The seasons change, and it's time to post again! After that last chapter, you kinda have to give one to Natsu, so thats what I plan for this one. Since Wendy has some new skills, the other characters have to too, right? Also, I don't think I've mentioned this before, but in this series, Lucy is a perv, as you will see soon. Anyway, time to write!
Chapter 6- Dragneel Inferno
And so it went, each member of Fairy Tail showing off their abilities. "Wow," Naruto says." I never knew someone could be so powerful without knowing any jutsu." Sakura nods. "They're really something, aren't they?" Sasuke gives a little grin. "Especially that sky dragonslayer, Wendy. She's actually kind of cute." Both Naruto and Sakura's jaws drop to the floor. "What?!" they say in unison, Naruto out of surprise that Sasuke has feelings for someone, and Sakura out of envy. Sasuke nods. "Truthfully, I wouldn't mind-" Before he can finish his sentence, Natsu jumps over the back of the chair landing in front of the ninja trio. "THAT'S IT! ONE MORE WORD AND I'LL BURN YOU TO A CRISP, YOU GOT THAT!" Sasuke laughs. "Tough talk, for someone with pink hair and motion sickness" he retorts. "Your abilities are most likely just as weak as your stomach. I haven't seen what you can do, but I'm sure it's nothing spectacular. On the other hand, I might just want to go have a talk with that Wendy girl later." Sasuke finishes with a smirk. A literal fire ignites in Natsu's eyes. "Why you little-" Natsu swings his hand, but less than a millimeter away from Sasuke's face, it's stopped by lady Tsunade's voice. "And for the last of the Fairy Tail members, Natsu Dragneel, please step onto the arena." Natsu, still seething, lowers his arm. "You don't know how lucky you are, kid," he tells Sasuke as he turns and starts walking down the stairs to the arena. Tsunade calls once more. "The score to beat is 53, set by Erza Scarlet. Show us what you can do, Natsu."
The fire mage begins his trek down the steps to the lacrima. Passing by Wendy, he leans down to whisper into her ear. "I'm gonna do it." The sky maiden's eyes grow wide. "You don't mean the-" Natsu cuts her off. "Yeah. I know it hasn't worked yet, but I've got something to prove. I'm all fired up." he says and continues his walk. When he gets to the lacrima, he turns his head just enough to make eye contact with a still-smirking Sasuke. Letting his rage fuel him, he holds out his right hand with three fingers spread apart. One by one, they ignite. From the first finger, a red flame comes forth. From the second, a black godslayer fire, and from the third, sparks of Laxus' lightning. Suddenly, the three colors begin to spread, slowly enveloping his arm and continuing. Natsu touches his hands together, allowing the same process to begin on his left arm. Parting his hands, a rotating ball of lightning, godslayer fire, and dragonslayer fire forms in the space. Without warning, Natsu jumps, climbing up the lacrima for a higher point of launch.
The pink haired mage then leaps an astounding twenty feet in the air. Reaching his apex, he turns upside down and sends his body into a spinning plummet. About ten feet to the ground, Natsu mentally forces all the flame from his arms into the ball and condenses it into a sphere about three inches in diameter. As he touches the lacrima, he sends his arm forward, allowing the ball of flame and lightning to touch the lacrima first. After touching the lacrima, he uses his hand to push off, landing on the ground on his feet. For a few agonizing seconds, nothing happens. Natsu turns to look at Sasuke, who is sitting back in his chair, laughing silently. Seeing Natsu staring at him, Sasuke smirks. Natsu grins, causing Sasuke to stop laughing. Erza sighs. "He failed. That idiot actually tried to use that spell. It is never safe to use a spell you have created when you have had no actual
experience creating spells. Not even I would do something like that, and I love a good challenge." Cana smiles. "You gotta admit though. He's got guts. He actually tried to use a spell he invented, and didn't die." Wendy laughs. "He actually did it. He made that spell work." Erza and Cana both look at the sky maiden. "What are you talking about? Nothing happened. He completely fai-"Before either can do anything, the world explodes. The two types of fire and the lightning locked inside the sphere spread through the arena like the ground was made of dead leaves. Erza and Cana gasp. "This power! I've never seen anything like it before. Even when I witnessed Master's fairy law, I don't think it radiated such immense strength." Cana can say nothing as her jaw is hanging so low, it would be virtually impossible to say anything even if she could contemplate the words. Even Tsunade had to stand to give Natsu's spell full respect. "Is this really the power of Fairy Tail?" she questions herself. The heat is so intense, Juvia, who opted to sit in the back, begins to steam. She looks down to see her robe bubbling as the heat from the fire begins to boil it. "Hmm. That's never happened before." she says. Laxus silently approves Natsu. "I guess he has gotten a little stronger."
As soon as the chaos dies down, the image from the lacrima appears. The numbers 9999 flicker for a second, but moments later, the entire lacrima turns to ash. An extended moment of silence passes as the spectators realize that Natsu had just broke the lacrima. From the hokage's box, the sound of applause is heard. Randomly, other hands begin to clap until the whole arena is alive with the sound of applause. Natsu begins to walk back up the stairs. As he nears Wendy, she jumps up and hugs him. "You did it, Natsu! I knew you could pull it off." Natsu hugs her back, and decides not to go back over to Sasuke and the ninja with him. Tsunade waits for the noise to die down. "Hidden Leaf Village" she begins. "I promised you allies, and we gave you allies. Every one of these Fairy Tail members managed to surpass my score on the lacrima ranking system. Natsu Dragneel even managed to destroy the lacrima. It had no score high enough to rank him. These Fairy Tail members will be our aid in the inevitable war with the Chaos village." Back in the stands. Sasuke is so pale, one without trained eyes would most likely have mistook him as a ghost. Naruto laughs. "Hey, Sakura," he says. She looks at him. "What is it?" she asks. Naruto looks back at Sasuke. "I don't think you have to worry about losing Sasuke anytime soon." he says. Sakura gives him a questioning look. "Why's that?" Naruto continues to laugh his head off. "Because, if he went after Wendy, Natsu would kill him!"
