A/N: Yes, yes, I know it has been a long and unbearable wait for the next chapter. Maybe I'll update faster in the summer but since I'll still have a lot of work, it won't be as fast as you'd like it to be. Yes, if you're angry at me, I understand. I have been a lazy author but really, just blame school. Any ways, I've been writing mostly one-shots, so look out for those. They're mostly based off songs you all probably know. But, let me just stop my rambles and get on with the story!

A Dream Come True

Chapter 7

Normal POV

The birds chirped on trees near her open balcony, with the salty, ocean breeze entering her room, awaking her from her slumber. The red curtains gave the room a dark look, but when she pulled them apart, allowing the room to breathe once more, the sunlight brightened the room, reflected against the mellow colours painted across the wall. Misaki took a step outside in her white night gown, breathing in the fresh, tropical air and stretching.

"Good morning, Princess." Usui Takumi, sadly, was also awake and lounging on one of the white beach chairs provided on the balcony. He still looked sleepy although those emerald orbs were looking still sharp as ever. He then got up to lean on the balcony wall closest to her own balcony, only to get a glance at her outfit.

"Nice dress, by the way, though I prefer mine lacy and see-through." Realizing that she was still in her night gown, she blushed before smacking him on the head and returning to her room to change. She decided on a pair of black short shorts and a orange halter top paired off with flip flops for her morning commute. She closed the balcony door, muttering something about nosey neighbours before leaving the room, only to find Takumi waiting outside in the hallway, nicely dressed in a button-down shirt, cargo shorts and a pair of sandals, leaning on the wall beside her door.

"I see you took your sweet time dressing. Are you trying to impress somebody?" She rolled her eyes at him before following him to the elevator and from there, to the buffet area, making small talks on the way. They then collect breakfast items of their preferences, having a specific table for two already selected, Misaki sat there and started to indulge in her breakfast. The head chef was at the time walking around the dining area, making sure the tourists were content with the quality of service when he spotted Misaki all by herself, waiting for Takumi. Of course, he didn't know that and decided to make his way there.

"Good morning, Ms. Ayuzawa. I am the head chef for this restaurant. I was wondering if you have any problems with the service and quality of food." Misaki stirred her green tea before smiling and replying.

"No, I actually find the service here quite remarkable. The food served here is delicious and has a good variety. You are doing an excellent job, keep it up!" The head chef was on the brig of tears with that compliment from the CEO.

"I hope I'm not disturbing your breakfast but do you mind if I speak to you a little more?"

"No-" She was abruptly cut off when Takumi showed up, placing his china plate loaded with food on the table.

"Yes, she minds. Please leave my girlfriend and I to have our breakfast in piece." He then took a seat and began glaring at the poor man, who left quickly without question. Takumi then began to consume his breakfast in a mannerly, before glancing at Misaki, who was glaring at him.

"Not eating, princess? You need to eat or else you'll become even skinnier than you already are," he teased. She was not amused at all.

'So this is what they call her famous demon aura,' he thought, waiting silently for a comeback, while sipping on his hot coffee. She then took a deep breath before responding to him

"What's wrong with you? Do you want to start rumors? That man-"

"That man was obviously hitting on you, regardless of your high status. He should know better, you're way out of his league." He then took a bite of his omelette before continuing. "And why start rumors when we could just let everyone know the truth?" he teased once more. Her cheeks turned red at his comment, but she wasn't blushing, she was angry. She then gracefully got up from the table, turned on her heels and walked out the white double french doors.

'Too far?' He quickly got up to catch up with her, grabbing her wrist to catch her attention.

"Where are you going? You need to eat breakfast." She then glared at him, pulled her hand out of his grasp before responding.

"You're just as bad as Tora; and here I thought you would be different. I guess I was wrong. All you men are the same. Go and finish your breakfast. You can have mine too because I'm not hungry anymore." Takumi was shocked, no woman has ever spoken to him like that. He watched her retreating figure, deciding it would be better if he finished his meal and bring her a few cakes from the pastry area after.

Misaki walked briskly to her room, ignoring the looks other people gave her. She really couldn't give a damn right now. That Takumi-bastard, how dare he! He's just like every other guy out there. Insolent, disgusting little jerk! She wasn't looking where she was going and managed to bump into an unexpected Tora. He quicked grabbed her, preventing her from falling.

"Woah! Hey, you okay?" It was the first time she saw Tora have a concerned look for her. Holding back a few tears from her overflowing feelings, she quickly shoved him off and began running towards the elevator. The elevator door then closed before Tora could make it, but that didn't stop Tora. About five minutes after she reached her room, she heard a knocking on the door. She then slowly got up and checked the door, only to find Tora waiting on the other side of the door, a bouquet of red roses in his hand.

"What do you want?" Misaki asked through the little space the chain on the door allowed. Tora then stretch out his hand containing a bouquet of red roses.

"Look, I don't know what happened and I don't know who made you upset but would you like to have breakfast with me? It's not too late and judging by how pale you look, I'm going to guess you didn't have any either." She opened her mouth to politely decline when her stomach stated otherwise by making a grumbling noise. Tora then smirked and waited for her response. She then let out a sigh, accepted the roses and his request for breakfast. She left them on the table, locked the door and started to follow him. She then realized that they weren't going towards the buffet area.

"Where are we going?" She then glanced at him, to find him looking at her. He then looked back in front of him.

"To my room, of course. We're not going to the breakfast buffet in case you happen to meet up with the person who made you angry. And plus, they have a better variety of food on the breakfast-in-bed menu." He then inserted his card into the card holder of the door, unlocking it, and opening the door for Misaki. She muttered a polite thank you before surveying the room. It was similar to her room in the layout but she realized that he had a larger balcony, in which sat a intricately designed metal table with four complementary chairs surrounding it. He lead out to the balcony, overlooking the lush, vibrant flowers and the ocean blue sea in the distance. He then pulled out the chair for her and gave her the menu, while he went back inside for the wireless phone. After ordering, they sat there and made light conversations about work, her hotel and so forth. The food was delivered in a timely manner and they devoured the food, making little comments here and there.

"Thank you for making me feel better!" Misaki said to Tora, a smile playing across the faces of both of the young people. He then held the door out for her, leaning against the door frame as they exchanged good byes.

"So what are you doing to do now?" Tora asked.

"I have some work to do around the hotel, you know, reading this, signing that, the works." She then smiled, saying good bye once more before turning around to leave. Tora caught her hand, causing her to look back at him. He then pulled him to her, planting a kiss on her forehead and pushing a few hair strands behind her ear while he watched a blush emanate from her cheeks.

"See you later, my dear" He whispered in her ear before releasing her and going back into his room. She still had a blush on her cheeks as she stood awestruck outside his door, still not believing what just happened. Shaking it off as being an act of kindness, she returned to her own room only to find Takumi stooping in front of her door, his back leaning against the door. He perked up as soon as he saw her, picking himself up from off the ground with a plate covered with a napkin in his hand. He then turned to her.

"Misaki, I'm really sorry for what happened at breakfast. I-" He then stopped when he realized that Misaki was ignoring him , entering her room and closing the door in his face before he could stop her. However, five minutes after, she appeared in front of him once more, clad in a pair of black pants, a white t-shirt with the hotel's logo on it as well as a matching cap.

"Where are you going?" She looked at him, her eyes looked still had that fire in them.

"Work." She stated bluntly before turning on her heel and headed towards the elevator, leaving a confused Takumi behind her.

"I'm so glad you could make it!" squealed an over-excited Satsuki. Misaki had finally arrived to the Maid-Latte at the hotel. She previously ran a lot of errands and was now exhausted, her face flushed from the heat and sweat collecting on her shirt. She sat down and enjoyed the cool air conditioning before looking at the menus and other important documents for the Maid-Latte. She was the suddenly disrupted by Satsuki, who looked distressed now.

"Misaki! We need more waitresses! We're low on staff too! Oh, Misaki, what will we do?" To Misaki, Satsuki looked like the typical damsel in distress by the way she was acting.

"Satsuki, do you have an spare uniform?" She nodded her head in affirmation. "Do you think it could fit me?" Satsuki looked at her quizzically.

"Y-you want to serve?" Misaki, seeing nothing wrong with it, gave her a queer look and nodded. Satsuki then shrugged and disappeared into the back room before coming out once more, producing a french-maid costume. She then gave it to Misaki and showed her the room for the employees to place their belongings.

"Try it on quickly and tell me if it needs any adjustments. It looks like it would fit you though." Satsuki then pulled out a pair of silver keys, selected one and inserted it into the key hole of one of the lockers provided. It opened, revealing two shelves and a clothes rack.

"You can store your clothes and belongings here for the time being. I'll be outside." Satsuki then left, giving Misaki some privacy to change. The costume fitted her perfectly and the outfit was complete with knee-high black boots and a pair of cat ears. Misaki decided to leave her hair down since the cafe had air conditioning. Satsuki began to spurt colourful flowers as soon as Misaki left the changing room and did a little twirl for her.

"Oh my gosh, Misaki! You looks so cute in that little french-maid outfit!"

"Isn't it too short though?" The outfit stopped at her mid-thigh. Misaki was doing her best to make it a little longer, even if it's by a centimetre. Satsuki still found it cute by the way she looked in the outfit, even though now and then she'd fidget and tried to pull at the material.

"Don't worry, my dear. You'll get used to it and besides, it makes you look hot." Misaki then blushed at the compliment and muttered a quiet 'thank you' in return. Satsuki then gave Misaki a little tour of the cafe, telling her what she should do and so forth before sending her off to greet customers and take orders.

"Welcome home, Master." Misaki bowed and escorted a young gentleman to a booth beside the window and handed him a menu before heading over to another table to take the orders of a little family. The day basically went smoothly with many customers showing up ordering ice-cream due to the unbearable heat outside until a certain someone showed up.

"Welcome, master." Misaki bowed to the said person, like it was natural.

"Misaki? Is that you?" Misaki quickly looked up, her amber eyes meeting yellow eyes.

"Tora? What are you doing here?" He then laughed at the obvious question while Misaki escorted him to an empty table and handing him a menu.

"Other than outside being so hot, I saw a good amount of people here and decided to check out what was going on. By the way, you look adorable in that little outfit." Misaki blushed at his compliment and left with his order to give it to the girls working in the kitchen. She was passing a table when she felt her already too short skirt being lifted for a millisecond. She brushed it off as being the wind as it was a windy day and she was moving fast too. Passing the same table again to deliver Tora's parfait, she felt a distinct finger run against the skin of her thighs. She looked around and saw no one.

"Hey, you okay there, Misaki?" Tora asked, concerned for her wellbeing once more.

"Yeah, I just thought I saw someone I knew." She then placed his parfait on the table, bowed and left to do other duties.

Nothing weird happened after that so she brushed it off as being nothing to worry about. She kept working until 6, the time when the cafe closes, and still insisted to help out with the preparations for the next day.

"Where does the trash belong?" Misaki asked, holding up a medium-sized black garbage bag in one hand.

"No, no Misa. You've done enough for today, why don't you just go and enjoy the rest of the night."

"Okay, Satsuki. I'll just take out the trash and be on my way." Satsuki then pointed to a back door. Misaki then went through the said door and placed the garbage in the trash can. As she just touched the door knob to go back in, a hand covered her mouth and she was pushed against a wall. Her back ached from the impact. She say three guys surrounding her: two with black hair and one with brown hair with green highlights. They also had her hands bound above her head so she couldn't defend herself.

"She's a pretty one, isn't she Michael?" The brown-headed one looked back at one the black-headed one and smiled.

"Yeah. Wait, isn't she the head of this hotel? In a french-maid outfit? How precious." The other black-headed one then whipped out a camera, ready to take a picture of her. Misaki however thought fast and landed a kick on his nether regions, causing him to drop the camera and bend over in pain.

"Damn bitch! You need to be taught a lesson or two!" The one named Michael picked up the camera before Misaki could kick it or smash it and dusted it off.

"Imagine what would happen if this picture was released onto the internet. You're reputation would be completely ruined." Then a flash went off, followed by several flashed before the camera ended up on the floor. A black shoe then smashed the camera before all the three guys froze in shock. They were then knocked out one by one, and Misaki was pulled into the warm arms of her rescuer. She immediately retaliated by pushing against the hard chest of the man who rescued her, afraid because of what had transpired earlier.

"Misa, it's me." Looking up, she could see shining emerald-green eyes staring at her with such concern. He then reached out once more to encase her within his embrace. Feeling weak from the surprise attack, Misaki surrendered to his warm embrace.

"What are you doing here?" She looked at him, although feeling a little dizzy.

"I was watching them the whole day; you need to be more careful." He then felt dead weight in his arms, which tightened instinctively around her body. Turns out Misaki had fainted due to exhaustion. Switching his hold on her to bridal-style, he carried her back to his room.

A/N: Weird ending, right? Yeah, I don't feel like this is my best piece of writing, but I can say it has been my longest chapter so far. I plan on updating at the beginning of summer, for me. So please, leave a review, a comment on what you thought about the story. I appreciate all comments, even the concrits. Please forgive me if I overlooked any errors, grammatical or otherwise, in this chapter, my mistake. Have a nice Wednesday!
