Chapter 31: magic of the heart
Atem existed the Shadow Realm finding his hellcycle waiting for him. He could see a trail of white hellfire leading off into the city. Atem boarded his bike wanting to save as much power as he could to face against those who had managed to corrupt the Dark Magician and the Hulk.
'There will be hell to pay for those whom have corrupted my caretaker. I will not stand by and watch an innocent soul be dragged into the darkness.' Atem thought to himself. He revved his bike taking off like a bat from hell following the trail hopping that the others could hold off until help arrived.
+With Phantom and the others+
The whole city was up in alarm as the Hulk and Magician of Black Chaos began destroying things. Up in a nearby building, two mages where besides themselves enjoying the carnage that the two were unleashing. It was taking every once of magic that Doctor Strange possessed to protect the people. Phantom wanted to go up the building and give the two mages a piece of his mind. But he, Daredevil, and Blade had other things to worry about. Despite the Daredevil being able to calm the Hulk down, the two mages spell was too strong for him to break through. Phantom knew that he would have to step up his game in order to stop the Hulk and Magician of Black Chaos.
*Danny forgive me but I need to use all of my untamed power.* Phantom stated to his host.
*And I take it that is bad because of what I have seen Atem and Yugi go through because of theirs.* replied Danny.
*My powers may not be as destructive as Atem's but, yes it will push your body to its limits.* replied the spirit.
*I trust you Phantom as I know that it would possibly happen in the end.*
*Don't give up hope yet you two. Save your powers Phantom. Your untamed voice alone can harm the innocent.* spoke a dark voice in the back of their minds. Atem's hellcycle came speeding in the area throwing up an intense wall of hellfire that threw the Hulk and Magician of Black Chaos back way from the people.
"Took you long enough to get here!" Phantom growled at Atem. Atem just smiled at the ghost angel as he turned towards the two mages.
"Spell Binding Circle!" Atem called out as a magical circle appeared at the mages feet and wrapped around their waist preventing them from controlling the Hulk and Magician of Black Chaos. "They are all yours my friend." Atem told Phantom earning a devilish smile from the ghost angel.
"I will make certain that they feel the full extent of what they have done." Phantom replied as he transformed into his true form flying off to the top of the building.
Atem then turned his attention towards Doctor Strange and the millennium wand.
"Mage Power!" he yelled out causing the millennium rod to glow. The spell greatly increased Doctor Strange's power along with the power the rod gave him. The sorcerer supreme said nothing as he just nodded his head in thanks. "Daredevil use the millennium key on the Hulk." Atem called out to hero.
"How?" asked Daredevil.
"Place the key against his forehead and turn like your undoing a lock. The device will handle the rest." Atem answered as the blind teen nodded his head that he understood. Blade went to help the Daredevil because he felt like he could be of use to the blind hero.
Atem then turned his complete attention to his friend, mentor, protector, ally, and caretaker.
"I didn't forget about you my old friend... Change of Heart!" Atem casted the one spell that he knew would bring Mahad back from the darkness. He then allowed every Mage that usually reside within the Shadow Realm to come forth. {He is all yours please bring him back safely.} he stated softly to the mages. The spell casters nodded his head as Atem began to feel weak. Using this much power within the human realm was draining as he knew that he couldn't allow the humans to see him transform back to his human identity. Suddenly a portal opened up behind him as he could see Clockwork put up a time freeze that would allow Atem to transform back into his human state.
Atem looked over to see that the magic users from the Shadow Realm had changed Mahad's heart. Mahad flew over to Atem.
{My lord please forgive me.} Mahad stated.
"There's no need my friend. I'm am just glad to have you back." Atem stated before collapsing into Mahad's arms as he transformed back into Yugi. Daredevil was finally able to reach his brother causing the Hulk to transform back into his human form. Phantom had flown down with the two mages completely out of commission as he had inflicted the penance stare on them both.
"Let's get them back to the graveyard. Don't worry about the humans as they won't be able to recall what happened." stated Clockwork as Phantom nodded his head.
"Let me bring these two to the authorities and I will meet you there." replied Phantom. Clockwork nodded his head as he allowed Mahad and the rest go through the portal. Phantom became invisible as he carried the two unconscious mages to the nearest police station.
T.V. Announcer: And welcome back to the Riders tribute. And here are you host's Scrletfyre and Drangonstar101. *audience claps as the two hosts enter*
Scrletfyre *cheers*: Yes three more chapters to go.
Dragonstar101: I am glad with how far we have come so far with this story.
Scrletfyre: So am I. I hope to finally put this story to rest in the next three chapters.
Atem, Phantom, Yugi, and Danny *shouting from back stage*: Thankheavens! *they all came on stage*
It is about time that you finally bring this to end.
Scrletfyre *pouting*: I don't want to hear it from you four as you should be even grateful that I am completing this story.
Dragonstar101: She has you there cause unfortunately I can't seem to write this story any longer.
Atem and Phantom *glare darkly*: And its you whom all started this mess!
Dragonstar101 *trembles in fear*: Now guys lets not do anything rash now! *Atem and Phantom rush at Dragonstar101 beating her up*
Scrletfyre: I am just glad it's not me suffering their wrath.
Danny and Yugi *nodding their head in agreement*
