately ran over to me, concern written all over her face as Sierra said, "Dammit, now Delta…."

Gritting her teeth, she kicked one of her knives that was sitting on the ground and screamed, "FUCK!"

"Sierra," my mother said, walking up to her.

Sierra's breathing grew labored as she grit her teeth, falling down to the ground, burying her face in her hands as she began to sob, albeit quietly. I looked at her form with my mother hovering over it, feeling helpless as Ruby helped me back up to my feet, the stinging in my right leg causing me to hiss in disagreement.

And that's partially why I was at a conflict whether I should've written a different story line to it...oh well.
