OK! Finally finished with chapter 5! Sorry for the long wait… if there even is anyone who's been waiting…

Anyway, SORRY KIRINO FOR WHAT I'M ABOUT TO DO TO YOU!

Disclaimer: I do not own Inazuma Eleven/Go or any of its characters!

"Mother, I'm home!" announced Kirino as he stepped inside. "…" He waited a few seconds before calling his mother again.

Why isn't she answering?!

Kirino, growing slightly impatient after 3 minutes, called for his mother again, "MOTHER, Where are you?"

Kirino walked into the kitchen.

Mother's not here? She's usually cooking dinner around this time…

Kirino glanced at his watch to confirm the time.

Yes, it's the correct time… she should be here… Maybe she's feeling sick…

Kirino ran upstairs to his room and dropped off his school bag. He turned and walked across the hallway to his mother's room.

Knock! Knock!

"Mother, are you in here?" Kirino asked. He waited for his mother to answer…

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Mom?" Kirino called. He was answered with complete silence.

Is she okay? Did something happen to her?!

He waited another minute before cautiously opening the door.

"Mother, are you in here?" He asked as he stepped his mother's neat and orderly room.

Wow, it's so clean… I really need to tidy my room up a bit…

He cautiously walked around his mother's soundless room, not wanting to disturb a thing.

Everything seems so still and peaceful in here… so quiet…... a little too quiet

He turned towards the door and ran out. "Julia, Sasha?..." A chill ran up his spine.

Nobody's answering me… Is anyone even home?

"Is anyone here?" He called, hoping that at least SOMEONE was at this now-starting-to-become-creepy building. He waited a few seconds before calling again. "HELLO? ….Anyone?"

This is really creepy…

He walked back into his mother's room. He found comfort by spending time in this room, for this was his beloved mother's room. He went over to the bed at sat down. "Mom…" he sighed, "Where are you?!" He took out his phone, dialed his mother's number, and up his phone to his ear. A second later, he heard his mother's ring-tone coming from under the bed. He looked down, surprised.

He jumped up and looked under the bed.

… Mom's purse?!

He pulled his mother's halfway opened purse out from underneath the bed and held it up.

THUMP

A few of the items from his mother's purse had fallen out. He turned the purse around to find that it had been slashed open on that side.

What is this… Why is it cut open?

He stared at the cut purse, trying to come up with reasons to explain why the purse was cut.

This is getting really freaky now…

He pulled his mother's phone out of her purse and examined the front side, carefully.

Her phone looks pretty normal… I think I have to look through everything in her- ! Ewww, what is this?!

He turned his mother's phone to the back side to find some kind of red liquid on his fingertips.

Is this… blood?

The thought scared him and he instantly became very, very insecure. His head shot straight up and he looked at the door. Everything was still. He glanced at all the windows but nothing seemed to be happening there either. He scooted backwards until his back hit the wall.

Everything's so… so… Creepy now…

Kirino tried to breathe softer, in fear of being heard by... well, anyone. He dumped the contents of his mother's purse in the small space in front of him. He examined the contents very thoroughly.

Blood… there's blood smeared on everything…

He picked up his mother's purse and placed his hand inside, only to yank it back out when he found it damp with blood.

Ugh, this is gross… I hope mother's okay… maybe I should call the police or something, but first, I need to wash my hands... my bloody hands…

The thought made him shiver. He looked at the bathroom door suspiciously.

Maybe there's someone inside! … don't be ridiculous!

He started to argue with himself.

There's no one inside, There can't be anyone inside! And this can't be blood either! It can't be… It can't be… This can't be happening… It's probably just a coincidence and everything just seems like blood and murder and stuff… The "blood" is probably juice or something… But what if it is real? What if all of this is really happening to me?! IT'S NOT HAPPENING! IT CAN'T BE HAPPENING! What are the chances that something like THIS could be happening to me right now? … It's can't be real… It must all be fake... maybe everyone's playing a prank on me

Making himself believe that none of this was real, made him feel much, much safer as he stood up and walked across the silent room, towards the bathroom to wash his hands.

Ngh…. [cough]

Kirino turned around, "Hello?" He waited and waited for a reply, not moving a muscle.

I must be hearing things…

He started to walk again when he heard his name being called.

Ranmaru? [cough] … Is th-that y-you?

Who is this person calling my name?! How do they know my name? This person sounds like they're straining their voice… and it's coming from the bathroom… The bathroom! I KNEW THERE WAS SOMEONE IN THE BATHROOM! I KNEW IT! … Does that mean… that everything else I thought was true too?!

He stared at the bathroom door, fear in his eyes.

Ran- [cough]- maru, h-help…

There was something very familiar about this voice, but he just couldn't think at the moment. There were too many things flying through his head. He walked to the door, slowly.

I'll open it and hide… or maybe I take that knife on the floor and- ! THERE'S A KNIFE ON THE FLOOR!

He stared at the blood-covered knife.

Okay, calm down! Calm down! Calm down! I can't think when I panic, so I need to calm down….

He breathed in deeply a few times before grabbing the door handle with his right hand.

No, maybe I should open it with my left hand… just in case the person inside chops it off… wait, why would someone want to chop off my hand? … WHY AM I TRYING TO OPEN THIS DOOR IN THE FIRST PLACE?!

Kirino let go the handle and took a few steps back.

I… I really should call the police… I can't think straight… I could seriously mess something up…

R-Ranmaru, [cough] please h-help me!

What if there's someone that needs help behind that door?

Kirino's curiosity grew and grew as more and more bizarre ideas popped into his head.

Maybe there's a child in there that fell into the bathtub and got a concussion… Maybe some random person walked inside and the light on the ceiling fell on them… Maybe the person next door climbed in through the window and hurt his leg and stumbled into the bathroom…

Before he knew it, Kirino's hand was on the doorknob, turning it slightly.

Maybe… Mother's in there…

At that, Kirino couldn't resist anymore. He opened the door and stepped inside. The bathroom wasn't exactly big, but it was a lot bigger than what Kirino was used to.

It's so big… Everything's so clean… the toilet is so- ! BLOOD, MORE BLOOD! THERE'S BLOOD ON THE BEAUTIFUL TOILET! … Why did I describe the toilet as beautiful? … AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, DEAD BODY!

Kirino jumped out the bathroom and darted out the door.

What was that?! WHY WAS THERE A DEAD BODY IN MOTHER'S BATHROOM?! … Mother… MOTHER!

He ran back into the bathroom the second he realized that it was his mother, he saw lying on the floor, covered in blood… Her own blood…

The whole bathroom's bloody… Covered in Mom's blood…

He stepped over to his mother, trying to avoid all the pools of blood on the floor. "Mother! Mother! Are you… are you awake?!" He asked, choosing to use the word 'awake' instead of 'dead'. His mother's eyes were barely open. She was suffering from a terrible head concussion along with deep cuts in her arms and legs. But her main injury was from a pair of scissors, penetrating her in the abdomen.

"Ranmaru…" His mother said with effort.

"Mother," Kirino cried, "Do you want me to call the ambulance? I'll go call the ambulance!" Kirino was about to stand up when his mother weakly grabbed his wrist.

"No, Ranmaru…" She laid her head back in a resting position. "Th-that isn't… it isn't true…"

"What? What's not true?" Kirino asked, eager to know what his dying mother was talking about. His mother's eyes slowly shifted to the glass shelf above the elegant sink. Kirino followed his mother's eyes. He stood up and took the small slip of paper. He glanced at his mother one last time before he read what was written on the note.

Dear, Ranmaru

I am terribly sorry about how my next actions are going to affect you. I am very frustrated at life right now and I have decided to end my horrid life. I will commit suicide. When you read this, I'll probably already be gone. I'm writing this to tell you that I'm sorry and that I want you to live the rest of your life with Julia and Sasha or I'll be mad at you.

Love, Your Mommy

Kirino could easily tell that this was NOT written by his mother. The moment he read "Dear, Ranmaru" he knew that this wasn't his mother's handwriting, although it was very similar. He knew that his mother would never do such a thing as committing suicide or telling him to spend his life somewhere he hated. His mother never threatened him with her anger either and the last words were very inaccurate.

Kirino knelt down by his mother again, "I know that this is fake."

His mother smiled, "Yes, Ranmaru… I knew you would be able to tell!" She lay in front of him, silent for another minute before she spoke again.

"Ranmaru, I love you… and don't be foolish by blaming this on yourself… use your brain, okay, Dear?"

"Yes, mother…" Kirino said through tears. "Are you sure you don't want me to call-"

"No!" his mother interrupted, "Don't call them… I'm already… as good as dead…"

"Mother… No, I don't want you to die! You can't die! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING TO ME!" he screamed, crying at the same time.

His mother looked at him. It seemed as if she was more worried for him then he was for her. "Ranmaru, please…" she paused, trying to endure all the pain she was receiving from her wounds, "p-please control [cough] y-your anger when I'm… g-gone."

"Mother…. HOW AM I GOING TO LIVE WITHOUT YOU?! Mother…." He cried, "I can't… I… I can't, mother!"

"Yes you can, Ranmaru! You're s-strong. You can l-live on your own…" His mother said with difficulty, "Remember, don't take you're a-anger out on anyone, okay, Ranmaru?"

"Yes, Mother… I won't"

"Not even yourself, okay?"

Kirino nodded in response.

"Ranmaru,"

"Yes, Mother?"

"I [cough]… I l-love you! N-never forget…" his mother said, using the last of her energy.

Kirino, seeing that those words were the last word she would ever say to him, answered "I won't forget, Mother. I love you too!"

His mother passes away moments later. Kirino reached out his hand to feel the pulse on her neck. Nothing… He turned away from his mother's now-lifeless body.

Sh-She's gone… gone forever…

Kirino stumbled to his mother's bed, sobbing.

This isn't a dream… She's gone… gone from me forever! MOTHER, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME… you can't be gone! You just can't… I can't except your death… mother…

Kirino sat down on his mother's bed.

I have to except this… She's dead… she's gone… she's not coming back… Julia and Sasha will probably sell all her stuff and-

Kirino leaped up from his spot on the bed and ran to his mother's safe. He typed in the numbers and opened the safe. He reached inside and pulled out his mother's jewelry along with a few of her other prized possessions. He quickly went back into his room and hid them.

At least I have these things from Mother...

A few minutes later, he called the police. They showed up 10 minutes later and went to work. They asked for details involving his mother's death, but Kirino was too shaken to answer any more questions than a few. Later, they sent detectives to work of identifying his mother's murderer. Julia and Sasha showed up during dinner, complaining about how sad they were because they saw a dead cat on the street. Kirino scowled at them.

They had something to do with mom's death… I just know it… and now, they're trying to get me at my most vulnerable state… THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THIS FAR TO TRY TO 'GET BACK' AT ME! AGHHH! ALL I DID WAS STAND UP TO THEM! THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO KILL MOM!

Kirino stood up and calmly walked upstairs to him room. He walked over to his bed and let himself fall face-down on his bed.

They truly ARE evil... why did they have to kill Mother?! ... Mother...

"Mom [sniff] I love you, Mother! [Sniff, sniff] I miss you!" Kirino cried. "Mother… Mother…" He fell asleep minutes later, too tired from all the excitement of that unbelievably tragic day.

I'm seriously wondering why I even started writing this fanfic…
