Troy.
I carefully put Sky back on the ground and she squealed when her bare feet touched the cool ocean water. She was laughing and it was a laugh that filled me with warmth. I hadn't felt like this in a long time. She smiled up at me, her eyes the colour of the water we were stood in. That was when she grabbed my hand and pulled me further into the water. We both gasped as the cool water got further and further up our bodies. Soon the water was chest-high on Sky's petite frame.
She stopped. 'This wasn't my best idea, it's so cold!'
I laughed, moving closer to her to keep us both warmer. I had really been wanting to kiss her again. I had wanted to when she declared were were racing to the water. Not that I minded her stripping to her bikini; it was a very nice sight. I dipped down and kissed her, one hand resting on her cheek and the other resting on her waist. She returned the kiss and I longed for her to be closer. I grabbed the back of her thighs and pulled her so her thighs were wrapped around my waist as she kissed me. She pulled away, breathless.
'You're... strong.' She said between breaths. Her hands touched my bare chest.
'Mmhmm.' I smiled, kissing her again.

We spent the day splashing around in the water and we had a picnic for lunch. Troy and I finished off our water as we sat on the rocks, drying ourselves in the warm sunshine. He gently traced my tattoo with his finger and placed gently kisses over my opposite shoulder.
'Boss!'
We turned around to see Marcus on his feet, with Zed, who was staring at me, following closely behind.
'What is it?' Troy replied, his voice sounding irritated.
'There's a private boat on the other side of the island. It's quite close to the shore. We need to get back to the base.'
Troy looked at me, his eyes apologetic. He pulled his jeans back on and then his tank top. I followed his lead, covering myself back up. Looked like that was all over then.
We rushed back to the base as quickly as I could and it made me regret not wearing proper socks with my boots. Troy hadn't followed me back to his living quarters, he'd been taken elsewhere, so I sat on my bed with two of the books from the living room bookcase; Divergent. It seemed ironic, somewhat, when I was dressed like the main character and had tattoos. The other seemed an even stranger choice; Romeo and Juliet.
Why couldn't my life just be normal? I wanted to graduate college, get a normal job, get married and start a family. I sank into my goose-feather pillows and sighed.

Zed.
There was a knock on my door after dinner, which was highly unusual. Unless I was being called for work or meals, I didn't leave the room. I was even more surprised when I saw the chirpy girl with the black-bob stood there, the one who thought she knew me.
'You again.' I said as a greeting.
'Charming as always, Zed.' She replied, sarcastically. 'May I come in?'
I looked at her, feeling uncertain. 'Why?'
She looked up and down the busy corridor. 'This is important, we can't talk here.'
I moved aside and allowed her into my room, closing the door behind us. 'Jenni, right?'
She nodded. 'That's me. Can I sit down?'
'Sure.' I followed her to the sofa area. 'Now what is it?'
'Have you got your memory back yet?' She quizzed, looking at me cautiously.
'No, and I'm quite tired after following the boss around on his date all day.'
Her face fell. 'You went with Troy and Sky?'
'If you're referring to Miss Bright, then yes. I could have thought of better ways to spend my Saturday.'
'Are they... together?'
'I don't know and what does it matter if they are?'
'Oh, Zed.' She sighed. 'I wish you would remember.'
My mind slipped back to the vision I had experienced earlier on in the day. 'Is this about me and Sky?'
She tensed and looked at me with a glint of hope. 'You remember?'
'No,' I shook my head, frustrated. 'But I had a vision.'
'What happened?'
I looked at the girl in front of me and wondered if I could trust her. I wasn't so sure, but who could I trust in this place? I sighed. 'I was with... Sky. I don't know where we were, it was dark. She told me... she told me you had mentionned about us being soulfinders and said that maybe you were right... and I kissed her.'
Her mouth twitched into a smile and she pulled something out of her pocket. Her hand opened, revealing an expensive looking ring. 'This is the ring you gave her when you asked her to marry you.'
'Marry me? That's a bit soppy, isn't it?'
She raised an eyebrow. 'Sky made you soft from what I've heard. She brings out the best in you.'
'Why do you have it?'
'Troy kidnapped us. Me, you and Sky. He brought us here and now he's taken your memory and hers so that she can't remember she was going to marry you in August. Sky was trying to keep him happy so that he wouldn't hurt you but now... well it's all gone wrong.' Her eyes were sad. 'We were only planning your wedding a few weeks ago. She's bought the dress...'
'So why do you have the ring?' I repeated.
'Because she must have taken it off,' she explained, 'I found it on the dresser in her bedroom and I didn't want Troy to find it.'
'Why are you telling me all this?'
'Because I'm rooting for you and you're soulfinders. Sky might hate me right now, but she's my best friends and she was so happy. I want that Sky back. Not the brunette one with the superpowers and the brunette hair. Will you help me?'
'What do we need to do?'

Sky.
I must have fallen asleep because I had a wonderful dream. It was my wedding day and I was in the most beautiful white, lace dress. I was walking up the aisle and I saw my friends and family smiling at me as I passed. The groom turned to face me...
I woke up and sat up in bed, gasping for air. I hadn't seen the face of the groom and that disappointed me as I coughed and spluttered. I walked into the kitchen to get a drink, and found a lady with dark hair in there, cooking the dinner.
'Hello Miss Bright.' She smiled, warmly.
I looked at her, feeling confused. 'Hello.'
'Sir sent me in here to cook you some food, said you must be hungry after the long day you've had.'
'Where is he?'
'There's been some important news, so he is planning for the trip.'
'The trip?'
'The trip to the mainland.'
I stayed up late, waiting for Troy to get back. I was missing the television and the internet; I had no idea what was really going on the world. All I had for company were a pile of books. It was late when he came in and he closed the door carefully behind him. He said nothing. Instead, the hallway light turned off and he went to his bedroom. I, on the other hand, could not sleep. I left the living quarters, glad that whoever was on duty had disappeared for the night. I tucked my keycard into my t-shirt and pulled my leather jacket tightly around me as I headed up the corridor. I retraced my steps from earlier in the day, until I found the exit. Checking I wasn't being followed, I looked around the dimly-lit corridor and quietly climbed up the ladder, disappearing through the trapdoor. The first thing I saw was the beautiful night sky above me.
I sat on the cliff and pulled my knees up towards me, so that I could rest my chin on my knees. I could hear the ocean, slightly rougher than earlier on, as it crashed against the coastline. There was a howling in the distance. A gentle breeze carried my brunette girls. 'Why is life never simple?' I asked myself, with a sigh.
'I ask myself that all the time.'
The voice made me jump. I turned to see Zed's head sticking out of the top of the hatch I had climbed through.
'What are you doing here?' I whispered as I tried to calm down from the shock.
'What are you doing here?' He replied, raising an eyebrow.
'That's fair.' I said, turning away from him.
'Can I join you?'
'I guess.' I shrugged, though I wasn't sure how well he could see me; my black outfit blended in perfectly with the night.
He pushed himself up and perched on the cliff beside me. 'Can't sleep?'
I shook my head. 'No.'
'What will happen when the boss realises you've gone?'
'I'm not sure he will.' I replied, honestly. After all, he hadn't even wanted to speak to me when he had come in.
'You seemed like you were having a great time earlier.' He tried to hide it, but his voice sounded bitter. I ignored it.
'I've not seen the stars since that night.' I sighed, looking up.
'What night?'
'The night of my music recital, the night I ended up here.'
'Do you remember anything of that night?' He asked, turning to face me.
'No,' I replied, looking down. 'I remember performing, but that's it.'
'Do you not think that's weird?'
'I didn't come up here to be interrogated.' I commented, feeling irritated. I had come up here to try to relax. 'I'll see you later.'
'Where are you going?'
'Somewhere I can think.' I slipped back down through the hatch and headed back along the corridor.
I found myself in Troy's training room and I wasn't sure why. Mats were laid across the floor and the punching bags were up. I stretched out my body and then used all my negative energy to beat the punching bag. Kicks, punches, everything I had been taught. I used the movement techniques Amber had taught me, as if I was dodging an invisible man. I swung around and kicked the padded bag. It fell to the floor with force.
'Impressive.' Troy commented from the doorway. I exhaled, not realising I had been holding my breath.
'How long have you been stood there?'
'Long enough.' He replied with a lop-sided smile. He walked towards me. 'Why aren't you in bed?'
'I couldn't sleep.'
'So you thought you would destroy my punching bag?' He laughed, kissing me on the cheek. 'What's going on?'
'I thought you didn't want to see me.' I replied, honestly. 'You've been out all evening.'
'I'm sorry.' He apologised, and I knew he was sincere. 'Things are moving very quickly with our plan. I didn't want to worry you until the decision was certain.' He rubbed my arms with his hands. 'I don't like to hide this from you, but in a few days it will all be over.'
'What do you mean?'
'In a few more days, we won't need to hide anymore. We can be free to use our abilities, to rule what is ours. And I want you at my side.'
I widened my eyes in surprise. 'We aren't going to kill anyone, are we?'
'No.' He replied, his face serious. 'That is not part of the plan.' His hands moved down so that they were holding mine. 'Come on, it's getting late, you must be getting tired.'
The next evening, Troy held another meeting in the cafeteria. Everyone was called to join and like last time, I was expected to stand by his side. His arm was protectively on my shoulder this time, and this hadn't gone unnoticed by the savants in the ground.
'You are probably all wondering why I have gathered you here today.' He started, silence filling the crowd. 'Your time to fight for what you believe in has come. On Tuesday evening, the President is at an important dinner party in Las Vegas. Myself, and a selected few of you will be travelling to Vegas and working undercover. Those of you who are staying here are to continue training under the directions of Marcus.' He nodded in Marcus' direction.
'Please listen for your name.' A security guard, who was unfamiliar to me, called. He read off the names; I was on there, obviously, but I felt a little disappointed that Jenni was not. Sam's name was called, and so at Zed's, unfortunately.
'If your name has been called, we will be meeting at seven AM sharp tomorrow to discuss the plan. I will see you then.' The crowd began talking again and Troy turned to me with a smile. 'We had better go and pack.'

Zed.
I kept wondering when my vision was going to happen with Sky. I hadn't had another since and I was starting to become curious. I had wondered if the kiss was going to happen that night, when I found her sat under the stars. She looked lost, uncertain, upset. My name being called out gave me more hope. I was going to be in Vegas with her and that gave me a chance. I just needed some time alone with her, and I wasn't sure where that fitted in with Troy's plan.
