It was Saturday, the day of the campout. Or rather, what was supposed to be the day of the camp out, if it hadn't been canceled! Thats right, after the gang had been attacked, Marcy had the school call the whole thing off (that and it began to rain heavily) so Antoinette and her crew were parked on the couch of McFist manor, their faces heavy with the grayness cast off of the windows by the rainy night time sky.
"This is so not the cheese..." Randy muttered as he bordely leaned back in the plush love seat, wincing a little as the fabric rubbed against the claw marks on his back.
"I know..." Theresa sighed, leaning forward on her hands, thunder drowning out her words.
All of the kids sighed in unison but jumped when a knock came at the door.
"I've got it!" Marcy sang as she waddled over in her gaudy gold heels, that oddly clashed with the white pearls and black dress she had chosen for that evening night out.
"Who is it mom?" Antoinette called as her brother entered the room wearing a very stiff looking suit and the group had to bite their lips to keep from laughing.
"See ya squirts." Bash said bluntly as turned and left the room.
"Where are they going again?" Randy asked, sitting up a little in sudden attention.
"Some stupid football party or whatever." Antoinette muttered bluntly as she hopped off of the couch to go see who was at the door.
"Oooh Bash! Anita! Uncle Terry is here." Marcy called as she stepped out of the way so a burly man with similar blonde hair and features of McFist could enter the house.
"Toni-girl! Sup? I haven't seen ya since- Um- I don't know." Terry said in his usual stoner voice as he patted her shoulder.
"Since your skype call last night." Marcy said, sounding a bit annoyed with her brother-in-law as she took him into the kitchen. "Emergency numbers are on the fridge and dinner is in the oven. All you need to do is take it out when the timer dings. If anything happens, don't hesitate to call. Also I might add that the fire extinguisher is in the hallway closet and all the kids have had their shots, and you know CPR right? and-"
"Marcy. Chill bra, I know how to take care of the kiddies." Terry tried to reassure her but that didn't seem to be working, as she had to practically be dragged out of the house now by McFist, who didn't even bother to give his brother the time of day.
Terry smiled and waved before shutting the door and walked into the living room. Upon entering, he studied each person and slapped his forehead.
"Woah. Thats a lotta kids man! Theres like six of you or something." He said with a dazed voice as he went to the couch and sat down. "You all look a little bored- So how about we play a game of majong!"
He suddenly pulled a metal box out of his pocket and instantly the group all stood.
"Actually Uncle Terry, me and the guys were gonna head upstairs and watch a movie." Antoinette said as she and her friends rushed upstairs with her uncle calling an 'Okay minis have fun'.
He promptly fell asleep on the couch, unaware of the plot the kids were forming upstairs.
"So we are going to sneak out of the house- To go watch a movie in theaters?" Julian asked, almost in disbelieve.
"No Julian. We are going to rob a bank- Of course we're just going to the movies!" Howard yelped in mock annoyance. "But thats because Somebody's mom had to lock up all of the good movies!"
"Leave Mrs. McFist out of this Howard, she makes good food after all." Randy said jokingly. "But that is why we're sneaking out, but we're also going to stop by the school for such and such."
"Isn't 'Such and such' code for pranks?" Debbie asked in annoyance. "Count me out then."
"Come on Kang! Live a little! Be a rebel!" Howard teased, causing the girl to blush annoyingly.
By now, the cuts on Randy's back were beginning to sting, and he knew he would need some cream or something to put on them before they left.
"Hang on thought guys. Gotta take a pee." Randy called as he slipped out of the room and into the bathroom.
Upon entering and closing the door, he opened his jacket and lifted his shirt. Shit. Those marks (Four in total) were at least a Cm deep and were as long as his elbow to his fingertips.
"Crap!" He muttered a tad to loudly as he tried to get a better look at them.
"Randy?" A soft voice asked as the door suddenly opened and a purple haired girl was suddenly in the room, looking at him in surprise. "Ohmygosh!"
He suddenly pulled his shirt down and blinked a few times. "Oh hey, Fowler, j-just, staring into the mirror."
She frowned and went to the cabinet and took down a bottle of cream. She lifted his shirt again and made quick work of covering them with the cream and applying a bandage.
"You can explain this later." She muttered dryly as she took his hand and lead him back to the room.
If he was keeping secrets from them, she wouldn't want to be the reason they got blown. Though she would never admit it, she kinda had a feeling something was odd when Randy ran off that night but she didn't have time to really think about it then or now, for they had to leave now if they wanted to have time to do the things they had planned.
Slowly, one by one, they crept down the steps, and after making sure Terry was still asleep, they all slid out of the front door and closed it.
The movie was GravePuncher 7 and using a technique Randy used to get him and Howard in before, they got in without paying and without having to confirm their age. They left a while after, the R-rated movie becoming to intense for them, and started off for the school.
The party for the football players was being held in the gym auditorium, so the kids could move freely about the west, east, and North wings of the school without being caught. They unloaded their toilet paper and began their night of pranks by tping the front of the school.
"Man this is awesome!" Randy yelped but stopped as he felt a sting in his back.
He rubbed it quickly and the pain when away. He then followed his friends into the school but fell when he felt another pain in his back.
"You OK Cunningham?" Howard called as he went over and helped his friend up.
"Yeah. I'm fine." Randy lied as he felt the marks pulsate. "Just, gonna be right back."
Rushing to the nearest bathroom and into the nearest stall and lifted his shirt just in time to see a faint glow.
"Crap..."
"Man, I wonder where Cunningham is." Howard muttered as he tossed another roll of toilet paper.
"Didn't he go to the bathroom." Debbie responded as she stepped back, not wanting to take any part in this.
"Well hes been there fo-" a loud screech suddenly cut off Howard mid-sentence.
Suddenly a section of metal lockers were ripped out of the wall as a creature of large bulk smashed its way through the halls. The group froze in horror, eyes glued to the glowing green creature. It was the same one that had attacked them the night before, only this time the creature had a shock of purple hair and sapphire eyes. A snarl erupted from the creature as the kids jumped out of the way just in time for it to jump at them.
"Run!" Debbie exclaimed out of habit as the group down the halls as they all tried to formulate a plan based off of the events of the night before.
"Well no duh Kang! Its not like running is the obvious choice or anything." Howard all but screamed gruffly before running into the boy's locker room door.
Theresa shoved him aside and tore the doors to the room open. The five teens rushed inside and went to the showers to hide, which was something they were taught during the Monster Drills during school.
"What do we do! What do we do! What do we do!?" Debbie panicked as she shook the nearest person (Julian) violently.
"Easy Debbie Kang." Howard said chilly. "We'll just hang out here until the Nin-"
He froze and his face paled in sudden realization. If that creature was Randy, then that creature was also the Ninja.
"Just wait for the monster to go away on its own." He finished up sheepishly, trying desperately to think of what he could do.
Heck, he had been the Ninja for a few days, so he should get to fill in for the ninja while he was out right? Now if only he could remember what Randy normally did in situations like these.
"Or we could take this monster down ourselves!" Theresa said suddenly, her hands in a knot from being rung so tightly.
"And how do you suspect that we do that?" Julian asked doubtfully, folding his arms over his chest, but quickly unfolding them and clinging to the nearest person (Antoinette) as the monster's growl could be heard near the door. "We are really open to suggestions."
" I remember the Ninja said once, that you have to destroy something really close to the creature in order to make it go away." She said quickly, "And since this monster is a friend, we should know what that really close thing is right?"
The gang all nodded quickly in agreement and Theresa took this as her Que to continue. She turned to Howard quickly.
"Howard! You're his best friend, can you think of anything?" She asked hopefully as all eyes were now on Howard.
He thought long and hard about it. There was his limited addition Grave Puncher poster, but that was all the way back at home. Well, there was also his Chibi Cute: Star Tracer Manga book- Nah, he wasn't that attached to it. Wait! His ninja suit which he took so much pride in! Which was also always in his back pocket!
"I know what we can destroy." Howard said boldly, just as the metal doors to the room were heard being torn off. "But we'll have to distract it some how so I can grab it. So Debby, Toni, you two go grab some tennis rackets, and Julian and Fowler, go get some basket balls!"
"What for?" They all asked in unison but a sudden roar sent them all running for the objects, which lucky weren't to far away and regrouped.
"Cover for me!" Howard yelled just as the monster turned down there way and charged at them.
One basket ball was throw and it hit the monster dead-on, temporarily disorientating it but it recovered quickly and had Howard in it's sight, until another ball and two heavy metal rackets were hitting it. During this time, Howard slid under it and found the red and black material dangling from the remains of a jean pocket. He tore it out, splitting the 800 year old mask with a sickening sound. Just like the night before, the surrounding air was filled with a green haze that was soon sucked up by the air vent.
"Ow, my back." Randy muttered in pain as he found himself laying on his bigger friend's back and quickly scrambled off.
"Randy! Thank goodness you're OK!" Theresa called as she tackled her friend in a loving hug.
"Nice plan Howard, but what did you destroy anyway?" Debbie asked, stepping forward.
"Um... Well-"
Previously on Enter The Ninjas:
"Antoinette McFist and co!" An angry man's voice, belonging to Hannibal McFist suddenly shouted.
"Oooh. You're in trouble now." Bash's voice followed tauntingly as the two stepped in through the remains of the broken door.
The school's principle was also present, his face was tinted pink with underlying rage.
"Debbie Kang, Theresa Folwer, Howard Weinermen, Randy Cunningham, Julian Jones, AND Antoinette McFist! All six of you report to my office this INSTANCE!"
Six kids of differing appearances, three girls and three boys, sat in the hard grey chairs of the principal's office with their heads hung low. Originally only Theresa and Antoinette's parents had been at the school, but now the remainder of the gang's parents had arrived as well. All twelve parents had their arms crossed and their lips pressed into a thin line.
"Breaking and entering, destruction of school property, monster hunting-" The principal read off the offenses as if he were a judge sending criminals to death row. "You know kids I should have good enough a mind to expel you all."
The kids winced as he slammed the hard covered school handbook down onto the desk and drummed his fingers over it. He used his free hand to adjust his glasses from the bridge of his nose and then rubbed it. After letting out a soft sigh, he turned to the kids once more.
"But lucky for you, I won't." He said sternly, rage still caught in his mouth as he spoke. "Well, lucky for some of you."
This perked their interest as they cast tense glances at one another for any indication on what he might have met.
"Antoinette, Theresa, Julian, and Debbie. Since I've never had much of a problem with you four in the past, I'm letting you off with a Sunday's detention and an afterschool on Monday, where you'll help repair some of the damage."
He paused and turned to face Randy and Howard. His gaze became intense as he drummed his fingers a little faster and a long 'Hmmm' was heard at the back of his throat.
"As for you two. Since this would be the fifty seventh time I've given you a detention in the past month, I have decided to expel you two for the next week." This caused the two teens to visibly pale as both their mother's took them by an ear.
"Fifty seven detentions?" Randy's mother snapped. "Why wasn't I made aware of this?"
"B-because you're very scary when you're angry." Howard piped up stupidly as his mother turned on her heels and began to drag him out of the room.
"Howard! You're grounded to your room until you return to school and that's another thin-" Her voice soon died away as she made her way down the hall, followed by her husband.
Randy's parents soon did the same with their son and soon Debbie Kang's parents also collected their child and things and left the school, leaving the Smiths, McFists, and Fowlers in a dead silence.
"What on Earth were you thinking?" Marcy began stiffly, but sounded more worried than angry.
The three kids hung their heads in shame, casting each other soft gazes before looking back up at the blonde, finding that her once angered daze was beginning to soften into that of a concerned mother. They lowered their heads yet again and didn't answer.
"Isn't it obvious Marci?" Hannibal suddenly cut in.
"No." Marci said, sounding confused as she waited for her husband to explain.
"You heard what the principal said. Hes never had a problem with any of these kids, except those two hooligans." The blonde man turned to the three who remained, winked, and continued. "I've seen this plenty of times during my years of High School. These four just wanted to have some fun with friends, but when those two took it two far, they only wanted to stop them before they all got in trouble."
With that being said, they all turned to face the three tense children and Julian's mother stepped forward.
"Is that true? Were you four trying to prevent this incident?" She asked stiffly, folding her arms.
They all nodded their heads quickly, and the others, not trusting their voices, let Theresa confirm this.
"Y-yes ma'am! But then that monster attacked us!" She spoke in a voice that sounded anything but calm.
"A monster?" The principal asked as he returned to his desk and sat down and leafed through the school's handbook. "Well if it was a monster, and if you were only trying to keep your friends out of trouble, then I see no reason to punish any of you."
Breaths of relief were suddenly released and Antoinette sunk back in her seat, her head now spinning from lack of air.
"As for Cunningham and Weinerman, I guess I could lower their punishment to three days and a detention." He turned to his phone and information cards and began to look up the names so he could give their parents a call.
"Just in time for the school dance." Theresa's mother chirped sweetly "So you can go with Randy, Theresa."
The purple haired girl flung up from her chair, her face beat red as she raced out of the principals office, the sentence 'you're so embarrassing mom! Hes just a friend!' floating in the air, her parents then left after her, laughing softly as they did so.
Finally the other two families decided to take their leave, but they both stopped at opposite ends of the hallway. Marci then turned to her daughter.
"While I don't believe the whole story, I am glad you only got a warning." She said, folding her arms, about to make a statement. "However, just because you aren't being punished by the school, you aren't getting off of this scot free."
Antoinette froze with her hand on the door and grimly listened as her mother went on.
"Mrs. Jones and I have discussed this. And since her son has no one to go to the dance with, that will be your punishment." As if on que, the eyes of two shocked teenagers shot across the hall and met with one another.
"I can't go with Twit!" Julian's voice rang out.
"Mom! In our downtime we hate each other!" Antoinette agreed with the boy across the hallway, secretly wishing her mom would let her go with someone else.
"Its only for one night, and who knows. Maybe this dance will fix things between you two." That was the end of that argument, and when the family got home and had to explain to a panicked Terry what had happened, Antoinette knew there was no way she was getting out of this one.
