Kim
When I saw Kasumi walking off with her face red and all, I was still scattered about Kaoru and what he thought of me wearing a swimsuit. I'm not that brave to put one on willingly, but Kasumi found a way to have me do this at least once.
"K-Kim," Kaoru stuttered. "You look good," shy as he spoke, he had his hand behind his head and didn't make eye contact. He was completely red in the face.
"T-thank you," I stuttered.
It was so awkward between us that I didn't know what to do from here other than feel my ears burn and my hands sweat. I was more than thankful that Honey-sempai came along and broke the silence.
"Kimmy-chan you look cute," he says. "That one piece really looks nice on you!"
He came up wearing a small pink inner tube around his waist that had Usa-chan prints on it and smiled childishly. He looked really adorable now that I think about it.
"You look really cute Honey-sempai," I say. "But are you not able to swim," I asked.
"Mm, I can swim," he skipped a few steps away, "It's just cuter this way," he said merrily as he went to the wave pool.
"Really," I chuckled. "M-Mori-sempai," nervous, it's been a little while since coming out of the hospital and I wanted to try saying his name everyone calls him.
"Yes," he answered.
"May I join you at the wave pool to watch?" I asked. Feeling happy he answered and all, he nodded stiffly and I felt relieved. "Thank you," I say.
Walking along side him and at the wave pool, Kasumi was furiously swimming against the current with Honey-sempai on top her back.
"Look Takeshi," Honey called out. "We're at top speed and not going anywhere!" Cheerful as can be as Kasumi was most likely doing this to calm her heart, I giggled. "Come on in Kimmy-chan," he called out again.
Nerves of fear and whatnot shivered my spine and I shook my head.
"Aw, why not? The water feels so nice," he says.
"I don't do…water…" glaring at the pool itself, I was only capable of having my feet in water and tolerating it. That and showers…that's about it.
"Can you swim," he asked.
"….I don't require to know how," I said smugly. "Water is the devils work," I mumbled.
"That so," Honey tilted his head and Kasumi began to slow down to come to shore. "Tired Kasu-chan," he asked her.
"No, just wanting to race Takeshi," she challenged. Her eyes looking up to him and him back to her, the challenge was accepted. "You ready to take me on against this current," she says.
"Mm," he agreed.
Now I know Kasumi to be a little competitive when she's trying to cool down or think deeply. This time though she's really trying to rid a lot of things going on in her mind right now. She's been distant a few times from everyone I noticed since returning and I think it's because of what happened that night at my house. She called Kyoya of who she makes him out to be a kind of enemy, yet she called on him to help her. She's probably hating that she fell to that level to ask for someone else's help, but I'm grateful she did. I've talked to Kyoya about it and he says its nothing, but something occurred to me in his tone that he wants Kasumi and him to be on better terms? No maybe he wants to just…DAMN he's so hard to read!
"Whoa," Honey gasped.
Paying attention to the race I found Kasumi swimming neck to neck with Mori-sempai on an even level. Now this was something Honey-sempai was not expecting because he couldn't tear his eyes away from the scene.
"I've never seen anyone swim against Takeshi before," he says. "Kasu-chan is really good," he says.
"….hey Honey-sempai," he turned to face me. "Do either of you know of her background," I asked.
I've always had this strange feeling that the two of them know more than they let off. Call it intuition to the extreme.
"Whatever do you mean," he smiled knowingly and I knew it.
"Can I take that as only you and Mori-sempai know of her placement," I started, "or does everyone know," I asked.
"Only me and Takeshi, as well as Kyo-chan, know of Kasu-chan. The others don't know anything about her standing," he said.
"….I see," I say. "You must have been one of the aristocrats that knew of the Matsumoto family then."
His eyes widened for a moment before he glanced at me.
"Thank you for not saying anything to the others about her past…"
"Sure thing," he smiled.
"KIM, HONEY-SEMPAI, LOOK OUT!" Yelled Tamaki and the twins fervently.
"Why," we both asked.
Looking at them and seeing their faces, I heard a deep rumbling sound and turned back to Kasumi and Mori-sempai and saw the wave pool become a large wave! Kasumi and Mori-sempai didn't have a chance to swim to us and I watched as Mori-sempai covered her and got swept away by the wave.
"KASUMI," I cried out.
