One Year Later

"There was a time when even I thought that this whole mess would be nothing but a dream," Kim spoke cheerily. "I still can't believe everything is good with the chairman for us to continue our courses next year."

"My father is a forgiving man, it wasn't likely he would discharge you two since you are one of the few to come to Ouran through scholarship."

"Hey," Haruhi overheard and Tamaki corrected himself.

"But of course Haruhi you are the first! I just meant—" she laughed to his dilemma and he was tormented on being picked on.

"I know what you meant Tamaki-senpai," she giggled. "Kim, are we going to have dinner here as well?" She asked.

"Of course," Kim cheered. "At least two courses a day here through the week and weekends can be just for visiting." She says. "You never know when she'll wake up and feel the urge to eat."

"Your right," Haruhi smiled and laughed quietly.

"Shall we begin then," hearing Honey and the clang of silverware on plates, they had a peaceful conversation going on. "So what would you like to do for Kasu-chan's birthday Kimmy-chan," Honey asked.

"….I don't know," she admitted. "I would like for her to wake up so I can tell her all that's happened."

"You mean about you taking control in her stead for the company?" Honey asked.

"Mm…" hearing her take a bite of something, another voice cut in.

"The system network Kasumi rewrote has improved the manufacturers considerably. I haven't seen a rise in the stock market for quite some time." Kyoya spoke.

"She's always been gifted with knowing the rise and fall of her competitors…I'm really amazed she managed to fix everything Zen did in as little as 24 hours. But assuming she did make that call about the company belonging to her and going back to it…I can only do so much."

"Her voice recognition pass code was indeed a good set-up on her part…but who knew it would turn out this way." Kyoya spoke with great enthusiasm to Kasumi's work.

"I'm glad the coworkers who worked for her cared enough to go back and see if she was alright. If not for them she wouldn't be here right now…" Kim spoke sadly.

"She's a fighter, I have to give her that much," Tamaki says. "No woman is more spirited in fighting for her friends than her as far as I can see."

"A praise coming from the buffoon," Kim chuckled. "She would be stunned hearing that from you Tamaki."

"I thought it was a rather good compliment," he spoke up.

"It is thank you." Kim chuckled. "We just have to be patient and wait for her to wake up…"

"….."

Knocking heard on the door, someone came in and disrupted their gathering.
"Visiting hours are closing now, I must ask you to wrap it up in a minute." A woman said.

"Thank you," Kim clapped her hands together. "Well that's it for dinner tonight. Thanks again for extending the time frame for us Kyoya, it helped."

"Anything to make the atmosphere here better for her," He said whimsically.

"Well as it stands I have to go back to the company and finish a few things. I leave everything to you guys."

"We'll clean up from here," Takeshi said.
The door closed.

"Kasu-chan sure looks peaceful when she sleeps." Honey spoke.

"Mm," Takeshi nodded.

"We can only wait till she wakes…there's nothing else we can do other than be here for her." Tamaki says. "I got the rest, let's go everyone."

"Yes boss," the twins chimed.
The door closed again, but someone was left in the room.

"….I do hope you wake soon," Kyoya spoke. "It will be midnight soon…I'll be the first to tell you happy birthday."

A hand swept through my hair and got it off my face as a gentle touch caressed me. A gong chimed softly in a corner of the room and I could feel a warm touch on my forehead being a kiss.
"Happy 18th birthday Kasumi…"

"….." his hand was slowly moving away and I felt a cloth beside my fingers and took tight rein on it. He stopped and leaned back down to my face where his breathing encased my ears. I think I was slowly opening my eyes and finding everything blurry at first, but getting clearer as the seconds went by when his face was the first thing I saw. "Is that all I get," I say meekly.
He wrapped his arms tightly around me and held onto my frame like I was about to vanish when his voice whispered in my ear of a miracle happening.
"I don't know about miracles…" I began softly. "But I do believe I get a present for my birthday," childishly asking for something in this situation, he pulled back and cupped my cheek and pulled me in to the deepest kiss I've ever felt.

"…welcome back," he smiled.

"^_^ I'm back," I say.

*****

This night after waking up I don't think my life was ever the same afterwards. Not only did I return to the world I left behind, but I gained someone who would rather go the distance of saving me rather than possess me. Kim stuck with me through more trouble than I thought of bringing her into, and it was amazing how much she helped me and the company during my absence. Starting the new year in a new limelight now, I had to admit that Ouran Academy had become a treasure for me in more ways than one. To think it all started by opening the door to Music Room 3.

At Ouran Academy, we take pride in nurturing the rich and the wealthy into our programs. For the host club, we make it our personal goal to make all woman who enter our doors the happiest they can become. We hope you have enjoyed your stay with us and we shall dearly miss you…our princess.
