The night of June 16th Eve had trouble sleeping. The next morning she'd be fighting a duel with Zoey, her friend and lover. Would she be able to kill Zoey, would she let Zoey kill her? Eve was unsure, but would soon find out. She went outside for a ciggarette, and found Sharon Mason. Eve tried to avoid eye contact, but Sharon noticed something was wrong.

Sharon: Are you okay Eve?
Eve: I'm sorry fr what I did to you.
Sharon: What exactly did you do?
Eve: I slept with your husband.
Sharon: Are you okay?
Eve: I'm your husband's mistress, or at least I was. Why are you being nice to me?
Sharon: George and I came to an understanding, a long time ago. Even before he told us about ELE, he withdrew. Maybe he feared giving away too much. George would just eat take-out food and lose himself in a baseball game, or hockey, football. He was very interested in rowing for a brief period. Other times George would sit outside feeding the squirrels, and yell at the vice-president's dogs when they chased those squirrels. Now there are no more real sports, no food we could spare for squirrels. I'm not sure there are even any squirrels left. My point Eve, we all deal with ELE in our own ways. So don't feel guilty about it. All things considered, I can't judge either of you on the adultery issue. Besides, I've seen some of the girls he's been with. Trust me when I say that you have real class.
