Epilogue

"Winry?" Ed asked as he walked through the house. He didn't see the boys in their cribs, so he worried about where they would be. Of course Winry would have them, though, as she wasn't in bed with him either. He had woken and immediately went to check on the two, but they were nowhere to be found.

Alphonse had left with Mei days ago, leaving Edward and Winry to their two bundles of joy by themselves - besides granny Pinako there, though she left the work to the new parents so they would learn how to do it on their own.

Edward finally reached the basement where he knew that Winry would be. She had been dying to get down there ever since Ed had told her that she couldn't work on automail while she was pregnant. Thankfully, she actually listened, but now she was free to go back to what she loved.

"Winry?" Edward asked once again when he reached the bottom of the basement stairs. He soon saw that Winry was hunched over her work table with a bassinet beside the table. Ed knew that the boys were in there.

"Hey, Ed," Winry said as she looked up from the automail limb she was working on. "Is something the matter?"

"Just wondering where you and the boys were," Edward said, walking over and softly rubbing the bellies of the babies. They were both sleeping, limbs tangled together as they rested together much like they did in the womb.

"Let's try not to call them 'the boys'," Winry said. "I want them to be somewhat independent."

"Weren't you the one who wanted the matching names?" Ed asked.

"Shut up." Winry moved from her table to look at the babies. "You know, I never thought I could love someone so much."

"Hey, I thought you loved me," Edward commented.

"I do love you; just differently," Winry said. "I love you so much and then I love the two of them...It's like my heart grew or something."

"Maybe it did," Ed said. "If they were sleeping, why didn't you just leave them in their cribs?"

"I like having them close to me," Winry answered. "It makes it easier to breastfeed if they get hungry."

"You got a point. So, you take their bracelets off yet?" Edward asked, referring to the bracelets that Mei and Winry had put on the boys after they were born.

"Yeah, I can tell them apart now," Winry said. "Anthony is a lot nicer than Ethan."

"Really?" Ed asked with a laugh.

"Yeah," Winry answered with a smile. "And Anthony is always up early, but Ethan likes to sleep late. They're going to be difficult babes, that's for sure."

"I think we can do it," Ed said. "Right, guys?" At this, Ethan begun to let out a whine. Anthony followed shortly after. "What did I do?"

"They're just hungry," Winry said, uncovering her chest and lifting up the boys, one feeding on each breast.

"It's fine, guys, I like that spot too," Ed said with a grin.

"They have innocent reasons, Ed," Winry said. She would've smacked Edward's arm if she didn't have a babe in each arm.

"Well, I'll take them upstairs after you're done feeding them if you want," Edward said. "They won't have to eat for a couple of hours anyway."

"Sure, when you do, could you change them?" Winry asked.

"Of course."
