Hello, and thanks so much guys. I thank y'all who have hung with me for 100 chapters. So, I apologize if this chapter seems a bit rushed, but I'll catch up with y'all in the sequeal! Whoops, I wasn't supposed to say that. Anyway, ENJOY!
"So Sierra…."
"Hmm?"
Sierra looked up at Ozpin, who was looking at her expectantly. I kept my gaze on my leader, whose arm was casted up, as she looked up at our headmaster. Ozpin kept his eyes on her as she turned her gaze away. I could sense Lima in distraught as Sierra gazed away again, shifting uncomfortably in the hospital bed.
"Would you please explain what happened?"
"Umm…well…," Sierra stammered, scratching the back of her head uncomfortably.
Ozpin continued his gaze on her, then looked away as he walked over to the nearby window. We all followed him as Sierra finally glanced up, her brow furrowed in concern as Ozpin said, "Sierra…I don't want another incident happening…like what happened to Team RWBY two years ago."
I immediately looked at Ruby, who had glanced away.
"…Ruby…?"
"Please don't ask about it," I heard her mumble.
"…Alright…," I replied, then turned back to face Sierra, who finally sighed as she said, "…fine…."
"Well…let's get to the knit and gritty," Sierra said, albeit melancholically, "the enemy is my sister."
I widened my eyes in shock.
Her…sister…?
"Si…erra…?"
Lima seemed just as shocked from the sound of her voice. I also heard Ruby gasp as the door behind me opened. I turned around, spotting Hotel as he walked in, his gaze away from us as he was quickly followed up by Goodwitch, Ironwood, Ara, and my mom.
"…Scarlet Trueblood…," Sierra continued, "…off of my mother's side…she's an enemy…."
"No…no way…," I breathed out in disbelief. And suddenly, it began to occur to me. The way their stature was the same. The way Sierra used her kicks as of late compared to that woman's own kicks.
"Her semblance is what my dad called, 'Blood for Blood.' She's able to increase her physical abilities by using her blood, or even her own aura. However…."
We all glanced at Sierra once more.
"I won't be able to tell you what's running through her head," she finally stated, "what runs through her head and my head are our thoughts, and ours alone."
"…took the words right out of my mouth," Ironwood stated, flabbergasted, "Incredible…."
"…hah…," Ruby sighed, having told me the entire story of what had happened two years ago.
"I see," I replied, seeing her shift uncomfortably on the bench we had sat at in the local park. Ruby, who had felt bad, had dragged me to the local park to let out her feelings, leaving herself in a depressed state as I turned to face her. I could see a look of shame on her face, almost as if she were at a crossroads as to how she had handled her own situation two years ago.
"…I'm a joke of a lea-," Ruby was about to say before I cut her off by pulling her close to me. Her eyes were widened in surprise as I said, "Hey…it's all in the past now."
"B-but-," she was about to say again, only to get cut off by me stealing a kiss from her.
Pulling away, I smiled at her and said, "Don't worry about it, okay?"
"But…Del…," Ruby mumbled again, dropping her gaze.
"Hey," I said, "We all handle things differently."
Ruby finally looked at me as I continued, "We all do things differently so…you did things the way you saw fit. And things are alright, aren't they? So don't worry about it."
Ruby's gaze ventured away from my own again as she conflicted with how to handle the situation. I couldn't help but smile as I turned her body so I could properly hold her. I could feel her tense up as I said, "Rubes…really, it's okay."
"Delta…."
"Regardless," I continued, "I'd still love you, Ruby."
"Del…," Ruby mumbled as I pulled away, lifting her chin. Smiling, I stared into her silver orbs, lost and confused as they were as I continued, "No matter what, I'll always love you, Ruby."
"Oh, Del," Ruby sighed, a giggle quiet, but audible in her voice as she finally returned the embrace.
"By the way," I heard my mom ask me as I began downing a cup of water, "When do you plan on making me some grandchildren."
I suddenly found myself choking on the water, throwing the now empty cup across the hotel room, narrowly missing Lima, who was at work on another project.
Finally finding my voice again, I turned to my mom and asked, "Wh-WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ASKING-!?"
Suddenly, I took a knuckle sandwich to my cranium, causing me to double over as she said, "Echo has told me some...interesting stories of you and Ruby, son."
E…Echo….
I looked back at her.
You're fucking dead.
I suddenly saw Lima perk her ear from the corner of my eye. I slowly turned to the door as a knock caught my attention. Lima's lips slowly curled up into a grin as she almost couldn't contain her inner laughter.
Walking over to the door, I opened it, spotting eyes similar to my mom's as Echo asked, "What's up, cuz? Sierra in-?"
I then sent a sword flying past his head, the wind sending his hair flying as he opened his eyes, turning back around to find my sword embedded into the opposite wall.
"Echo…!"
"Umm…what…?"
"You're fucking dead," I stated, summoning both of my swords into my hands as I sent him flying down the hallway with a good slash to his neck.
Ugh…damn aura….
"ECHO! YOU'RE DEAD!"
"So your sister," Ozpin asked, "does this mean your family is…?"
"…No," Sierra replied, "Scarlet's the only one that I know of that was with the White Fang."
"'With the White Fang?'"
"Yes," Sierra continued, "Up until Torchwick was captured…however, I'm not sure what happened cuz she never came back home."
"You say that like you never liked your sister," Ozpin said, catching wind of the distaste in her voice.
"…Well, I did envy her…when I didn't have a semblance," Sierra stated, "I…I was jealous."
"I see," Ozpin replied, "That is understandable."
"Yeah," Sierra sighed, "Then I began freezing time and…well…."
"So now you wish to surpass her," Ozpin finished for her.
"…In short, yeah," Sierra said, "If it meant my parents…would…."
Ozpin continued watching her as she shook her head, quickly wiping away at her wet eyes with her working hand.
"U-umm," Sierra stammered, "S-sorry-!"
"No no no," Ozpin cut her off, "I understand quite well."
"O-oh," Sierra replied, "I…I see…."
"Sierra."
Sierra looked up at the headmaster.
"Do remember," Ozpin stated, "That no matter what, you'll have not just your team, but all of us teachers at Beacon."
"Right," Sierra replied, unconsciously grinning as she felt a warmth well up into her chest.
"They're like my family," Sierra thought to herself, "I have to continue protecting them."
"…Thank you, headmaster."
Ozpin smiled at her, but then turned to the door. Sierra blinked in confusion, then began to pick up on the faint sound of someone screaming, then a screech, then another scream.
"No way," Sierra thought to herself again, "That sounds like…is that…?"
Suddenly, the door burst open as Echo ran into the room and yelled, "SIERRA! PLEASE STOP HIM!"
Just then, a sword went flying through the room, narrowly missing Echo's head as it broke through the window. Sierra suddenly burst into uncontrollable laughter as Delta tackled Echo through the window, a scream of fear coming from the latter as Delta's voice echoed, "I'VE GOT YOU NOW, FAGGOT!"
Ozpin smiled hopelessly as Echo's cries of fear and pain filled the air as his aura shattered. Suddenly, a blast of electricity filled the air, as well as the sound of feet running away as Delta screamed, "GET BACK HERE YOU COWARD!"
"Daammiiittt," I groaned out, feeling my hands continuing to tingle as Sierra laughed again and said, "That's why you shouldn't be chasing after your cousin with the intent to kill him."
"Oh shut it," I replied as I heard Hotel chuckling behind me. I could feel Lima walking around me, clearly distressed at the amount of electricity that my body was still trying to discharge. With a growl, she suddenly left my side, causing me to turn around as she grabbed what looked like rods attached to wires. I blinked in confusion as she walked up to me, pointing them at me as if motioning me to grab them. Obliging, I watched as she left the room, holding the other ends of the wires.
"Heya," Echo's voice called out.
Oh hell no.
I was right about to drop what I was doing until he then asked, "What're you doing?"
Just then, I felt all of the electricity leave my body as Echo screamed out, "YYYEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!"
…Well. Thanks Lima.
Lima then walked back in as I dropped the rods, patting her head.
"Thanks partner."
"…No problem…," she replied, wagging her ears happily.
"Well then," Ozpin then stated, "Now that you all have calmed down, I must say that it was an honor to have all of you as one of Beacon's finest."
"Huh?"
Ozpin smiled, then said, "You see, I have excused all of you from the tournament."
"Huh?"
"I am honored to say that," Ozpin continued, "You all have graduated Beacon as one of the greatest teams in Beacon's history."
"I…wasn't hearing things, was I?"
I almost couldn't believe it.
Ruby smiled at me as the teams from Beacon held a small party.
"Congrats, Del," Ruby stated, "And you did it in record time!"
"Hehe," I chuckled, "Well, I'll be sure to attend your graduation as well, Rubes."
"I'll hold you to that," Ruby stated, smiling as she mashed her lips to mine.
"Okay, lovebirds," Sierra called out as Ruby pulled her lips away from mine.
Aww, I was enjoying that.
"Well then," Sierra said, grabbing onto a glass of juice, "I say we all have a toast."
"Agreed," Pyrrah stated, holding her cup up, followed by the rest of Team JNPR. Team RWBY was quick to follow. The professors as well, did the same as Sierra downed her cup, followed by all of us.
"Hah~! Alright then, SHLD!"
Here we go.
I grinned as Sierra screamed out into the air, "SIERRA!"
Hotel followed, "HOTEL!"
Lima came next, "LIMA!"
My grin widened as I yelled, "DELTA!"
"Here we are," Sierra announced, "We are Team SHLD of Beacon!"
Everyone cheered on as fireworks began to go off in town.
If I had it any other way, I wouldn't take anyone over any of you guys. No one.
Well then, I'll give you a quick hint. Look for SHLD next time y'all are on the story list. Anyway, how many of y'all wanna see kids soon? Lol, see y'all!
