A couple of weeks later, Charity and AJ were released from the hospital. Tony carried AJ in his car seat with one arm and had the other securely wrapped around his wife's waist. They quickly reached their car. Tony opened Charity's door for her and then opened the back door and put AJ's car seat in the back and fastened it in securely.

Tony hopped in the driver's side and started the car. He carefully pulled out of the parking lot of the hospital, being extra cautious with the young baby in the backseat. Charity reached a hand over and patted Tony's knee. Tony took a hand off the wheel and gently grabbed her hand. His pulled it to his lips and gave her a gentle kiss.

"I love you, Tony." Charity told him.

"I love you, too Charity." Tony replied, a gentle smile on his face.

A while later, they were pulling into the parking lot outside their apartment building. Charity was climbing out, while Tony got AJ out of the back. "I just wish we would have had more time to get the nursery ready." Charity said, as they road the elevator up to their floor.

"Oh...your dad and I already took care of that." Tony replied.

Charity looked up at him. "But we didn't have a crib...or anything."

"We do now." Tony replied, a playful smile on his face.

Charity looked at him suspiciously. "What..."

"You're about to find out."

The elevator doors opened and they stepped out and walked to their front door. Tony unlocked the door and they walked inside. Charity headed towards where the spare room had been. She opened the door and a huge smile instantly spread across her face. A hand made wooden crib sat against the back wall, a changing table against the right wall, a small dresser at the front wall next to the closet, and a wooden rocking chair in the corner.

Charity walked over to the rocking chair and ran her hand over it. A tear escaped the corner of her eye as she recognized the chair. She closed her eyes and she could see her mother sitting in that chair, holding her and reading her a bedtime story...or her mother sitting holding Kelly as a baby.

"You like it then?" Tony asked, walking into the room, AJ in his arms.

Charity looked back at him with a smile. "Yeah. I can't believe you and Dad did all this."

"Well...I more or less just helped get the furniture set up. Your dad is the one that built it all." Tony replied.

Charity looked more closely at the furniture. She saw that the dresser had been hers when she was a girl, built by her father, just as the rocking chair was. The only thing that was new was the crib, but she could see her father's care and craftsmanship in every curve and line. A smile came to her face as she pictured him slaving away in the basement over that crib, carving it, sanding it, assembling it, and staining it. She also pictured him thinking of his grandchild and being excited.

"I should have known that he would want to do this." Charity said, smiling. "It's just like him."

Tony heard AJ cooing and looked down at his son. His face scrunched up slightly and then began making a face like he was sucking something. Then he started crying. "I think somebody's hungry."

"I think you're right." Charity replied, walking over to him and holding her arms out.

Tony handed the baby boy over and watched as Charity walked over to the rocking chair and sat down. She unbuttoned her shirt and repositioned AJ and began feeding him. A smile spread over Tony's face as he watched his wife with their son.

"Nothing more beautiful or perfect." He said.

Charity looked up at him and smiled. "I couldn't have done this without you."

Tony grinned. "You know...I don't think I quite pictured this when I first met you."

Charity laughed. "What? You couldn't imagine marrying me and having a baby boy with me when I was arguing with you over jurisdiction on a case?"

"Well...you know... I was able to imagine the sex and how good it would be...my little firecracker." Tony said with a grin.

Charity giggled. "Of course you could think about that."

Tony walked over to her and bent down and kissed the top of her head. "It turned out better than I imagined and there's not a thing I would change."

"Good."

Just then there was a knock at the door. "I'll go and see who it is." Tony said, kissing her again.

Tony walked out of the nursery and closed the door behind him. He then walked to the front of the apartment and opened the door. "Junior!" Senior exclaimed and pulled his son into his arms for a hug.

"Hey dad." Tony said, surprised.

Senior broke the hug. "I've got a surprise for you." He then stepped aside to reveal Bernie.

"Tony!"

"Bernie!" Tony replied. They shared a bro hug. "What are you doing here?" Tony asked when they pulled apart.

"I came here to meet the new little DiNozzo man." Bernie answered with a grin.

Tony stepped aside to allow their entrance and then closed the door behind them.

"So, where is the little slugger and that gorgeous wife of yours?" Bernie asked.

"In the nursery. Charity's feeding him." Tony answered.

Just then they heard the sound of the door to the nursery clicking shut. Charity soon entered the room, holding a tiny blue bundle in her arms. She looked at Senior and Bernie. "Oh no...I'm surrounded by charm." She said with a grin. "AJ, I think we should have stayed in the nursery."

Bernie walked over to Charity and gave her a hug around AJ and kissed her cheek. "Ah, you know you love it when we come over, Gorgeous."

"Maybe a little." Charity conceded, her cheeks reddening slightly.

"Now, let me have a look at the newest addition to the DiNozzo clan." Bernie said.

Charity gently passed AJ over to Bernie. "Support his head." Charity said.

Bernie looked down at the baby he was holding. AJ opened his eyes slightly and cooed. Bernie grinned. "He's got your eyes, Charity."

Charity smiled.

Bernie looked more closely at AJ. "Alright little man, I may actually be your cousin, but you can just call me Uncle Bernie, I'm close enough to your dad for that. Also, I know your dad has probably told you he's going to teach you everything he knows about women, but I taught him everything he knows, but not everything I know. I'll pass all those secrets on to you."

"Oh no you don't." Charity said. "Don't start talking about my son having anything to do with little girls."

"It's DiNozzo tradition." Tony said. Then he walked over to Bernie. "And I think I know more than you do about women Bernie."

"Where's your proof?" Bernie asked.

Tony pointed to Charity and then to his wedding ring.

"Okay, good point." Bernie replied.

AJ began to cry and fuss in Bernie's arms. "What am I doing wrong?" He asked.

Charity looked at him. "Nothing. He probably just needs a diaper change."

"Ewe, I'll let you handle that." Bernie said, passing AJ back to his mother.

Charity laughed and shook her head. "Men, you're all big and tough till a baby poops."
