Week Twenty-Five – April 24th
"Did we decide on baby names yet?" Ed asked, holding a baby name book he had bought after first finding out about Winry's pregnancy.
"Not after fighting the last time we talked about the names," Winry answered. "We've got two little boys to name."
"We should name them something completely different," Ed suggested. "Like…Dominic and Zachary."
"No," Winry immediately objected. "How about Edward and Alphonse Jr.?" she joked.
"Hell no," Edward responded.
"I want them named something that sounds good," Winry said. "But something different is good too. We don't want their names to be Devin and Kevin. I want something with an E. It reminds me of you."
"Ethan has an E in it," Edward mentioned.
"Ethan's a good name; I like that."
"What goes with Ethan that's not exactly the same?" Ed asked.
Winry pondered over this for a minute.
"Alphonse?" she brought up jokingly again. Edward nudged her. "Okay, okay; how about Anthony? I know you don't like the copy names, but it's only your middle name."
"Fine. As long as we don't name the next boy Michael."
Okay, so the story behind the names Dominic and Zachary are that my mom was 16 when she had my older brother and was planning on naming him Dominic, but eventually decided on Zachary.
As well as Michael and Anthony, in my previous stories, Edward's middle name has always been Anthony, and Alphonse's middle name has always been Michael.
