A/N: Okay so I am kind of looking for a Beta. I have a lot more written now, but I keep sitting on it because I know I'm not the best editor! Also, this really isn't a chapter, just kind of doesn't go with the last chapter or the next one so it's getting stuck between the two hence the 11 ¾, not to be confused with 9 ¾.

"What's going on with you and Ken?" Taichi asked Daisuke a few days later. He had yet to peg them down after living with them for this long. He wanted to know. He didn't care if Koushiro scolded him.
Daisuke looked up from where he was staring out the window. So far the landscape had not changed and Taichi could see that Daisuke was bored. Actually everyone was bored, even Koushiro, Ken and Wallace were running out of things to do. Wallace had joked earlier that he was impressed that Daisuke hadn't flipped out because of the boredom. Taichi had given him more credit than that. Daisuke wasn't a teenage anymore. Although, he seemed to have an exciting life, Taichi knew there were periods of boredom. The long days filled with little progress however, was making everyone a little cranky and so he wasn't surprised when Daisuke had snarked back at Wallace after the comment. Hopefully, they would find something fast, but in the meantime Taichi thought he might at least find out what was going on with Daisuke and Ken.
Daisuke's gaze went from boredom to uncertain. Taichi hoped he wasn't pushing Daisuke too much. "Honestly, I don't know Tai."
"How do you not know? Are you friends? Lovers? Brothers?" Taichi looked at Daisuke pointedly. "I know you like guys, at least, somewhat."
"I don't know if I'd say I liked guys." Daisuke blushed hotly. He didn't sound angry or bitter, so he wasn't taking offense to what Taichi had said, but he didn't sound firm either. Did he really not know?
"Daisuke, I'm not your soccer team. I really don't care what you say." Taichi knew that Daisuke once looked up to him like a role model. As such, Daisuke had tried to impress him, sometimes being a little too over the top and aggressive about it. He also knew that for a guy as loud and social as Daisuke he had his share of insecurities. So he wanted to ensure to Daisuke that he didn't need to worry about this. They were going to be friends either way.
Daisuke sighed. "It's not like that Tai. This isn't easy for everyone like it's easy for you."
"Why do you think this is easy for me?" Taichi asked.
"Well you and Izzy have been dating forever!" Daisuke exclaimed. He pressed his hands over his eyes. "It's not easy for everyone."
"I don't understand. What's hard about it? Do you like Ken?" Taichi frowned. He was confused about Daisuke's outbursts. He was being loud even Koushiro was giving them looks. It didn't appear like Koushiro knew what they were talking about, but Daisuke's voice was enough to alert him that something was going on. Taichi wanted to keep the conversation private, especially now that Daisuke was acting like this.
"I haven't let my self think about it. The question has been there for a while, but I just ignore it," Daisuke explained. It was muffled because of his hands. Oh.
"I understand if things were stopping you before, but now I don't think they are. You should think about it now," Taichi suggested.
Daisuke looked up from his hands at Taichi. "That's it?"
"Yea. Daisuke you're an honest guy. I can't imagine you living with something like that in the back of your mind. I don't like that sort of thing either. I mean what are you afraid of?" Taichi glanced at him.
Daisuke returned his look with a seriousiness that Daisuke didn't often possess. "I can't lose him."
"That's why you're here isn't it?" Taichi asked. Daisuke nodded slowly. "Well, there's no way to lose him out here."
Daisuke laughed slightly, but he turned silent quickly. He turned back to the window, but his gaze was inside to his thoughts. "Good luck, Dai-kun."
