The situation was grim. The Arks were clearly worried about this large a crowd rushing inside. Eve estimated the crowd had over 50,000 people, They were given a chance to leave, but most had nowhere to go. They would freeze to death in 81 days, or starve before then. That night Eve heard people tell their stories. Some had been here on April 1st, when nerve gas and bullets were sprayed into the crowd. After it was over the Arks actually took in some survivors. If these stories were true, the logic was they couldn't take in everybody, but could thin out the herd before taking in some. Eve had serious doubts about these stories, but it still seemed like her best chance to survive.
It wasn't long after 2/4 that many people became addicted to sleeping pills. They needed them just to get some sleep. Eve didn't use them, she slept the hard way. Sleeping next to others helped,even tinight. Nights like this, when danger could come at any moment, she was always half-awake. Eve managed to rest a little. When she woke up, someone said it was a little after 3am. After midnight, now May 1st 2036. It was hard to believe that less than one month ago she'd held her baby in her arms, slept next to her husband. Now they were gone. Even if she got into the Ark, it was unlikely that Hope was in this particular Ark. Eve hoped her child had a long and happy life, but she would never see her again. Now, Eve had to survive as best she could. With 80 days until impact, just getting through the day was becoming harder and harder.
