chapter 20: the wolf, ghost, and demon meet.

Solomon Moto for the past week had noticed that Yugi wasn't acting like his usual self. And it was worrying him greatly. So, when Danny called and invited them to come with the Fenton family on a camping trip in Quebec Canada. He agreed to come. It could help him understand what has happened to Yugi and why he was acting the way he was. Solomon had noticed that Yugi didn't eat as much as he used too. When it came to meat, he would ask for it medium rare. When Yugi became angry or mad his eyes would dangerously flash red. Solomon wanted for his grandson to trust him with whatever was bothering him. He had lost Yugi's parents when Yugi was five years old as Yugi was the only family that he had left. Yugi on the other hand was happy to be getting away from the city for a while but he was concerned that he would attack the others and wasn't exactly thrilled about this. Also lately he has been having terrible dreams when it came to Atem's past more especially an item known as the millennium necklace and its owner who he couldn't make out. Yugi would often wake up screaming, covered in sweat with his fangs at their full length.

*Don't worry too much Abiou (partner). You have been handling yourself quite well when it comes to your blood cravings. Plus you have Danny there as he will be able to snap you back if you do loose control.* Atem stated in the back of his mind.

*I know but I still worry. I am still trying to piece together the dreams that I have been having about your past. I really wish I could talk to my grandfather about this. I hate not being able to tell him.* replied Yugi.

*I am sorry Abiou. I wish it was possible but I urge you to talk to Mahad maybe he may know an answer to your predicament.* stated Atem.

*Then I will go speak with him before the trip. Something about these dreams trouble me. I don't know why.* replied Yugi as he cut contact with Atem. Yugi packed his belongings for the camping trip. "Grandpa I am heading out a bit. I will be back shortly." Yugi yelled out as he left the house heading for the graveyard where Mahad and Clockwork camped out. Yugi of course wasn't the only one who was troubled by his dreams. Danny was having them too. It involved his mysterious friend that he had met when he was five years old. But in his dreams it showed Mr. Wolf as Danny called him still looking the same way he did when they first meet. This troubled Danny to the point where Phantom suggested that he go and speak to Clockwork. The ghost of time maybe able to piece together what the dreams meant and why Danny was having them.

Both Danny and Yugi arrived at the graveyard at the same time a bit surprised to see the other one there.

"What are you doing here?" they asked each other simultaneously. Mahad had come out of the crypt when the two riders arrived.

"Danny... Yugi... Please come in. Clockwork is waiting." Mahad stated. Both teens looked at the former Dark Magician finding it eerie that the ghost of time was waiting for them. As if he knew that they were coming. Both teens said very little as they followed Mahad into the crypt.

"Danny... Yugi good to see you. To answer your question, yes I know why you're having reacquiring dreams." Clockwork stated as he was in his ghost form. This revelation surprised the two.

"Why are we having them then?" Yugi asked.

"And why is it that ..." Danny trailed off he wasn't sure how to word his question, "Why does Wolf look like he hadn't aged since I last saw him?" Yugi raised an eyebrow wondering who this Wolf character was. Clockwork smiled and opened a time window and Mahad took over explaining.

"You see Yugi and Danny, when Atem was alive he had given each of his priests one of the seven millennium items. The one your seeing is the millennium necklace. Isis once held this item. During the last battle a dark shadow had possessed her. I hadn't know at the time but, Isis had a son he was only ten years old. The only way for the possession to be undone at the time was for the one who was possessed to be killed. The one who had to kill her was her son." Mahad stopped as the time window showed a ten year old boy being forced to fight his mother but what caught everyone's attention was the fact that shooting out from in between his knuckles were three bone claws.

"What in the name of God!?" Yugi asked. Danny was speechless even though this was a ten year old kid a part of him couldn't help but see the similarity between him and Wolf. Clockwork took over from there.

"After having to kill his mother,the child fled with the necklace and is only seen during certain points in history."

"Wait your tell us that this kid is more then likely still alive?" Danny asked as Clockwork nodded his head.

"And you've already meet him Danny." Clockwork stated showing the two teens what had happened when Danny was five. Danny's legs gave out from under him as Yugi quickly caught him. This was a lot to take in and it was also confusing him greatly.

"But why are we having these dreams now?" Yugi asked again holding Danny up so he didn't face plant on the concrete floor.

"There is a chance he is subconsciously calling out to you." Mahad replied.

"Okay then, where are we gonna find him?" Danny asked finely getting back to reality as he pushed himself off of Yugi.

"You already know the answer to that. The two of you better get back so you can finish packing for the trip to Canada." Clockwork stated as the two teens nodded and headed back for their homes.

Meanwhile Duke had arrived at Quebec Canada. He allowed himself to head to the summer cabin belonging to the Fenton family hoping that they were there. He feared that the family may not accept him because he hasn't aged a single day as he still looked the same. It was because of his mutant ability that allowed him to heal instantaneously. As a result he would age rather slowly as he has been alive for a very long time. Not even Duke knew how old he was. Mixed memories still pounded his brain as he could remember bit and pieces of his past. When he got to the cabin he could see a grounds keeper cleaning up the cabin.

"Excuse me sir..." stated Duke causing the grounds keeper to turn to him. "Do you know of the family that stays here?" asked Duke.

"Oh you might be referring to the Fenton family. They are due up here shortly." replied the grounds keeper. This brought a smile to Duke's face.

"If I leave a small letter could you make sure that a kid named Danny gets it?" asked Duke. He didn't know why but he felt as if he had a closer connection to Danny. Plus he felt as if the young teen would be more understanding and in some way could relate to what Duke was going through.

"Certainly. There is a paper and pen inside." replied the grounds keeper as he allowed Duke inside the cabin to write his note. Duke pulled out the paper and pen as he sat down quickly writing the note.

-Danny, I don't know if you remember me but you called me Mr. Wolf. I would like to meet you again as I feel that I need a friend who could understand my situation and not see me as a freak. I will be staying at the Comfort Inn within town. I owe you and your family a debt of gratitude for helping me out when I needed it. By the way the name that I go by is Duke Devlin. I can't recall my true name as I do have some people who are helping me out as they are a bit like me. I hope to see you soon. Your friend, Mr. Wolf. Duke Devlin.- After Duke wrote his letter including his room number, he folded it writing Danny's name on it. He then left the cabin handing the note to the grounds keeper as he went back to the hotel. It felt like his brain was on fire as the visions seemed to be increasing. He needed to figure out what these visions where trying to tell him and why now of all time it seemed that the millennium necklace was acting up. Duke entered the room he was staying in as he collapsed onto the bed. The millennium necklace was glowing around Duke's neck as visions began to play around in the back of his mind.

=Flashbacks Begin=

Duke saw himself as a young child as he was with his mother Isis. He was brought in to visit the pharaoh. Isis was still wearing the millennium necklace around her neck.

"Mama I am scared. What if he sees me as a freak?" Duke asked. Isis stopped walking as she knelt down by her sons side.

"Son he won't see you as a freak. I think in some ways that the pharaoh can understand. Trust me. You will be a huge ally to him in the future. I have seen it." Isis stated. Duke clutched his fist causing sharp objects to be shown in between his knuckles. "Son... relax as everything will be all right." Isis stated as she gently touched his hand. Duke took a long deep breath as he let it out as it seemed that the objects retracted. Isis took Duke by the hand leading him to a chamber where the pharaoh sat talking with a guard who had white hair. The white hair guard looked familiar to him as if he knew him from somewhere else. "My pharaoh... I have brought my son Dameri with me." Duke was shocked to hear his actual name. The pharaoh looked young in age as he looked at Duke through deep crimson eyes. The pharaoh's eyes seemed to captivte Duke as he felt drawn in. The pharaoh got up off of his thrown as he approached Duke kneeling down at the childs height.

"It seems that you were right to bring him to see me Isis. I can sense incredible powers laying within him. Most may fear this power but I do not. Both Phantom and I know what it is like to be viewed as different and to have a very strong power. Could you leave him with us for a while so we can talk in private?" asked the pharaoh.

"Certainly Lord Atem. Dameri I shall return but I know that you are in good hands." Isis stated as she hugged her son. Duke nodded his head as he watched his mother leave the room. Duke looked at Atem as the pharaoh rose to his feet.

"Dameri nothing I am about to tell you and show you must never be repeated and told to another person. I have a feeling that if I show you this you may understand why I am sharing this secret." Atem stated as he looked at Phantom who just nodded his head. Atem took off the millennium puzzle and handed it to Phantom once it left his hand. The pharaoh had started to change and now stood in front of Duke. The pharaoh was something else, unlike anything he he had seen. Others who would have been scared but Duke was relived that there was someone else that was like him. Duke smiled as the visions faded.

=Flashbacks Ends=

Duke awoke with a start as his memories where trying to sort them selves out. But he was still no closer to the truth when it came to his past.

'Who was that?' he asked himself running his hand through his black locks.

Meanwhile Danny, Yugi, and the rest of the family were just arriving at the cabin the grounds keeper greeted the family like he did every year.

"Danny. need to talk to a moment." The grounds keeper said. Danny nodded and waited for the ground's keeper to speak. "A young man came by the cabin earlier and wanted me to give you this." he said handing Danny Duke's letter before heading back home himself. Danny looked through the letter and his eyes widened as the letter fell from his hand.

"Mom! Dad! He was here!" Danny shouted running inside after picking up the letter to show his parents.

"Danny calm down son." Jack Fenton stated catching his son by the shoulders.

"He was here earlier and he left a letter." Danny replied grinning like a fool.

"Danny,what in the world are you talking about?" Yugi asked trying to understand what his friend was rambling on about. Danny handed his father the letter. Jack read it and started to smile handing the letter to Maddie whom also smiled after she had read it.

"Danny why don't you and Yugi head over and pick him up. Could you get some chocolate? Someone ate our entire supply on the way up here." Maddie stated glaring at Jack.

"Mind if I come along? It's been a while since we last saw him. I have a lot of unanswered questions that I hope he can answer." Jazz stated. Danny and Yugi looked at each other before shrugging and nodded for her to follow. Outside Danny and Yugi were unloading their bikes from the trailer hitch as they had brought with them. "I still would like to know where in the world you two got the bikes from." Jazz stated. Both Danny and Yugi looked at each other as they had to come up with a quick lie in order to discourage Jazz from asking any more questions.

"Seto." both Danny and Yugi replied in unison.

"Well that does explain it. Considering you both take the bus in to work everyday. It makes sense that Seto would shell out the money to by you guys bikes." stated Jazz. Both Yugi and Danny mentally sighed in relief as they boarded their bikes. Jazz sat on the back behind Danny holding onto dear life as the two teens zipped through heading to the place where to meet Danny's friend.

T.V. Announcer: And welcome back to the Riders tribute. And here are you host's Scrletfyre and Drangonstar101. *audience claps*

Dragonstar101: Welcome back everyone.

Scrletfyre: Today on the show we are going to speak with Danny's older sister Jasmine Fenton. So please welcome Jazz to the show. *audience claps as Jazz enters*

Jazz: It is about damn time that you had me appear on the show and in this series.

Sclretfyre: Sorry we were looking for the right time to have you in. It was Dragonstar101 who had you come in on this chapter.

Dragonstar101: She is right Jazz. Sorry that it took so long for us to get you in. You know how these things work out.

Jazz: So what you are saying that I was not as important as the other characters that you had featured. The only reason to why you had me on or even in is was it necessary.

Dragonstar101 *pounting*: Hey!

Scrletfyre *growling*: Jazz play nice or we could easily write you out of the story. *audience gasps as Danny storms on to the stage with Phantom*

Danny and Phantom *growling*: Watch it Scrlet. You can't talk to her in that way.

Scrletfyre *begins to blaze in fire*: Have you forgotten who you are talking to and what I am capable of?

Dragonstar101 *gets in between of everyone*: Break it up. We don't need to destroy the set again!
