AN: I have always imagined Sky's voice to sound just like Carrie Fletcher's. So beautiful!

'See, we all knew you'd be great!' Nina hugged me when I headed off the stage, my two songs over.

I looked back at her in surprise. 'Thanks.'

'Oh sorry.' She said, apologetically. 'I just thought as I'd seen you in your underwear that hugs weren't over-stepping the boundry.'

I laughed. 'It's okay, really.'

'Wow, the whole of the US is going to be buzzing.'

'It's only five hundred people out there.' I laughed, looking back at the crowd from the wings of the stage.

'They're filming it for MTV, I think it's on tomorrow.' Marty said, awkwardly, from beside Nina.

My eyes widened in horror. 'Are you serious? Oh my god.'

'But you were great, so it's no issue!' Marty said quickly. 'Come on, you're all sweaty. Let's get you all cleaned up before we send you back out there.'

Back in the dressing room, I had no idea that I had another outfit to change into. Nina pulled it out and I raised an eyebrow. 'Are you serious?'

'Your dress is probably all sweaty from the lights. Haven't you see the VMAs? Everyone changes for their performance.' She shook her head at me in disbelief. 'Here, let me tie back your hair so you can jump in the shower.'

A shower? At a charity show? It was all pretty weird. When I got out of the shower, a beautiful new dress was hanging on the rail waiting for me. It was another Sherri Hill, in the same shape as the other, except it was strapless. The skater dress was turquoise with beautiful pink flowers on it. I slipped it on, pleased it had a little petticoat underneath to add extra volume. It was gorgeous. I took my hair out of the bun it had been put in and walked out in the dressing room.

Nina smiled. 'You should be sponsored for wearing her clothes, they look fabulous on you! Right, come here and I'll touch up your make-up for you.'

Ten minutes later, and I was in the main hall (luckily still in my Jimmy Choos after refusing to part with them). Ed was on his final song, so I Facetimed Jenni so she could see it. I was glad he was singing loud, as her squealing would have been pretty embarassing.

'You need me, man, I don't need you

You need me, man, I don't need you

You need me, man, I don't need you at all

You need me, man, I don't need you.'

I cheered and applauded along with the audience, from the side of the stage.

'Thank you very much.' He said into the microphone and then he left the stage. The dimmed lights came back on and a few teenagers approached me.

'You were so awesome!' The red head beamed at me, thrusting a notepad my way. 'Can I please have your autograph?'

'And can we have a picture?' The blonde added.

'Uhm, sure.' I smiled. I hadn't ever signed anything, so I made up a signature on the spot and prayed that I would remember it incase I ever need to sign anything else. The girls squashed us together into a selfie, snapped a few and then disappeared. I let out a sigh of relief.

'First time huh?'

I turned around and found the Taylor Swift stood behind me. I blinked, unsure if I was awake. 'Erm, yeah.'

'Taylor.' She smiled, holding out her hand.

I shook it. 'Sky.'

'Taylor, you need to head backstage ready for your set.' A guy dressed in black said, appearing at my side.

'Okay, Bill.' She smiled at me. See y'all later.'

I let out a breath I didn't realise I had been holding. The whole thing was just completely surreal. Was it obvious I was starstruck? I sure hoped not. I grabbed a glass of champagne from a passing waitress and waved at Nina as she approached in a black chiffon maxi dress.

'Hey stranger.' She smiled.

'Taylor Swift just introduced herself to me.' I told her, desperate to tell someone.

'Oh I forgot she's performing tonight. She's good pals with Teddy.' She looked at me and laughed. 'You look like you've seen a ghost.'

'I'm a rollercoaster of emotions.' I laughed. 'Panic, worry, anxiety, excitement. I really don't know.'

'It's okay, it's all new.'

'Have you ever been starstruck?'

'Hmmm,' she thought for a moment. 'Probably when I met Lady Gaga at the VMAs. That was pretty sweet. Although her outfit wasn't.'

After an interval filled with people introducing themselves to me, some teenagers, some adults who seemed to have a lot of money (a few I recognised from television, but couldn't name), Taylor came onstage and Ed came to join me in the crowd, a glass of champagne in his hand. He crinkled his nose. 'I hate this stuff.'

'So have a beer?'

'It's not classy enough.' He winked.

The music started up and I suddenly wished Jenni was here to dance with.

'I stay out too late

Got nothing in my brain

That's what people say, mmm-mmm

That's what people say, mmm-mmm.'

I passed my empty glass to a passing waiter in unison with Ed.

'I go on too many dates

But I can't make them stay

At least that's what people say, mmm-mmm

That's what people say, mmm-mmm'

And then before I knew it, Ed Sheeran and I were dancing to Taylor Swift's live performance like complete goons.

The next day, I woke up a lot later than I had planned. I heard a knock on the door and when I squinted to read my phone, I realised it was eleven am. I groaned and got up to answer the door, regretting opening it as soon as I did. My new red-headed friend was stood in the doorway.

'Hey.' He smiled. 'Sorry, did I wake you?'

'Yeah.' I replied. 'But I should have been up already.'

'Sorry. I have some surprises for you that's all... well one surprise, the other might be a surprise depending what your view on parties is.'

'Go on...' I said, flattening down my wild hair.

'Well we've been invited to a pool party later. I know it's lame, but the weather is nice and Taylor wanted you to go.'

My eyes widened. 'Are you serious?'

He shot me a lopsided smile. 'The other is a surprise. But you need to get dressed. I'm not sure you'll want to be out in public in your jammies.'

I was thankful I'd packed a decent bikini. I threw on my turquoise Hollister bikini, some denim short shorts and a black lace top over the top. Then I packed a bag and grabbed my sunglasses. I met Ed downstairs, where he was stood surprisingly by himself.

'Just us today?'

'I hope that's okay.' He replied. 'Marty and Nina have flown back to New York.'

'Oh.' I felt a little disappointed that they hadn't said goodbye.

He looked at the sunglasses in my hand. 'Er... you might want to put those on, just in case.'

I was glad I'd taken his advice. Wearing my sunglasses helped hide my identity and I now realised why Ed was wearing a baseball cap and shades. We were out in public. At the CN tower to be precise; Toronto's 1,815ft high communications and observation tower. We bought two tickets and then found ourselves 342m in the air, stood next to a glass floor.

'This is crazy.' I said, looking at the glass floor in front of me.

'Really?' And just like that he laid down on the floor. I winced as he tapped the glass beside him. 'Fancy a rest?'

'You're crazy.'

'Come on, I didn't take us up here for you to wimp out on me.' He frowned. 'I thought this was a weekend of facing fears.'

I took a deep breath and walked onto the glass floor. I looked down at the tiny ant people below and felt sick. Then I told myself I was being ridiculous. Singing was far scarier than heights. I'd been up the Empire State... but then this was higher. I bit my lip and lowered myself onto the glass floor. Then I laid down beside Ed. 'You're still crazy.'

'It's awesome though, right?' He beamed. 'And whilst you're down here it's the perfect opportunity for me to ask you something.'

'Please do it quick.' I screwed up my face in panic.

'Well, I'm launching my own record label called Gingerbread. And I'd like you to be the first act I sign.'

'That's a joke, right?'

'Not at all.' He smiled. 'Everyone loved you last night, you're super talented Sky. Obviously I'd draw up a contract but you'll be able to release your own songs and what not. I want to be your manager. I don't want you stuck with some loser who won't let you do what you want to do.' He turned to face me. 'Come on, I've tried to be cool and take you 342m into the air. If that's not a record label proposal I don't know what is.'

I thought about the crowd last night. It had been terrifying, but once I had become more confident it had felt amazing. But then I wouldn't be able to have a normal life with Zed. I wanted us to be able to get married without the interruptions. I wanted to finish college and graduate.

I took a deep breath. 'Okay, but I have some conditions.'

'Shoot.'

'I want as normal life as possible. I want to stay hidden from the press and have a private life just like you. And I want to finish college.'

He held out his hand to me. 'Deal.'

'Now can we please get up before we fall to our deaths? I'm completely freaking out here.'

The pool party venue Taylor had booked was completely insane. It was a rooftop bar with a huge swimming pool and jacuzzis. Fancy day beds lined the sides of the pool, most were already filled when we arrived. I wrapped my arms around myself, uncomfortably. The girls strutting around in bikinis were seriously skinny. They looked like models.

I knew Ed had noticed. 'Bet you're in heaven.'

He smiled. 'This is nothing, did you see my performance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show?'

I raised my eyebrows. 'You're just a normal guy, aren't you?'

'I try.' He grinned.

'Ed! Sky!' Taylor embraced each of us before I could react, wearing short shorts and a bikini. 'I am so glad you made it.'

'What's the ocassion?' I asked, looking around. It was the fanciest pool party I'd ever been to and I knew my wedding wasn't going to look this posh, even with my gorgeous dress.

She shrugged. 'I don't often get everyone together, so I thought why not? Here, come with me, I want to introduce you to some people.'

'I'll get the drinks.' Ed said, excusing himself.

Before I knew it, I was sat with Taylor and her Victoria's Secret model friends (keeping my shorts and vest top firmly on), being quizzed about everything from my work with Hollister to college to even Zed.

'Have you got a photo?' Miranda gushed as I told her about our wedding plans.

I pulled out my phone and found a picture of Zed and I before the May ball. 'Here.'

'Wow, he's gorgeous!' The girls cooed.

'Talent and taste.' Taylor smiled. 'You are so lucky.'

When the DJ started playing his set, people started dancing around the pool. I felt overwhelmed. I'd met around thirty new people, most of which either had record deals or model contracts. The weekend had been busy and I longed for some time to myself. The afternoon was hot and humid and I finally gave in to taking off my tank top, despite feeling self-conscious. I left it with my sandals and sat down by the pool, placing my feet in the refreshing, cold water.

'Mind if I join you?'

I looked up in the direction of Ed's voice. 'Sure, boss.'

He grinned at that. 'I hope you're not going to start calling me that.'

'Whatever boss.'

He sat down beside me. 'You okay?'

'Overwhelmed.' Was all I needed to say.

'I don't blame you, it's all happened pretty quick huh?'

I nodded. 'And I've still got a wedding to finish planning.'

'Do that before anything else, that's important.' He told me, adjusting his sunglasses. 'And then we will talk next steps. Do you want to get out of here?'

'Please.'

Zed met me at the airport and I couldn't help but run towards him and wrap my legs tightly around his waist. He laughed and put me down. I'd said goodbye to Ed as he was heading back to the UK, but he promised to send over the contract for me to read when I had the time and promised to organise a publicist to deal with the press on my behalf. When we got home, there was a surprise waiting for me. The room was filled with candles and dinner was cooking.

I wrapped my arms around Zed's neck. 'You didn't have to do all of this.'

'I missed you.' He said, kissing me softly.

'I missed you too.' He moved to the kitchen and started dishing up the risotto. I followed him closely. 'I wish you'd been there with me. I kept thinking on Saturday that I needed you there to keep me calm and then when I was watching the world from 300 metres in the air. I wanted you beside me.'

'You did great, though.' He smiled. 'And I saw your performance online, everyone is still talking about it.' He kissed my nose as he walked past with a plate. 'And you looked even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.'

'Not that you're biased or anything.' I laughed.

'Not at all.' He placed the plates on the dinner table. 'So tell me about the models at Taylor's party. Victoria's Secret, wasn't it?' I glared at him across the table. He grinned. 'I'm glad you still get jealous even though you're a global sensation. Although I have to say, I did recieve a call to say we're well and truly off the witness protection programme when you were away.' His smile faded.

'I didn't think that through.' I replied, my voice small.

'It just means you'll have to be with me more. I don't think Ed's ability is going to be much use in a fight, no offence to him.'

'I can look after myself now. I can control throughts and actions, remember? That's the only thing I'll ever thank Troy for.'

Zed shuddered. 'Hmm, I guess you're right.'

On the Thursday afternoon, the day before we were set to head for Vancouver Island, an unexpected visitor appeared on my doorstep. Zed was busy packing for our weekend when I answered and found a lady dressed in a suit jacket, jeans and a blouse. She held a suitcase in one hand and had an earpiece on. She smiled.

'Hello Sky, I'm Darcy, your publicist.' She reached out her hand.

I took her hand and shook it. 'Er, do come in.'

She walked past me and took in the surroundings. 'This is a lovely apartment you have. Very cosy.'

Did that mean small? Was it an insult? I wasn't sure. 'Take a seat.' I followed her into the living space and she sank onto the couch. 'I wasn't expecting you.'

'I'm so sorry, Mr Sheeran did say that you were going away for the weekend, I just thought it was important we met and that I got to work as you seem to be in almost every paper in Canada at the moment and I didn't want you to get any phonecalls direct from the press.' She explained, pulling an iPad out of her suitcase.

'That's okay.' I replied, feeling a little relieved that she was going to stop me being hassled. 'It's not as bad, there's only the odd reporter outside my parents' house now.'

'I'll make that stop.' She promised. 'The press will be given my number if they wish to get hold of you for any photoshoots, interviews and so on. And of course I will have to run it past Mr Sheeran. He has said that you'd like to keep your private life private where possible, is that correct?'

I nodded. 'Please. Especially as I'm getting married in just under two months.'

'Not a problem. Just be wary. Don't drink too much and fall out of nightclubs, you don't want that kind of publicity in the first year. I can of course stop articles running if I am not happy with them.'

Zed walked into the room and shot me a confused look. 'Hello?'

'Darcy Jones, I am Sky's publicist.' She introduced herself.

'Oh right... well hi.' He replied, awkwardly.

'Sky, can I please leave you with the terms I have been given? I want to check you are happy with them and then if you could just text me or e-mail any changes that would be great.' Darcy stood up and shook my hand again. 'I hope you have a lovely weekend away.'

'Thank you.' Zed smiled. 'I'll show you out.'

I picked up the document she'd left on the table, which luckily was not too long. Zed returned from the door and shot me a puzzled look. 'This just gets weirder and weirder.'

In light of Sky Bright's rising fame, I have hereby appointed Darcy Jones as her publicist. The terms of the contract with Miss Jones are as follows:

1) The personal life of Sky Bright is not to be publicised without consent from Miss Bright herself, either through a phonecall or in written permission. This includes photographs, interviews and statements from any who claim to know her.

2) Sky Bright's wedding in August will not be publicised without permission from Miss Bright herself.

3) Any photographs or comments written by Miss Bright on social media websites (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Youtube) are copyright of Miss Bright and are not to be used without her consent.

4) Miss Bright's diary is not to be publicised until after an event has happened, to avoid any unnecessary run-ins with the press of fans.

5) Miss Bright will not be agreeing to appear inappropriately dressed or nude in any photoshoots and any photographers booking shoots need to be made aware of this.

6) Any music produced by Miss Bright is copyright of Gingerbread Records and is not to be used without permission.

Ed had signed and dated it the previous day.

'Well I'm glad he's got his head screwed on.' Zed commented, reading over my shoulder.

'He's not going to let me get taken for granted, don't worry.' I said as I scanned the rest of the document. I sent Darcy a message using the number she had left me.

'Good, because I don't want anyone forcing you to do something you don't want to do.' He kissed my forehead. 'But I will force you to go and back, otherwise you will be spending the weekend in no clothes which is fine with me...'

'But not until our wedding night.' I reminded him, standing up. I gave him a quick kiss on the lips and disappeared to pack.

Strathcona Park Lodge was exactly how I remembered it and if anything, it looked more beautiful with blue skies and sunshine overhead. The clear Friday sky allowed us to take in the breathtaking scenery of the valley; the glistening water, the jagged mountains. Our consultation was set to take place the next day, so we decided to make the most of the scenery and the gorgeous weather. We hired a boat for the afternoon and paddled across the lake, settling on a small cove on the other side.

Zed leant against a fallen long and pulled me between his legs so that I was resting against his chest. He kissed my bare shoulder and let out a sigh of content. 'Now this is just what I needed. I've missed this.'

'Me too.' I sighed, leaning back into him. 'You hear that?'

'I don't hear anything.'

'Exactly.' I replied. Quiet was just what I needed. 'All I can hear is the sound of waterfalls and the birds singing. It's perfect.'

'We might have to escape out here more often when you're winning grammys.' He laughed, kissing my shoulder again. Goosebumps appeared along my spine in response.

'Yeah, right. I very much doubt I'll be winning awards.'

'You never know.'

I turned to face him and saw that his smile had faded into a straight line. 'What's up?'

'Nothing.'

'Liar.' I frowned. 'Tell me or I'll never kiss you again.' I climbed onto his lap so that I was mounting him.

'You wouldn't do that.'

'Try me.'

He sighed. 'I'm worried that now you're in the process of signing a record contract everything is going to change between us. That you'll find something better or be too busy for us to spend time together like this.'

'Don't be ridiculous.'

'I'm serious, Sky.'

I looked into his eyes and I could tell that it was genuinely bothering him. 'Zed, we're getting married.'

'And we could get divorced.' He shuddered and it made me frown again.

'Aren't you the one who always says we're soulfinders and nothing can break our bond?'

'Troy did.'

'And now he's locked away where he can't help anyone.' I grabbed his face with my stupidly small hands. 'Zed we're eighteen and I've agreed to marry you. I've always been against teenage marriages, thought it only happened if the girl's knocked up. I love you with all my heart and that is why I'm agreeing to marry you so young. Because you mean everything to me. And if things start getting crazy with my record contract then I will back out. I made that perfectly clear at the weekend. You, us... we're my priority.'

His mouth twitched at the sides and I knew he was trying not to smile. 'I love you too.'

'You'd better otherwise we've got a bit of a problem!'

The next day we met with Rosa and went through the plan for our wedding weekend in detail. Unfortunately, the sky had clouded over and the humidity seemed to be promising a much-needed storm so we were sat inside, surrounded by beautiful ferns and other forest plants.

'Well things have changed a lot since you were last here.' Rosa chuckled. 'Hitting the big time now, huh Sky?'

I blushed crimson. 'I guess so.'

'There's no need to be embarassed doll, you've got quite the voice on you.' She smiled.

'Erm... so the wedding.' Zed changed the topic, sensing how uncomfortable I was feeling.

'Absolutely.' She pulled out some paperwork. 'Okay so all set for August 16th. Here is the itinery we've drawn up for you.' She handed us the paper with its fancy letterhead.

Friday- arrival for guests and bride and groom from 2pm. Check in, refreshments in welcome lounge. Free use of kayaks, canoes, high rope course and spa for guests throughout the afternoon and evening. Wedding rehearsal 6pm and Beach BBQ from 7pm.

Saturday- free use of kayaks, canoes, high rope course and spa throughout the morning. Wedding ceremony in the barn loft for up to 70 guests 3pm. Wedding reception including dinner buffet from 4.30pm.

Sunday- brunch for all guests in the on-sight restaurant at 10.30am. Check-out 2pm.

'So we get free use of all of your facilities and equipment?' Zed clarified and I rolled my eyes. He was such an outdoorsy person.

'Yes on Friday and on Saturday morning.' Rosa replied with a smile. 'Do you enjoy the outdoors, Zed?'

'My family own a watersports centre back in Wrickenridge.' He replied.

'Just don't get so caught up in kayaking that you forget to arrive at the wedding.' I warned.

He shot me a cocky smile. 'No problem.'

'And you're not turning up in a wetsuit either.'

'Damn.'

Rosa chuckled. 'Would you like to choose which food you would like on the buffet? I have the choices here.'

After running through all of the final details, including sorting through the guest list (which reminded me we still had to send out the invitations), I persuaded Zed to try out the spa. The spa was right on the edge of the lake. The pool room had large glass windows overlooking the scenery and outdoors there were hot tubs built into the decking. We sank into the hot tub and listened to the rumbling thunder overhead.

'It all suddenly feels very real.' I commented, looking across at my fiance and hoping he didn't realise I was checking out his abs.

'I know.' He smiled. 'It makes me look forward to our wedding day even more.'

I leant against the side of the hot tub and looked out at the view, watching the flashes of sky beyond the misty mountains. Zed moved behind me and started to give me a shoulder rub. I sighed, feeling content. 'Let's just stay here.'

'Mmm that would be nice.' He moved my hair to the side and trailed kisses from my shoulder up to my neck. The goosebumps reappeared and my breath quickened as Zed whispered in my ear. 'Are you sure you want to wait until our wedding night?'

'Cheeky.' I laughed, turning around to face him and kissing him as lightly as I could. 'I just thought you were being romantic.'

'I was.' He grinned. 'But you look really good in that bikini so I thought it was worth a shot.'
