And I'm sorry if anyone reading this likes Kariya.. I really like Kariya too he's my third favorite character after Shindou and Kirino, but anyway, I'm just using him as a problem to keep the story going, kay?

And one more thing, when you see double parentheses it means thoughts, okay?

When they reached school Kirino was a little hesitant to get out of the car. But Shindou just hopped out when his driver opened the door. He turned back and looked at Kirino.

"Are you coming?"

Kirino gave a small nod and cautiously climbed put of the car, his eyes searching the crowd of students for Julia and Sasha.

"I'm gonna be in soooo much trouble if they find me.." Kirino complained.

Shindou looked around nervously.

"Are you gonna be okay?"

Kirino nodded, even though he wasn't sure he was gonna make it through the day.

"Well, if you need me for anything, just let me know okay?"

Kirino nodded again and faked a smile as Shindou walked off into the school building.

"I'm gonna be juuust fine..." Kirino mumbled sarcastically to himself.

((Like hell I'm gonna be fine! I'm already feeling different after Shindou left... And there's Julia, Sasha and Kariya out there to drag me down... Shindou's my only comfort in the hell of a life... But I can't tell him... I care too much about him to bother him with my issues... I guess I gotta fight this impossible fight on my own... At least I'll die trying...))

He walked after Shindou into the school, his head hanging low.

Kirino made it through his first few classes with only the fear and dread of seeing one of them but during his study hall period he ran into the most unfortunate one of all.

Kariya.

"Yo, Kirino-seenpaaaii~"

Kirino flinched at the sound off his voice.

"Is something wrong, senpai?" Kariya asked as he steppes forward.

Kirino couldn't seem to find his voice so he drew back a step and shook his head.

Kariya laughed.

"Looks like you're just soooo happy to see me that you're speechless!"

Kirino turned to run but Kariya had already predicted his actions and had one hand gripped uncomfortably tight around Kirino's wrist.

Kirino let out a yelp but Kariya's other hand had already shot up to his mouth to silence him.

"Shhh, there's nothing to be afraid of, my beautiful senpai" hissed Kariya as he yanked Kirino closer to him.

Kirino tried to pull away but to no avail.

"I missed you yesterday, senpai.." Kariya whispered into Kirino's ear, sending a shiver down his spine. Kariya reached up to stroke his hair and Kirino flinched at his touch.

"What were you and Shindou-senpai doing?"

Kirino struggled and tried to pull away again but Kariya wouldn't budge.

"Did you guys really make plans or was that son of a bitch lying?"

Kirino just stood there, frozen.

"Its alright, you don't have to tell me. I already know he was lying. But you can make it up to me. Come over to my place this afternoon, okay, senpai?"

"I-I... I wasn't really planning on-"

Kariya interrupted him by digging his nails into his skin.

"What were you saying? I mean, because your Mother always wanted you to do the right thing right? You wouldn't want to disappoint her would you? Especially right after her very unfortunate death." Kariya said with a smirk.

Kirino's head dropped. He couldn't let Kariya see him cry. He wanted to stay strong for his mother.

"I... Kariya, I wish you would stop talking about my mother... Please stop..."

Kariya responded with a laugh.

"Oh, Kirino-senpai, you're so cute! I bet that's one thing your mother Loved about you. You know, its a real pity she's dead. You guys could have done soooo many thing together. I bet you really miss her. But that doesn't really matter anyway, too bad for you. Heh, you didn't even get to say 'good bye' did you? Oh yeah, and I heard she died right in front of you. And you seriously did Nothing? Wow, senpai, you're brutal. I didn't know you-"

Kariya stopped short when he noticed Kirino expression.

Kirino was crying but he bit his lower kip to try to force back the tears.

"Ooooohh, senpai, you do have feelings!" Kariya said with a smirk.

Kirino managed not to burst out crying while Kariya was still there but the moment he walked out of sight he gave in. He sank down by his locker and cried.

He went on with the day but his mind wasn't there. Only when he saw Shindou did his day brighten up a bit.

"Woooah.. Kirino are you okay?" Shindou asked worriedly as he ran to Kirino's side.

"Shindou... I-I... I don't know... I can't describe this feeling very well but I want it to go away..."

Kirino looked at Shindou with watery eyes and hugged him tight.

"Kirino..."

"I-I guess you could say I feel... Dead..."

Shindou wrapped his arms around him. He didn't know any other way he could comfort him.

"It's okay.. I'll protect you, I promise." Shindou said with a comforting smile.

Kirino grinned and hid his face in Shindou's shirt.

"Thanks"

As his day went on, he came to realize just how much he needed Shindou. When Shindou wasn't around he felt unsafe and vulnerable, but when Shindou did show up Kirino wouldn't leave his side. Shindou was his only comfort in this struggle.

After school was finished, Kirino went outside to look for Shindou but instead he ran into Julia and Sasha.

Kirino stumbled back and turned to leave but Sasha grabbed him around his waist and held him tight in place.

"I was worried sick about you yesterday, Ranmaru! Where were you? You know, you really should tell someone so you can be safe. Well that doesn't matter anymore. What matters is how you can come home with me and play! Come on, let's go!" Sasha started to drag Kirino away but Kariya of all people stepped in.

"Hey! What are you doing senpai? I thought we made plans for this afternoon!" Kariya said.

Sasha gave a look of dismay.

"Y-you guys made plans?" She asked looking at Kirino.

Kariya answered, "yeah, didn't you hear the first time?" And he grabbed Kirino's arm and pulled him away.

When they had left Julia and Sasha, Kirino turned and asked, "Kariya.. Why did you do that?"

Kariya grinned and answered, "because its my turn to have a day with senpai! Come on, let's go to my place!"

"Wh-what?"

Kariya quickly dragged him away towards his home. Kirino tried to protest but Kariya elbowed him in the stomach.

"Senpai, please shut up. You're making your mother happy by doing this. She would be so disappointed in you if you rudely turned away your kouhai's request to study with you."

Kirino stayed quiet after he mentioned his mother. He couldn't go on like this and he knew it. He went on with the flow and didn't protest at all.

Kirino only came to his senses when they had finally reached Kariya house. Kariya lead Kirino to his room and closed the door behind him.

"Heh, senpai... It's so nice of you to be here with me.."

Kariya smirked and locked the door.

"We're in for a fun time..."
