Hey again, all you anime lovers out there. Sorry, it's been awhile since I last posted. I don't have much to say, aside from the fact that I'll try to upload more often, but with school and everything, I haven't had a lot of free time. Anyways, here's the next chapter.

Chapter 4- Magic and Chakra

After about three minutes, Naruto recovers. "So, Natsu, you can eat fire.." Natsu nods his head with a grin. "Yep, thats right. Most fire tastes pretty damn good too." Naruto shakes his head in disbelief. "Is this because you're a dragon slayer?" he asks. Natsu nods again. "Right again. I don't just eat it when I'm hungry, though. I can also eat it to restore my magic energy."

Naruto frowns. "I still don't understand. What's magic energy?" Wendy decides to explain. "I think i get it. Magic energy is our version of chakra. While you use it to perform your jutsus, we use it to cast our spells. Magic energy and chakra are just two covers of the same book." she says. Deciding to see if her idea is true, she looks to Naruto. "What happens if you use all of your chakra, but continue to try to use more?"

Naruto takes a moment to think. "Well, if we get to the point where we are drawing on chakra that we don't have, bad things happen to us. We can get knocked into a coma, or spend days in the hospital. If it gets too bad, we could even die." Wendy nods her head. "The same things happen if we use too much of our magic energy." Naruto brightens up, finally understanding. "So if you are all dragonslayers, does that mean you can all eat fire?" he asks the trio. Wendy and Gajeel's eyes grow as wide as saucers. "Hell, no!" Gajeel exclaims. "We only eat our own elements." Wendy nods. "I can't eat fire, but I can eat air. Natsu is the only one who can eat fire," She explains, looking admiringly at the Salamander.

Naruto looks to Gajeel, seeing him draw a hefty-looking skillet pan from his cloak. About half of the pan is missing, humongous bit marks marking where the creature had stopped gnawing on the metal. Naruto looks at it with a questioning glance. "Big rat?" he asks. "YEAH, A BIG RAT WITH DRAGONSLAYER MAGIC AND A BUNCH OF SCREWS IN HIS FACE!" he says while laughing his butt off. Wondering what Natsu is talking about, he turns again to look at Gajeel, to see him chewing on the rest of the pan."I'm not even going to ask," he says. Gajeel laughs. "You guys realize you just went over everything Erza had talked to us about, right.?" Wendy blushes. "What?! If Erza explained this to us already, how come you didn't say anything?" The iron dragonslayer laughs. "I didn't want to. It's fun to watch you look stupid."

After hearing this, Natsu redirects his anger to Wendy. "Why didn't you say anything, Wendy?" he asks, a scary expression on his face. The poor loli steps back, the blush on her face spreading throughout the rest of her body. "I-I...," she stammers. Gajeel answers for her. "Because, you flame-broiled idiot, while Erza was explaining on the way here, you girlfriend here was doing all she could to keep you from throwing your stomach out the window. It took us over two-hundred trains to get here. She probably didn't hear it either." Natsu grows pale. "Over two-hundred trains,?" he asks. Naruto notice the contrast between Natsu's pink hair and his now-green face. He turns to Wendy. "That must have been hard. Sorry for yelling like that, Lo…" he begins, but quickly cuts himself off, noticing how Gajeel had called Wendy Natsu's girlfriend, and wondering if anybody else had seen the connection between the himself and Wendy. Overlooking this personal moment, Naruto speaks again. "So, you guys eat special things for breakfast. I still don't believe in magic. Before anyone can retort, Sasuke, Sakura, and the rest of the Fairy Tail mages turn the corner to see the three dragonslayers and Naruto. Erza approaches the four. "Sorry, but whatever you were discussing will have to wait. The hokage of this land, Lady Tsunade, wants us all to go to the central arena so that the village can see what we can do. She also wants to watch us and see if we are really worth their money." Everyone nods. Naruto raises his hand, as if he were in school, but out of complete respect, knowing he didn't want to piss of Erza. The queen of the fairies looks at him. "Yes, Natsu?" Natsu gives here a serious look. "If it's all the same with you, I have one question." Erza nods. "Shoot," she says. A twinkle comes into Natsu's eyes. "If we accidentally destroy the arena, will we have to pay for it?" Naruto goes to stand by Sakura. "They can't really destroy the new central arena, can they?" Sakura shakes her head. "I don't know, but if they can, we have more powerful allies than we could ever have imagined. The central arena stretches over a mile in all directions." Back in the conversation between Erza and Natsu, the former laughs. "Of course not. They couldn't possibly called on Fairy Tail to help if they didn't want to see a little destruction. Since I've been appointed the leader of this mission by Makarov, my word is rule, and I say make them want to build a bigger arena next time." Natsu pumps his in fist in the air, giving a huge grin, showing his fangs. "Alright! I'm all fired up now!" Grey shakes his head at the level of stupidity he believes Natsu possesses. "Oh, brother," he mutters. Natsu looks to Laxus," I just hope thunder-skull here doesn't blow it up first!" Laxus gives him a little grin. "Not making any promises," he says. Sasuke stares intently at the group. "This will be interesting to watch." Naruto looks to him. "Believe it," he replies.
