Chapter 25: the rescue
+With the Fenton's and Moto+
Jack was pacing in the cell as Maddie watched, Solomon sat with his arm crossed and his eye's closed each were thinking about their kids and what has happened to them.
"Why didn't Danny tell us what happened?" Jack asked breaking the heavy silence that surrounded them.
"It may have been out of fear." Solomon replied not opening his eyes.
"Fear? Why would our own son be scared to... never mind." Maddie stated as the realization hit her like a freight train. Jack caught on to Maddie's thought proses and frowned his own son was afraid to tell them that he became the host to a spirit of vengeance because of their preaching about how all ghosts are evil. He knew then that they had to change their way of thinking. Perhaps not all ghosts were as evil as they thought.
"Then again there could be the chance that they couldn't tell us. It does leave a lot of unanswered questions." stated Solomon.
"What do you mean?" asked Maddie.
"After seeing them become the spirits of vengeance how little their appearance changed. I think I may know who the spirits are that are within them. Do you two believe in rebirth?" Solomon asked.
"Rebirth?" Jack questioned as he sat down on the ground. Solomon raised his head looking at the two Fenton's.
"Rebirth is when someone dies and their souls and essence are remain into a new form. I have noticed images in Egypt in a tomb that show of two beings the same age as both Danny and Yugi. Our kids' appearance is amazingly similar. They could have been passed off as twins. Although it never said in the tombs how these two died but, I believe that their spirits became the spirits of vengeance and that both Yugi and Danny became a part of them." stated Solomon.
"How much do you know about the spirits of vengeance?" asked Maddie as she joined the two men on the ground.
"Very little. I know that their physical bodies used to exist at one point of time before their deaths. Seeing first hand their strong sense of justice they make a bargain or asked by the angel of vengeance to become the spirits of vengeance. The Ghost Riders."
"And you believe that these two that are within Danny and Yugi are the same ones you have seen in ancient drawings." stated Jack causing Solomon to nod his head.
"Although their true names and how they died have been erased, lost as no one knows who they are. The nameless Pharaoh and this guardian angel is what scholars call them. That is mind you if I am right about the two housed within Yugi and Danny. I know that these two spirits of vengeance will not rest until they have saved us." stated Solomon.
+With Deathwatch and Skulker+
Skulker was as giddy as a kid in a candy store as he put the last finishing touches on the item that would separate the spirits of vengeance from their human hosts. He couldn't wait to begin working on the two turning them both over to the side of evil. He also had his pet project Wolverine coming. He was going to make sure to complete the work he had started on with the mutant.
"Skulker how much longer?" asked Deathwatch as he had given the man the components to create his mutated bio-bomb. Deathwatch couldn't wait to use it and feed off of the untold deaths that this bomb would create.
"Patience was never your strong suit. But your bomb is ready." replied Skulker pointing over to a nearby table as he continued on with his work. Deathwatch walked over to the table finding an object the size rubix cube sitting on the table. A button sat on one of the sides waiting to be pushed. "As specified, an object that is easy to handle and operate. Although I wouldn't want to be anywhere nearby when that thing goes off."
"Excellent. Once we have your mutant and the two spirits of vengeance, we can proceed to go to stage two. The master will be very pleased with us handing him three unstoppable weapons." stated Deathwatch.
"I know this is exciting! I can't wait to begin to work on them." added Skulker as a large grin stretched across his face."
+With the Midnight Sons+
The plan was set as Atem helped Yugi set up a link with the millennium puzzle this way he could look more human and hide his new found wings even though some of the other changes couldn't be hidden. The group knew that this was a trap as the Death Ninja's knew that there was four members who would come to rescue the humans. Danny asked Clockwork to watch Jazz as he didn't want something to happen to his sister.
"I will take her to the Ghost Zone. She will be safe there." stated Clockwork.
"Thank you Clockwork." replied Danny.
"Please be safe baby brother and make sure that you get them back safely." stated Jazz hugging Danny.
"I promise Jazz." Danny stated as he watched Clockwork open up a rift to the Ghost Zone. The two caretakers along with Jazz leaving the six members of the Midnight Sons. Danny had suggested that they contact the other two members for help this way they had full back up encase the unthinkable happened. Phantom and Atem used their powers to call out to Tucker and Seto. Luckily for them Tucker was flying just over head and Seto had just finished judging another tenant soul and was on his way viva a portal provided by Atem. Once there, they were filled in on the plan. The group then began to make their way to the old lab.
+With Deathwatch's Seer+
The seer that Deathwatch had with him at the time suddenly began to see the Midnight Son's make their way to the lab.
"Deathwatch it's the Riders, they have come and they have also brought help." the seer stated. Deathwatch looked over to the seer and even though it wasn't seen, he smiled. He began to order his men to intersect the group unaware that the seer was only seeing what Atem wanted them to see.
+With the Midnight Son's+
Before entering the seer's range Atem had summoned the Gemini elves and used the Magic card multiply. As the name implies make multiples of the Gemini elves as Atem had them take on an image of each of the Midnight Son's. With that done, the copies made the way to the obvious entrance while the originals made their way to another entrance that Shriker knew of. This entrance was a secret one that he had found thanks in part of because of the millennium eye. With all the mystic items together both Atem and Phantom could sense the other two remaining Midnight Sons and the items they had. But their true identities as well as their alter egos remained a secret. But they could sense that the remaining Midnight Sons were both in the same area.
*Abiou..., how are you holding up?* Atem asked his host mentally. He was worried about his host especially with all he has been through.
*Worried. My grandfather is all the family I have left. If I lose him….. I also don't want to keep this secret from him. But I am worried about how he may view me and how his heart is going to react.* Yugi replied.
*It will be alright Yugi. I am certain that your grandfather is still going to accept you no matter what. I am a bit worried about my parents too. I know how they tend to view ghosts and stuff.* Danny stated. Phantom and Atem looked at one another as they knew that because this secret was out it has changed Yugi's and Danny's lives as there was no turning back.
*We have to let the caretakers inform them. All of them. The truth about so many things. About everything we have been hiding.* Phantom stated through direct telepathy to Atem. The ancient pharaoh nodded his head agreeing.
*We will after this is all over.* Atem replied in turn. Shriker with the help of Duke was able to open the path way which looked like a covered well.
"Okay it's about a 50ft drop but we'll be inside." Shriker stated. Atem and Phantom jumped first, followed by Dr. Strange, Blade, Punisher, Wolverine, Shriker, and lastly Iron Man. Once the Midnight Sons landed they found themselves in a dark corridor Iron Man's suit and the rider's hair where the only source of light. Thanks in part to the Millennium Ring the group started there way into the compound.
+With the Midnight Son's copies+
Thanks to the Gemini Elves nearly half of Deathwatch's men were trying to stop them and take "Atem" and "Phantom" and not doing so well in either task. "Blade" and "Punisher" were back to back. "Blade" using his many knives to keep the ninja's a far distance away from them while "Punisher" was firing his Glock taking out a lot of the ninja's out. "Shriker" and "Wolverine" where sending the ninja's flying this way and that. "Shriker" was evenly matched when it came to hand-to-hand but still manged to throw a few away from him while "Wolverine" was using his claws to tare the ninja's to shreds or he simply knocked them out. "Dr. Strange" and "Iron Man" where complimenting each other when it came to magic and tech working together. "Iron Man" would charge an attack and "Dr. Strange" would amplify it. You did not want to be on the receiving end of the attack because you weren't getting back up. "Atem" and "Phantom" were using their hellfire infused chains like whips burning the ninjas that came near them and even now and then throwing them into their fellow ninjas.
+With the Midnight son's+
Even thought more the half of Deathwatch's ninja's were outside fighting the copies there were still a far few with in the compound. The group had just encountered the first of many waves. If the outside ninjas didn't stand a chance against the copies then they didn't have a chance against the real ones. Atem, Phantom, Dr. Strange, Blade, Wolverine, and Shriker took care of any ninja's that came at them. They didn't want to alert Deathwatch and Skulker that the ones topside weren't the real deal. The group rushed through the bowels of the hideout until they came upon a cell that held both Fenton adults and Mr. Moto.

The three adults heard the alarms sound as they witnessed the ninja's running to stop the intruders.
"You don't think..." Jack began.
"Its them. I know it is." Maddie answered. The two Fenton's prayed for their son to be safe. Suddenly they could see several of the guards that were guarding their area go down like a stack of potatoes. They watched as a group of heroes descended on their cell. Even though the group was wearing their costumes, the two Fenton's and Mr. Moto clearly recognized Duke and Seto.
"Stand back!" stated Duke. The three adults did as instructed as he allowed his adamantium claws to rip through the locks opening the cell.
"Hurry we don't have a lot of time." Seto stated as the group helped the three adults out of the cell. The three adults wanted to grab Atem and Phantom to hug them and to tell their children that they understood why they kept this secret from them. Dr. Strange along with Atem used their magic to open a rift to the Ghost Zone. Jazz stood on the other side along with Clockwork.
"Please go. We will meet you there once we have taken care if things here. Don't worry our caretakers will explain everything." stated Phantom. The three adults nodded their heads understanding. Jack went first followed by Solomon and finally Maddie but not before she kissed Phantom on the cheek.
"Please be careful sweetly." she stated before entering the rift. Once the rift closed the Midnight Sons began to chuckle as Phantom's face turned beet red.
"Alright let's end this!" he stated as everyone out their game faces on.
T.V. Announcer: And welcome back to the Riders tribute. And here are you host's Scrletfyre and Drangonstar101. *audience claps*
Dragonstar101: welcome back everyone.
Scrletfyre: Today on the show we have the Jack and Maddie Fenton along with Solomon Moto. So please welcome the three of them to the show. *audience claps as the three enter*
Dragonstar101: Welcome to the show you three.
Jack: Thanks for having us.
Maddie: Can you two tell me why my little boy is keeping sercrets from us?
Solomon: Maddie, they have their reasons and this isn't the first time that something like this has happened to Yugi if my memory serves.
Scrletfyre: That is correct Mr. Moto. As you recall the same thing happened in my story "Dark Rider Atem" to both you and Yugi.
Solomon *snaps his fingers*: Ah yes, I remember now. Yugi had a Ghost Rider in him for that story as well.
Scrletfyre: Yes. We used some of the same plot lines for this story from my two Yugioh/Ghost Rider crossover stories but changed things around so it wasn't the same story even though there are some similarities.
Dragonstar101: That's beside the point. *Turns towards Mr. and Mrs. Fenton* How are you guys enjoying your parts so far?
Jack *shaking his head*: I am still kind of in disbelief that we were taken hostage by ninjas wearing pajamas of all things *audience laughs*
Maddie *stares daggers at the authors*: And if you two harm one hair on my babies head...
Scrletfyre: We know, you will have our heads.
Solomon: I just wonder who is the puppet master behind the scenes pulling the strings?
Dragonstar101: All will be revealed in due time.
