Chapter 12

"Rose I understand your need to bring Dimitri back, but do you even know where he's been taken?" It was Mia who had spoken. Everyone else was looking at me for an answer. I must applaud Mia for her courage. Even after having the crazy adventure she went on with Mason and Eddie, she never backed down. Now, when I think of when Lissa and I were found and brought back, Mia hated our guts. But after everything, we actually had grown so close.

"Well, no I don't. But I know someone who might be able to help us" I was positive that he would help me. I borrowed Lissa's phone and dialled his number. He helped me a lot and I'm sure if I put in a favour, he would surely help me. The line kept ringing until someone finally picked it up.

"Mazur" He said in deep, gruffly voice.

"Mazur" He said in a deep, gruffly voice.

"Hello to you too, Old Man" I was almost positive he would help me with this crazy adventure.

"Little Girl! Haven't heard from you in a long time! What crazy adventure you've taken on now?" His voice told me if I dropped the bomb of my location, he wouldn't be surprised in the least.

"Well, I'm in Russia on this crazy mission because-" I was cut off before I could finish my sentence.

"Let me guess, you are in Russia because you have to save your crazy ex-mentor/ex-strigoi-boyfriend because he made the stupid decision of running away because he didn't want to hurt you? Am I right?" I was stunned to say the least. How could he possibly know that?

"You know old man, its rude to interrupt whilst someone is speaking" What can I say, I'm pretty cocky myself. I think I know whom I get that from. Abe let out a loud bark of laughter.

"Oh, little girl. Don't worry, I already knew about you and Belikov. I'm not stupid" His voice made me calm. Even though I should be scared of my dad finding out about my kind of illegal relationship with my mentor.

"How, um did you know that?" I asked hesitantly. I would've laughed if it weren't me in this position.

"It's a secret little girl. It wouldn't be one if I told you. By the way, I have a surprise for you. Why don't you come downstairs?" His voice was giddy.

"Abe, where are you?" I quickly jumped up from my seat and sprinted to the window, which gave the beautiful view of this city.

"I'm not really sure" The man was getting on my last nerves. "Maybe you could help me around this beautiful city?"

I didn't think twice before running through the long hallways and down the stairs. I vaguely heard everyone else behind me. I pushed open the massive doors and I saw Abe, leaning against his Mercedes. Total show off. As soon as he saw me, he took off his stupid glasses and smiled. I ran upto him and threw arms around him.

Even though I had only recently found out about my long lost dad who left, which I'm not sure about why I have to ask him that, I'm very close to him. Well I like to think I am. I would most definitely love for Abe to be in my life.

As he put my small body back down on the ground, I looked up to him. I punched in his bicep.

"What the hell, couldn't you tell me that you were coming, I could've picked you up from the airport?" Abe laughed.

"Oh hush little girl, so this everyone you've bought along with you on this crazy adventure of yours?" I turned around to see everyone standing there. Lissa, Christian, Adrian, Mia, Eddie. I didn't realize that the guardians were here as well. Well, it makes sense. I mean they had to protect all the Moroi.

"Rose," I definitely recognized the seriousness in his voice. "You do realize that when you go back to the Court..," I didn't let him finish. I just nodded my head.

"I'll most probably be put in jail." Lissa's worry hit me like a train. No Rose, I'm not going to let you go.

"It can change though" Lisa said. We all stared at her, although I kind of guessed what was going to happen.

"Before the Queen gets elected, they will put you in jail., temporarily of course. The final decision will only happen after someone is elected as Queen. The decision has to go through the Queen. And if I become one, I can change it. Can't I?"

We all stared at her, confused. Will I be able to handle the stress that comes with becoming a Queen? I mean, Lissa is one of the best candidates for the Queen. Even at such a young age she knows what's right and what's wrong. And being her best friend I would be honoured to help her.

I smiled at her. I gave her a knowing look. We'll talk about it later, okay? I nodded my head slightly.

"Let's go upstairs and figure out the plan, shall we?" Abe lead all of us through. That's when I realized that I had to be stop being so weak. Yes, Dimitri chose to leave and look at the result of that. I'm weaker than ever. I'm strong and I can do this. I will get you back Dimitri.

My eyelids felt like they weighed a ton. As my senses came alive, I felt ropes surrounding my chest and ankles. Oh, no.

My eyes flew open and almost closed them again. The light was way to bright. As my eyes adjusted to the brightness, I took in the scene. I was in a room. A very congested room.

I looked around and the sight I saw almost shattered my heart into pieces. It was Vika. All beaten up. Bloodied. And tied to a chair. Her eyes were closed and she needed medical attention as soon as possible. Whoever did this to her was going to pay.

"Good to see you are finally awake" Someone spoke. That was voice. I've heard it. Only it was a lot colder, distant.

It was almost unbearable to keep my eyes open. The light was too bright. I don't know how long I've been out cold for.

The person emerged from the shadows and it almost broke my heart. It was Tasha. I should've listened to Rose. She was right.

Tasha was my childhood friend. I only had a few friends, and she was one of the few.

"Oh Dimka, how long I've waited for this. How long I've waited for you. No that Rose isn't here, I have you all to myself" She cackled. Oh dear god this was not happening.

The nightmares still haunt me. The nightmare of what I had done to all those innocent people. To what I had done to Rose. Although I know that should leave that behind, I was an immortal vampire who couldn't tell the difference between right and wrong, I can't.

I stared into Tasha's blue eyes that were now ringed with red. I looked away. Before I knew what was happening, Tasha sank her teeth into my skin. After the initial shock and pain followed the pleasure. It was blissful. I soon realized that Tasha was draining my blood. I could literally feel the life draining out of me. My head tilted to face Vika, only to see her eyes wide open, skin pale. I gave her a slight smile. Her eyes watered.

And before I knew it, I had slipped into oblivion.
