Payback
Now it's time for a small little payback tribute for making me and Kim here join the Host Club. Obviously this was going to happen sooner or later, so I'm taking advantage of the snakes for this occasion.
"Okay," I whispered. "You know the plan...now go." Kim, playing the piano, doesn't care what I'm doing right now, so long as she doesn't have to move. As Romeo slithered off my arm and his heavy body slapped to the floor. The room was empty, though. No one would notice until it was too late. Just as my reptile friend had slithered into his hiding spot—a nice looking plant on the side. all the tropical decorations were gone, the door opened. I was already pretending to dig in my bag for my folder.
"Hi, Kasu-chan, Kimmy-chan!" Cheered Honey; and as always, he was on Takashi's shoulders. Takashi nodded hello.
"Hi, Honey," we said, smiling. "How's it going?"
"Really, really fun!" he said, smiling like a child.
"Hey, Kasumi, hey Kim" came two other voices. Hikaru and Kaoru walked in with all their orange-haired glory.
"Hi, you two, we said at the same time." This continued on until all the Host Club members were here except Haruhi—who had something to pick up and would be back soon.
"So?" I asked. "What's happening today?"
Kyoya looked up from his clipboard, obviously sensing something about the way I was purposely acting. Smiling knowingly, I ushered him to go on. "We're planning the next costume theme," he said, masking the cautiousness in his voice. "Why?"
"Oh, no reason," I said like an innocent child.
"Wha-?" said Hikaru, confused.
Kaoru narrowed his eyes. "Hey...what are you—AHHH!" Kaoru didn't notice Romeo slithering quietly up to him until he was twisted around his legs. Kaoru went pale and stood very...very...still.
"Kaoru!" cried Hikaru. He tried to grab at Romeo, but flinched as the snake hissed at his fingers. Hikaru backed away.
"AHH!" Kaoru was yelling. "GET HIM OFF!" He was flaunting around while trying not to anger Romeo.
"Oops," I said loudly, "I guess we forgot to send Romeo back..." Making it seem it was a total accident, Kyoya sighed. I made clicking sounds with my tongue, and Romeo slithered off of Kaoru and to me. "That's a good boy," I said, rubbing his head. The anaconda hissed pleasantly. I suddenly glared up at the twins and Tamaki—my evil-doers. Takashi and Honey weren't part of the initial scheme. I'd scare Kyoya...but he's not as easily scared as Tamaki and the Hitachiin twins. "Sick 'em, Romeo," I ordered, smirking. All three boys turned pale and began running around the room, trying to get away from the giant snake. Romeo chased them around for at least ten minutes. I took a picture of their ridiculous chase while Kim was laughing hysterically and rolling on the floor. I knew it was hurting her but she couldn't stop laughing.
"Is this payback?" asked Kyoya, amusingly observing the unusual game of tag. I smiled, but said nothing.
Remembering something, I whipped my head quickly to look at him directly. "Hey, we forgot to tell you," I said, loud enough so that the three running boys could hear, "we've gotta be somewhere today, so we can't stay!" Kim took that as a sign to leave and started walking over to me while can't stop smiling from laughing. As Kim and I walked to the door, Romeo stopped chasing the boys around the room and slithered up to me. He twisted and turned around my arm and the three of us walked out of the room—a picture of excellent blackmail in my bag. Before we could leave, though, Haruhi came in through the door. The boys were still running away from an already gone anaconda.
Looking from Tamaki, Hikaru and Kaoru to me to the anaconda on my shoulders, Haruhi said, "Do I want to know what's going on?"
Smiling brightly, I said, "Nope!" As we started our way back home, I kissed Romeo on the nose. "You're the best Romeo there is."
