A couple of days later, Tony was packing up the car, while Charity was getting AJ ready. "Are you ready to go meet your great grandpa?" She spoke to him as she pulled a yellow sleeper with a lion on it on him. She kissed his forehead and cheeks as she snapped the sleeper closed. She then picked him up and laid him down in his crib, while she checked the diaper bag to make sure she had the immediate supplies packed for whenever they stopped along the way.

"Plenty of diapers, wipes, spare clothes, burp rags…" She muttered as she rummaged through the bag. Once she was satisfied that she had everything in that bag, she slung it over her shoulder and returned to the crib. She picked AJ up. "And my handsome little baby boy." She said, her tone playful as she spoke as if her were another item on the list. She then kissed him once again.

AJ cooed in her arms and his hands flailed about. "Are you both ready?" Tony asked, smiling at his wife and son.

"I believe so." Charity answered.

They left the nursery and headed out to the living room. Charity put AJ in his car seat and strapped him in. Tony picked up the car seat with one hand and then wrapped his free arm around his wife. They exited their apartment and locked up and rode the elevator down. Charity secured AJ's car seat in the back and kissed his forehead before climbing in the front of the car.

Tony hopped in the driver's side and put the car in gear. They were soon out on the road, Tony having one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding Charity's hand. Charity couldn't help but to feel a bit excited about going to Stillwater to visit her grandfather. "You seem extra happy." Tony teased.

"I'm just excited to see Pappy again." Charity replied. "And for him to meet AJ."

Tony smiled. He wasn't too particularly excited about seeing Jackson Gibbs. Tony just felt like the man didn't quite approve of him, but he was willing to do anything to make Charity happy. He also had to admit that getting away for a while sounded nice. He brought Charity's hand to his lips and placed a kiss on the back of it.

Charity smiled, never getting enough of Tony's affections. It wasn't long before AJ was crying, alerting them to the fact that they needed to find a place to stop so he could eat. They ended up stopping several more times along the way, feeding or changing AJ, or stopping for their own needs. They were soon arriving at Stillwater.

"Turn right up ahead and that will take us to the store." Charity said.

"Why do we need to go to the store?" Tony inquired. "I thought we had everything."

"We do have everything." Charity replied. "Pappy will be at the store right now. He won't close it up for another hour."

"Your grandfather still works?" Tony asked, surprised.

"He owns and runs the general store here." Charity replied.

"Really?" Tony was once again surprised.

Charity nodded. "Yes, that's where my first job was, too."

"Nepotism." Tony said with a teasing grin, as he turned the car.

They were soon parking in front of the store and climbing out of the car. Tony unfastened the car seat and carried it with one hand, while holding Charity's with the other. They walked in the door of the store, the bells jingling. Charity looked over at the counter and saw her grandfather standing behind the counter, sweeping up. He looked up at the sound of the bells and a huge smile came across his face.

"Short stack!" He said, excitedly.

Charity grinned. "Hi, Pappy." She replied, letting go of Tony's hand and walking closer.

Jacksin stepped out from behind the counter and met his granddaughter in the middle for a hug. "This is a wonderful surprise." He said, pulling back to look at Charity.

"Well, someone wanted to meet you." Charity answered.

Tony was then walking over and setting the car seat down on the counter. "We thought you might like to meet AJ." Tony said, as he pulled the blanket off and unfastened the straps that held AJ in.

Jackson's smiled grew. "My goodness, he looks like he's grown so much since those pictures you and your father have sent me." He observed.

"Oh, yes. He's a very healthy little boy." Charity agreed. "He loves to eat, just like his father."

Tony grinned. "There are two things we DiNozzo men love, and one of them is food."

"And what's the other?" Charity asked, her tone teasing.

"Beautiful women." Tony answered, giving Charity a kiss on the forehead.

Jackson smiled, happy to see his granddaughter with someone who loved her and made her happy. He then turned his attention to his great grandson. "Alright, now let me have that baby." He said, putting his cane aside.

Tony and Charity both laughed as Tony passed AJ over to Jackson. "Somebody is excited." Charity teased.

Jackson smiled. "He's a very handsome little guy. Of course, with you two as parents, he was bound to come out handsome."

"Well, I like to think he's rather handsome." Charity replied.

AJ then started to fuss. "I think someone is hungry." Jackson said.

"This boy does nothing but eat." Charity said holding her arms open and taking her son. "I'll take him in the back. You still have that chair back there?"

"Yeah." Jackson answered.

Charity gave Tony and her grandpa both kisses on the cheek before heading to the back of the store. That left Tony and Jackson alone. "So...?" Tony said not sure of how else to begin.

Jackson smiled. "You seem a bit nervous, Tony."

"What? Me, no." Tony replied.

Jackson chuckled. "You think I don't like you." He observed.

"Well...I know I probably couldn't have made a very good first impression on you, when you came for that surprise visit." Tony replied.

"You mean that day when I came over and I heard my granddaughter laughing and saw her smiling happily?" Jackson replied. "I haven't seen Charity this happy in a long time. Anyone who makes her this happy and treats her right is a good man in my book."

Tony breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm glad you feel that way."

The bells at the door jingled then, signaling that someone new was entering the building. "Ah, Edna, how are you doing?" Jackson greeted, the elderly woman that entered the store.

The woman smiled back. "I am good. How are you Jack?"

"Alright." Jackson replied.

Charity came out of the back room, cradling AJ in her arms. "My goodness, that couldn't be little Charity?" Edna asked.

Charity looked up and smiled at the woman. "Well, hello Mrs, Hawkins. How are you doing?"

"I am alright. I see you're doing well. Is that your baby?" Edna asked.

Charity nodded. "My little AJ. And this is my husband, Tony." she said.

"Jack, how could you not tell me your granddaughter got married and had a baby?" Edna asked.

"It must have slipped my mind to mention it." Jackson replied, though that wasn't true. He had mentioned it several times, bragging about it all over town. Poor Edna was having some memory problems.

Edna stayed for a few more moments, she did her shopping and visited with Charity and played with AJ a bit before leaving. "Why don't you two kids go to the house and get settled? I'll be home in a bit." Jackson suggested. "I am sure you're ready to rest a bit."

"Okay, Pappy." Charity agreed, as she took the keys from him and kissing his cheek. Then she, Tony, and AJ headed to Jackson's house to get settled in for their stay.
