Chapter 13: reunion with friends, old and new
It has been several weeks since both Danny and Yugi had learned the truth about the two spirits of vengeance that they now have become a part of. During the week they had to learn about the strange new powers they possessed since transforming into almost half of what Atem and Phantom used to be. There were a few close calls when it came to Danny and his family. He nearly phased through a table because he was really tired. Then there was the strange devices that his parents created, fingering Danny as a ghost or would hurt Danny when tested. This caused Phantom to laugh wildly back within the void. For Yugi things were much worse as there were times when he craved blood and nearly attacked his own grandfather. That's if Atem hadn't stepped in to stop him. Atem had a hard time teaching Yugi how to hunt and not to feed on the innocent. Yugi stuck to either animal blood and/or the blood of the two caretakers and Danny. It still made Yugi sick to his stomach with the thought of drinking blood.
*Abiou (partner) you have to learn because of the vampiric part of me is going to need blood. If we don't get enough blood within us, terrible things can happen.* Atem stated.
*Like what?* Yugi asked.
*There are chances of going into a blood lust and/or a blood thrall. And trust me when I say this Yugi, you don't want to experience those. You could not only attack people close to you who mean something to you without meaning to. Hence the reason the millennium puzzle keeps us in balance as well as each other.* Atem replied. Yugi shuttered at the thought of attacking his friends and family. Thank goodness Danny knew about his vampiric cravings and knew what to do if Yugi began having symptoms of needing blood. As Danny and Yugi meet up at the usual site for work, they both realized they haven't heard from Seto since his brothers death.
"Perhaps after work we can stop by his place. I am worried about him. I remember seeing the spirits of both Mokuba and Noah after their death hanging around Seto. Phantom was troubled when it came to Seto." Danny stated as the two began to clean up the site. They had learned from both spirits of vengeance that both Carter Slade and James Smith used to be the previous hosts for Atem and Phantom.
"What happened that night?" Yugi asked out loud getting no reply. The two spirits of vengeance were worried the same thing may happen again. As the two teens set off to complete their work as quickly as possible this way they could make it to Seto's place. Blood tears ran down Yugi's face.
"Yugi?" Danny asked in question seeing the tears.
"Why didn't one of us stayed with Mokuba and Noah that night? We knew that something terrible was going down. They were just young kids as they didn't deserve to die." Yugi cried. Danny went over to his friend pulling him into a comforting embrace.
"I know Yugi, I feel just as badly as you do about it. But we can't change the past. But what we can do is to find their killer and make them pay." Danny stated. Yugi just nodded his head weakly in agreement as a part of him wanted to rip into the person behind this.
*Careful hikari (light), you don't want to give into your darker thoughts.* Atem hissed in the back of Yugi's mind.
*same goes for you Danny.* Stated Phantom causing Danny and Yugi to take a claming breath.
*what would happen If we did give in to or darker thought?* Danny asked
*for us Danny we would become something that could level a city in no time at all, army's would faint just from the sight of us. at one point I had almost walked down that road if it hadn't been for my family I wouldn't be here right now neither would you for that matter.* Phantom's words sent chills up Danny spine.
*What about us Atem?* Yugi asked
*We would be far worse than Phantom if that ever happened. Beyond that I don't recall what I am capable when it that frame of mind.* Atem stated.
'It happened once before when I lost Shadi and nearly lost Mahad. I can't let it happen again.'Atem thought to himself. It wasn't something that any one in there right mind would want to think about let alone even hear about.

Danny and Yugi were driving their bikes up the mannor that Seto called home. When they got to the door knocking on it, Danny's hero complex kick it into high gear. But he keep a strait face when Randolph opened the door and let them in. The butler lead the two to Seto's personal study.
"Master Seto, Daniel Fenton and Yugi Moto are here to see you." he said opening the door to the study only to find Seto was not there and the office was completely trashed. "What in the world happened? I know that Master Seto was here expecting you as he knew that he needed to speak to you both about something important."
"Randolph... We will get to the bottom of this, trust us." Danny stated as he could see Yugi's eyes flash blood red.
*I smell blood.* he growled mentally. A cold light blue breath escaped from Danny's lips as he could see both Mokuba's and Noah's spirits as they were crying.
*I think that they just maybe able to help us out.* Phantom told Danny. Danny nodded his head in agreement. Randolph excused himself to call the police while Yugi and Danny where left in the study. Yugi's eyes took on a glassy look as he wondered about the study as if sensing something.
"Yugi?" questioned Danny as Yugi walked up to the bookcase as he pulled on a book to have a secret passage open up. Danny looked at both Mokuba and Noah. "Alright you two, tell me when did Seto set this up?" Danny asked the two spirits. Both ghosts looked surprised that Danny could see them.
"After our death." answered Noah weakly. Danny followed Yugi down into the secret passage as they came upon a room set up with very high tech weaponry.
"Seto was distraught over our death that he vowed to make the killers pay. Not only for our death but any who committed some sort of sin. He came up with the persona of the Punisher." Mokuba stated. What Mokuba said confirmed Danny's and Phantom's fear for Seto.
"Danny... Phantom..." Yugi and Atem spoke in unison as they pointed to a golden scale with the eye of Horus in the style "He is one of us. He is a Midnight Son. He owns the millennium scale." the two spoke in a haunting voice before their eyes rolled in the back of their heads. Danny moved quickly to catch Yugi before he fell over.
"God damn it!" Danny hissed out as he was forced to use a small knife that laid nearby to cut into his arm feeding his friend his blood. Yugi's eyes shot open turning blood red as he sank his fangs into Danny's wrist causing the teen to curse out violently. "Yugi... stop... Yugi!" Danny snapped out shouting out Yugi's name. As Danny shouted out Yugi's name a large blast erupted from Danny's throat throwing Yugi away from him as Phantom used his magic to heal the wound. 'What's wrong with him?' Danny thought to himself.
*Its because of the millennium scale. Whomever Seto judged last was pure evil as it left some residue traces. It must have affected both Yugi and Atem.* replied Phantom.
*Is there a way to snap them out of it and bring them back?* Danny asked. Phantom never got to answer Danny's question as Mahad materialized in front of Yugi in his dark magician form.
{Master Yugi... Lord Atem, you mustn't allow the scale to cloud your mind.} Mahad stated as he willed his magic to flow into his hands as he blasted Yugi. Danny turned his attention to both Mokuba and Noah as he allowed Mahad to handle Yugi and Atem.
"Ok you two tell me everything." Danny told both spirits.
Mokuba and Noah explained how Seto became the Punisher to make sure no one else goes through the same pain that he goes through. That's when the millennium scale came to him anonymously in the mail. According to the two Seto got another fax from Mr.X claiming that many more innocent lives will be lost if he doesn't stop making the new dual disk. He also claimed that one of his associates will be paying him a visit.
"An all white vampire came in and attacked Seto. That's when another vampire dressed in gothic clothing and had long white hair. He was wearing this strange pendant around his neck." Mokuba stated.
"Can you draw what the pendant looked like?" Danny asked. Mokuba nodded his head.
"There's no need to Danny. We can sense that it was the millennium ring as it belongs to a very old friend, Bakura." stated Atem who was in control over Yugi's body.
*The one who you feed your blood to before your death?* asked Phantom as Atem nodded his head yes. *Can you follow the scent of the blood that Yugi smelled earlier and where the other two millennium items are?* Phantom asked. Once again Atem nodded his head yes. Danny looked at both Mokuba and Noah.
"Don't worry we will make sure that Seto comes back home." Danny stated. Mokuba and Noah nodded their heads knowing that these two could actually do it. Danny and Yugi ran out to the bikes with Yugi carring the scale and tore out of the drive way. Atem was in the lead playing blood hound.
In an old ware house in the downtown arey we see Seto being thrown into a wall the resounding crack of his arm being broken was heard as he made contacke with said wall was heard. Seto Bit his tongue to keep from crying out. Pulling him self up from the wall and drew his glock that he always had on him with is good arm and sent half a clip towards the all white Fanged freak that was advancing on the ki-Bakura that had jumped in when the fruit-loop attacked him. the bullets hit there mark but the vampire didn't go down it did distract him long enough for Bakura to slash him with one of the many knives he had on him and get to Seto's side. With a broken arm and a nasty cut on his back didn't help much.
"Are you all right?" Bakura asked once he was at Seto's side.
"I'll live." Seto said Bakura just shock his head in amusement.
"Who are you?" Bakura asked the vampire who was just toying with them for the hell of it.
"my name is-!" The vampire didn't have a chanes to finesh because two motor cycles came crashing throught the front door fallowed by a voice that sounded like Armageddon.
"BLACKOUT!" once the dust selted Seto and Bakura could see two male figure's

T.V. announcer: And welcome back to the Riders tribute. And here are you host's Scrletfyre and Drangonstar101. *audience claps*
Scrletfyre: Welcome back everyone.
Dragonstar101: Today on the show we are going to talk to Bakura who is playing the part of Blade so please welcome him to the show *audience claps as Bakura enters*
Scrletfyre: Welcome to the show Bakura.
Bakura *smiling*: No thank you for bringing me back and allowing me to play this role again.
Dragonstar101: Actually you have me to thank for that. When I decided that I was going to do this story there were a few characters that I wanted to keep the parts I have seen them portray in Scrletfyre's stories "Dark Rider Atem" and "Fight for the Future."
Bakura *nodding his head*: That kind of makes sense.
? *shouting*: BEWARE! FOR I AM THE BOX GHOST!
Dragonstar101*hands over ears. shouting*: GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY. BLOW MY DAM EARDRUMS OUT WHY DON'T YOU! AND WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE YOU ARE NOT IN THIS STORY! *Box Ghost tries to fly off. Growls darkly* OH NO YOU DON'T GET BACK HERE! *run's after Box Ghost fully transformed in werewolf form*
Phantom*off stage moaning*: Not him again *joins in the chase*
Box Ghost *shouting*: FELL THE WRATH OF... *looks at label on box* THE PROPS FOR THE RIDERS TRIBUTE *throws box at Dragonstar101 and Phantom*
Phantom: Hit the deck! *dives to the floor dragging Dragonstar101*
Dragonstar101 *grunting*: Gahh!
*Crash! bang! Boom!*
Atem *walks out to see what was going on and sighs*: You again? *Fires a blast of hell fire only for Box Ghost to doge*
Bakrura *turns to Scrletfyre*: Dose this happen alot?
Scrletfyre: We have had our fair share of incidences on this show. *dark crimson aurora surrounds her body as her hair transforms into pure fire* Excuse me for a minute. *walks off over towards Dragonstar101, Atem, Phantom, and Box Ghost*
Danny and Yugi *cringing in fear*: Oh shit! She's pissed! *shouting* Go on break!
T.V. Announcer *cuts in as objects go flying and sharp curse words ring out*: Due to technical difficulties and violent tendencies, we are forced to cut the Riders Tribute short.
