Kim

Not only did I see Kasumi bolt for her life, Haruhi and I noticed Kyoya being here. Being spotted and coming towards us, he looked rather disheveled and without anything on him. Wallet and phone is where I'm coming from.

"Kim, Haruhi," he spoke, "how much money do you two have on you?" He asked.

"Well that depends Kyoya," I say. "Why are you asking?" I asked.

"….." he pulled out his pockets and showed us both he was brought here without a wallet and no phone. I was right. Seemingly pissed off at this and wondering as to how he got here in the first place, I thought of the way Kasumi acted and it made me grasp the situation here. Kyoya and Kasumi are steady now…but Kasumi probably has a bit of troubles to solve and too embarrassed to be near him now. Oh how I wish I could do something in this situation but—wait, I can!

"Kyoya," I smiled sweetly and he seemed troubled. "I seem to have lost Kasumi while Haruhi and I were off doing something else. Perhaps you could go and find her for us? She has our money as well and it's such a bother trying to look for her in this crowd."
Haruhi seemed perplexed by this and I gave her a single look not to say anything otherwise to my plot and she played along.

"Mm," she nodded. "It would be helpful Kyoya-senpai." She said.

"….Kasumi," he uttered her name and looked hopeful seeing her here and I had an image in my head of reeling my line in like a fish. "Sure," he said. "You two can enjoy the sights while I go and look for her." He said.

"Thank you Kyoya," I say. He walked away from us and I turned to Haruhi. "I want those two to be closer than they are now. It'll help in the future…that's what my gut tells me."

"So you are playing the match making game?" Haruhi asked.

"In a sense," smiling and browsing the sights, Haruhi sighed.

"Is it really necessary to do this though for Kasumi? It looks like she has enough problems to deal with…"

"You have no idea," I sighed myself and looked up. "But Kyoya is actually a good thing for her and she needs him around. She's locked herself up for far too long and needs to get out of the box she held herself in. I'm hoping with Kyoya he can be the person to do just that."

"You almost sound like Kaoru and Hikaru," she mused.

"Yeah," I questioned. "Perhaps we have the same views for those we care about." I say to her.

"Maybe," she answered. "Well since he is tracking Kasumi down, want to grab something to eat?" She asked.

"Sure!" Cheerfully going through the expo and finding a Wacdonald's nearby and ordering the food, I wondered and wondered of how Kasumi is taking all this in. Her heart is either running wild with emotions or she's desperately trying to get her mind to focus and failing at it completely.

Kasumi

Why is it everywhere I go he seems to be right there! I go to the next floor, he seems to be there looking! I go back down and he is down there as well! Kyoya is either a secret ninja who knows how to duplicate himself or I have officially lost my mind!
"I need to sit," I gasped. My lungs aching for oxygen and taking a seat on the bench, I looked down and leaned over to breathe when something cold pressed on my neck. "Kim," I questioned. Looking up to see no Kim but a guy standing in front of me, he seemed like a nice kid.

"You ok," he asked.

"…yeah," I answered.

"I saw you running around from my stand there and thought you might be thirsty." Holding the drink for me and pointing to his stand of Kimono's and masks', I graciously accepted the cool drink. "Are you running from someone?" He asked.

"….well…." actually I have no idea why I would in the first place. Kyoya and I like each other and confirmed that at the dance. It's just my mind and heart are at a great battle with one another and I can't cope with it. "It's complicated," I say.

"Well take it easy alright, I wouldn't want a pretty girl like you to pass out from running." He smiled. Being a sweet kid and returning to his stall across the way, I did calm down thanks to him and dropped my guard for a moment.

"I wonder who that was," said a cool voice I didn't bother registering.

"Dunno, but the drink was a nice gesture." I say. "Wait…." I turned to the voice and saw Kyoya looking at me with his unchanging expression. "Kyoya…"

"…." He leaned down and sat beside me, close. "What have you been doing to get a stranger to buy you a drink?"

"….." my heart is going a million miles an hour!

"Kasumi," he whispered my name and looked at me a certain way before I looked away. "I see," he chuckled. "Still can't handle this," his hand pressed on my knee and I looked at him to retort his action when he kissed me! "You think too much," he told me.

"…that was sneaky…" I muttered. He continued to show his affection to me out in public before I couldn't handle it anymore and confessed I was running from him. Guess he knew something was wrong and wanted me to spill, but to do it the way he did was just sneaky and downright…something I would do.

"Are you still uncertain of our standing?" He asked me. "My father was more than accepting of our relationship when I told him of you." He said.

"Wait," I turned to him shocked. "You already told your father of me?" I asked quickly.

"Of course," he smiled genuinely. "My father was actually very pleased that I had found someone who can surpass my brother's wives." He mused.

"…..I surpass their wives?" I asked. He nodded and took my hand in his and kissed it gently.

"I found a good woman, and that is something I did not have to lie or put on airs about for my father." He said proudly. "And what concerns you?" He asked.

"…." I felt so guilty thinking too much of the past and smiled when he told me this. "Honestly speaking, stupid things from my past I should leave behind." I laughed quietly. "I tend to over think things that shouldn't be of concern to me any longer. Old habits die hard though." I say.

"Perhaps we should forget in finding Kim and Haruhi for the moment and enjoy this strange expo of sorts?" He suggested.

"You, at a commoner's expo," thinking how this would look, it was actually quite amusing to imagine. "Why not…"

"You thought of something funny?" He asked. I got up from the bench and smiled at him when he too got up and held my hand.

"Just thinking that this may not be a bad day to try and have a date." I say to him.

"A date is it," he seemed happy saying it and showed only the slightest of emotion of the notion before leading me around. "A fine inquiry that is," he said coolly.

"Using smart words will get you nowhere with me," leaning against him and walking around, perhaps I should be thanking Kim for getting me to realize this feeling sooner. Kyoya would never harm me like 'he' did. They are two different people and I should never have compared the two. "Let's make this a fun day!" I say cheerfully.

"Yes," he nodded.

This summer break turned out to be pretty fun compared to years I've been with Kim and the world I left behind. There was nothing stopping me and I shouldn't be over thinking such things in the first place. When I get home tonight I will for sure thank Kim and tell her Kyoya and I are officially a couple.
