Okay… chapter four, Here it is!
(Still not sure what to write here)
Disclaimer: I don't own Inazuma Eleven/Go or any of its characters… though I wish I did…
Kirino sat up and looked at his watch, "Ugh, I hate getting up in the morning. I'm so tired!" Mumbled Kirino, "Another wonderful day to look forward to!" said Kirino, sarcastically. He rolled out of bed and fell onto the cold, stone floor, "Ahh… this is cold…"
"Um, Kirino-senpai? Are you in here?" asked Sasha as her head popped into Kirino's doorway.
! Why is she here? Why didn't she knock?! … I'm so glad I fell out of bed a second ago… I don't think she'll find me here, on the floor…
Sasha took a step into his room and quickly scanned his tiny, messy, and cramped up room. "Wow… His room is tiny…" She walked over to his bed, yanked his blanket up, and tossed it up into the air, letting it land gently on the now-worried-and-trying-to-hide Kirino. She looked at the empty bed, frowned and stomped out the door, disappointed.
Once Sasha closed the door Kirino jumped up and ran to the bathroom to get ready for school. His stomach growled.
I really hope this doesn't happen at school… I need to eat more…
Kirino gathered up his school bags, ran out the door, and tripped down the stairs. "Ohaiyo… Mina..." He said trying to sound unaffected his embarrassing entrance. The fact that his hair was covering his face helped him hide his embarrassment.
I'm glad I forgot to tie my hair up…
He stood up and casually walked to the table and sat himself down to the only person he could trust in this horrid and repulsive place, his mother. He looked at his watch and immediately jumped up, "I'm almost late!" He yelled as he started to gather his stuff together.
"Ranmaru, you must eat your breakfast before you go to school! I've told you this before. Please, dear!" begged his mother, "You've been skipping breakfast every-other day and you skip dinner every single night! Food gives you the energy you need to use for your school-work."
"But it also eats up my precious time, Mother!" answered Kirino, "I'll eat it on the way to school." Kirino reached down and grabbed his backpack. "Come on, guys… let's go!"
"Ranmaru, Can you pass me a few rubber-bands?" asked Kirino's gentle mother. Kirino grabbed a few rubber-bands, along with his two precious hair-ties, and put them on the table, thinking that they were all rubber-bands. Sasha, seeing what Kirino had just unconsciously done, walked by that side of the table and snatched up his two hair-ties. Kirino's mother hadn't seen what Sasha had done so she only thanked Kirino for the rubber-bands and hurried off to prepare for work, slipping the rubber-bands onto her wrist.
"Hurry up, guys! We're g-"
"Shut up, Ranmaru! Don't you dare talk to us in that tone of voice again!" screamed Julia, "I'm sick of your superior attitude! You're so immature!"
"Sorry… I didn't mean to sound-"
"JUST SHUT UP AND DON'T GIVE ME ANY LAME EXCUSSES!" Julia interrupted; she furiously stopped out the door.
Kirino and Sasha followed worriedly. The walk to school was a very tense and unpleasant one, full of uneasy silence. Sasha kept glancing in Kirino's direction. Kirino looked up from the ground and met Sasha's eyes. Sasha turned away instantly. "Um, Sasha? Is there something wrong?" Kirino asked wondering why she kept on looking at him.
"Ahh… No. It's nothing. I just… um, don't mind me…"
"Ok…" Kirino concluded, not wanting to continue this seemingly meaningless conversation.
They walked on in complete silence.
I hope Julia's not really angry… She'll make me work longer… She'll probably be thinking of ways she can punish me during class.
Kirino frowned and continued walking, but a little faster. Julia and Sasha picked up Kirino's faster pace and quickly adjusted, thinking that Kirino wanted to get to school quicker. They didn't sense Kirino's anger or frustration. They never did before this either.
I wonder what Shindou will do when he sees me again. I think he'll try to avoid me gain today...
Kirino stopped suddenly.
MY HAIR-TIES! I'm not wearing my hair-ties!
Kirino's hand shot to his wrist. He felt around a bit and then lifted his wrist up, "Wha- … Where are my hair-ties?!" He turned back to look at Julia and Sasha. His eyes automatically fell to their wrists, "Did you guys-"
"Keep walking!" Julia ordered as she pushed past Kirino, roughly. Kirino started to panic.
I need my hair-ties! What am I going to do?!
"Kirino-senpai, you can go one day without your hair-ties, right?" Sasha asked, innocently.
Kirino bowed his head, letting his long, flowing hair prevent anyone from seeing his hateful facial expression.
Mother, what would you do in my place? You're the one who always gives me good advice… what should I do now?
He stood there a moment, still staring the floor. "Julia, Sasha… I just want to tell you one thing. Please listen." Kirino said as he slowly but steadily lifted up his face to look at the two hateful sisters standing before him. "No matter what you do, you can't break me… even if you go as far as ruining my life. You can't break me!"
He looked Julia straight in the eyes and said, "You can try all you want, but it'll all be in vain. I know you've succeeded in hurting other people… but not me, you can't. I won't let you…"
Julia scowled, "Oh yeah? We'll see about that!" She screamed. "Come on, Sasha. Let's go." She said strictly as she grabbed Sasha by the wrist and pulled her in the direction they came. Kirino watched them leave.
Where are they going? Ah, It shouldn't matter to me! It's their loss at being late to class… I just hope they don't do anything too harsh to me when they take revenge…
At school, Kirino, still worrying about his hair-tie situation, tried desperately to avoid Shindou although he knew it was in vain, for his locker sat next to Shindou's.
I can't let Shindou see that I don't have my hair ties… What if he still remembers what he said when we were little? What will I say to him if he sees? What will he think? What if he doesn't want to be my friend anymore? … Why am I worrying so much?
Kirino waved all his uncertainties aside and tried to walk confidently to his locker. He sighed as he started to organize his locker.
"I see you've chosen a new style for your hair, Kirino-senpai." Kariya smirked as he stepped forward and intertwined a lock of Kirino's smooth hair with his fingers. Kirino froze.
"Where are your hair-ties? The ones you never let out of your sight." Asked Kariya.
A sly smile formed on his face, "Does… Shindou know?" Kariya teased as he lifted Kirino's hair to his nose.
Kirino just stood there, speechless, hoping that Kariya, the kid who seemed to know everything about everyone, didn't know the meaningful story behind his hair-ties.
"K-Kariya, what are y-you doing?" asked Kirino, trying to sound unconcerned but failing miserably.
"Is my beautiful senpai worrying about what Shindou will think of him without his cute pigtails?" Kariya asked, teasingly.
Kariya leaned in closer to Kirino, reducing the space between them. Kirino reacted how anyone would react if something creepy and repulsive were moving closer to you. He took a step back, unintentionally pushing his locker shut behind him in the process.
"Um, K-Kariya, W-What are you d-doing?" Kirino asked, obviously confused.
"What did you say, Kirino-senpai?" Kariya whispered into his ear, making him shudder.
What is Kariya doing?! Why is he acting like this?!
Kirino tried to shove Kariya away, but his struggles were useless despite the fact that Kariya was younger and shorter than him.
"Kariya, Please move! I don't want to be late to class!" Kirino pleaded.
"You're pretty weak when it comes to anything other than sakka!" Kariya scornfully remarked.
He leaned in closer, so close that they could feel the other's breath.
"My beautiful, senpai!" Kariya smirked as he forcefully pressed their lips together.
Kirino let out a piercing cry that echoed throughout the hallway. Heads turned in their direction. Kariya dropped Kirino and walked off, "See you later, Kirino-senpai!" said Kariya, looking fairly proud of what he had done. Kirino stood there still shocked at what Kariya dared to do.
Eww… Did that really just happen? Did Kariya… did he really do that to me?!
Kirino stood there for a few minutes before he went to class. He tried to shove the distracting thoughts aside, but his thoughts about the creep were too persistent and he couldn't get it out of his head.
Stop thinking of Kariya! I don't have time for this!
Kirino's struggle to get Kariya off his mind went on for the entire day.
I can't keep on thinking of this! What if I can't finish Julia and Sasha's school work, or my chores?! Ugh, Kariya, Why did you do this to me?!
Shindou sat on the other side of the room, wondering why Kirino had chosen not to wear his hair-ties.
Maybe he wants a new hair style... He probably got bored of his other one...
Shindou watched as Kirino wrested with his distracting thoughts.
I hope he's okay… How could Kariya do something like THAT to him?! I bet he likes Kirino too…
Shindou knew that he liked Kirino, a lot, and that caused him to turn slightly pink.
Maybe… I should… confess my feelings for him… I need to know what he thinks of me!
After school was over, Shindou gathered up his courage and stiffly walked up to Kirino. "Hey, Kirino…" Shindou greeted.
Kirino turned, "Oh, Hi Shindou! Do you want something?" he asked, hoping that Shindou wouldn't comment on his new hair style.
Shindou's face flushed, "Um, Can I talk to you about something… over there?" Shindou pointed to a spot behind the school building.
"Uh, okay…" Kirino answered, a little surprised that Shindou didn't seem to be bothered about his hair.
Kirino followed Shindou as he went through the crowd of students and behind the school building. "Um, so…. I've wanted to tell you this for a while…"
Shindou paused. An uncomfortable silence filled the air.
"Yes, Shindou? What did you want to tell me?" Kirino asked, replacing the awkward silence with his own hesitant but curious voice.
"Um, I j-just wanted to say… um, Th-That I kinda, no I-I r-really…" Shindou paused as he lifted his head back up, to look Kirino in the eyes, "I really like you… I love you."
Shindou watched Kirino as his facial expression changed from slight curiosity to pure shock.
"W-What? You… like me? Like… like you want me to be your... boyfriend?" Kirino asked, slowly.
Shindou nodded, slowly. "Yeah, that kind… I know it's weird because we're both, um, guys, but I… I want to know want you think of me… because I told you h-how I feel about y-you… "
Kirino stood there, his eyes wide.
OMG! Shindou likes me! He likes me! What am I supposed to do now?!
Kirino started to panic. He glanced backwards, the direction he had come from.
Should I run? …. Agh, I'm taking too long to decide!
Kirino turned and ran away, out of habit. He'd grow too used to running away whenever something shocked him.
Wait! Why am I running? I have to go back and answer him! What am I going to tell him?
Kirino slowed down and came to a sudden stop. He turned backwards, eager to see where Shindou was in hope of continuing their unconcluded conversation, despite the fact that he didn't know what to say to him. After a few seconds of scanning the crowd of students, he finally spotted Shindou. When his eyes met Shindou's he instantly felt a jab of pain right through his heart. Shindou looked hurt, but there was another look in his eyes that Kirino just could not describe or understand. It was like pain, as if he were suffering. Shindou instantly turned away; it hurt him too much to look at Kirino.
I should have known… Why would Kirino like me anyway? He's not into other boys… and even if he was, he'd probably like that flirt, Kariya
Shindou's eyes started watering up. He went home, depressed and disappointed that Kirino didn't love him back.
Well, of course he wouldn't like me back! He probably doesn't even like me as a friend. That's why he spends so much time at home with Julia and Sasha! That's why he took out his hair-ties, because he doesn't care about our friendship anymore...
Shindou's tears seemed endless, he couldn't stop crying.
WHY?! Why was I such a baka to confess my feelings for him? If I hadn't confessed, I'd know that we could still be friends… maybe... What am I saying? He wouldn't want to be my friend even if I hadn't told him...
Shindou filled his head with thoughts of Kirino and he cried himself to sleep.
Kirino, on the other hand, was still at school gathering his books together, preparing to go straight home because there wasn't soccer practice that day. He went outside to the entrance of the school, looking for Julia and Sasha. He didn't find anyone at the entrance, to his surprise, so he happily went on without them.
I never would have gone without them, but today… I just feel like defying them… They've done enough damage to my once wonderful life…
He walked on, fanning his anger and hatred towards Julia and Sasha by feeding his mind more and more thoughts of their faults.
They're so stuck-up and unfair! They're so selfish!
He became angrier by the second.
Those damn bitches! Why do they want to ruin my life?!
He stood still, trying to calm himself down.
I-I can't stand them or their actions anymore… Mother, what should I do?
He tried to recall what his mother had taught him about anger.
Flashback 10 years ago (When Kirino was 7)
"Ranmaru, I know you're upset-"
"No, mommy! I'm angry!"
"… ok, I know you're angry right now, but even though she kicked your ice cream, you shouldn't hit her."
"But it's not fair if I don't get to hit her!"
"I know it's not fair, but it's the right thing to do."
"When people are angry, they can't think clearly and when people can't think clearly, they make bad choices. Even though it felt good to take revenge on her, you shouldn't do it. Never chose to take revenge. Instead, you can forgive them, but don't give them the chance to hurt you again. I know it's really hard to be good when you're angry, Ranmaru, but I know you can do it!"
"I can?"
"Yes, I believe you can, Dear. When you start to get angry, calm yourself down and remember to think clearly. You can always talk to me when you are upset at someone and you need to let it all out. I'll always be there for you!"
End of Flashback
Kirino took in a few deep breaths.
I won't let them boss me around anymore. I'll try standing up to them… but I must be calm and level-headed when I do so… but I'll talk it through with my mother before I go confront them…
He walked home, feeling a little light-hearted when he arrived, having no suspicion of the wicked surprise waiting for him. A surprise that would change his already-horrid life into something much, much worse…
I'm starting to feel sorry about what I'm doing to Kirino… I'M REALLY SORRY, KIRINO!
Anyway, please leave a review for this chapter! Let me know if you can always tell who is talking and who's point of view it is. And please tell me if the chapters are too short!
My homework took so long to finish today… plus, I'm getting even sicker… I need to rest…
*sighs* I'm losing motivation to continue writing this story…
