By September 29th the entertainment shows had become even more extreme. Games of Russian roulette where people died. Child pornography was becoming more common. Eve sometimes saw the faces of children, as young as ten, with looks of shame on their faces. Their parents had likely rented them out to these movies for food. From what Eve heard the most popular of these were called "Cherry-popper films." They involved young children losing their virginity on camera. Singers sang of having committed crimes. Before this had been fantasy, these days it was reality, the singers reputation depended on it. All for fame. Still, most people were shocked by what happenned on this night. A singer, known publicly known as "Jezebel' was performing. Jezebel had the symbol "666" branded on her forehead, had encouraged her followers to get tattoos of this symbol. She had been considered extreme even before 2/4, but in the last two years had become even more hardcore. On September 29th Jezebel told her followers to come up on stage, and get the tattoo again, pledging their lives, bodies, and souls to Satan. When most were hesitant, she pulled out a gun. Some tried to leave, the guards shot them. There was general panic, some rushed on stage to recieve the mark of the beast. After some accepted Jezebel fired her gun, killing some who had taken the mark, and some who'd refused. With only one bullet left the singer detonated explosives. Her last words were "Fools! You think the master cares if you have his mark. We're all going to join him in hellfire." Then Jezebel turned her gun on herself. Some watching this hoped it was all an act, but in the coming days it was learned it had been real. Jezebel did this horrible act to achieve fame , a form of immortality, before the end. It seemed that the entertainment industry had somehow reached yet another low point.
