It was just before midnight when we landed back into Vancouver BC airport on the Monday night and I was already missing Hawaii. We were welcomed back by heavy rain and darkness, and the summer felt like it was already over. Zed and I went straight to bed.

It was still raining the next morning when I woke up. Zed had already headed into work, although I knew business would be poor in this weather, so I was home alone. Sat on the windowsill, watching the rain fall outside, I uploaded our honeymoon photos onto Facebook and checked my e-mails. I had two from Darcy, mentionning that a few magazines had asked for interviews and others requesting Ed and I perform at various events. Another one was from the Teen Choice Awards, inviting me to attend. Our landline phone rang and I answered it without a thought.

'Hello?'

'Hi Sky, it's Ed.'

I froze. Damn it, I had done so well to ignore his messages. 'Hello.'

'Did you have a nice honeymoon?'

'Yes thank you.'

'Sky, I'm sorry I was acting weird. Stuff was going on and I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I realised that when I was waiting to hear from you all week. I was a dick. You're... you're my best friend.'

I paused, letting him worry for a little longer. 'Okay, you've got another chance.'

'Thank you.'

'So how is the UK?'

'Okay, actually.' He replied. 'Nice to be back seeing my friends and family. They're all dying to meet you.' He paused for a second. 'Did you read any of my messages? I don't blame you if you didn't.'

'No, I didn't.' I replied, feeling guilty. But I probably should have done.

'I've got a tour of Canada and North America starting in two weeks and I wanted you to come and open for me.'

It was lucky I was sat down, because I could have collapsed at that moment. 'Erm, what?'

'I was hoping you would say yes. I've even had posters and flyers printed out ready.' Ed paused. 'And you're ready for this. You've got a few songs ready to go, I've seen your songbook and I've heard you sing them. I actually think that you should release your next single whilst on tour.'

I was seeing black dots. Didn't that mean you were going to faint?

'And there's the Teen Choice Awards on Friday. I RSVPed and said you and I would be there.'

More black dots.

'Sky, are you there? Please don't let me you're freaking out?'

Freaking out? A huge tour. A new single. Teen Choice Awards. 'I've just got married.' Was all I could croak out. 'And what about college?'

'Zed is happy about it, I asked him in New York to make sure he didn't mind.' Ed replied, making me frown. So Zed knew and didn't tell me? 'And we'll get back just before college starts for you, I checked.'

I felt hot and sick. Nerves or was I coming down with something? Or was it the shitty weather? I wasn't sure.

'Sky? Please, it's a great opportunity for you. I'm even happy to pay for Zed to fly out to some shows and see you whenever he can.' His voice sounded concerned now. 'Sky?'

'Okay.' I croaked out. 'I'll do it.'

'Sky, it's fantastic!' Jenni squealed when she and Rob joined Zed and I for dinner that evening. 'It'll really boost your career.'

'You'll be great.' Zed said, reassuringly.

'Don't even try that.' I warned. 'I know you've known about this since your bachelor party.'

Rob whistled as he breathed out.

'Let me guess, you knew too?' I asked him, accusingly.

He shifted awkwardly and Jenni swatted him with her hand. 'And you didn't think to tell us?'

'Um, ouch.' Rob complained, rubbing his arm.

'So when are you flying to LA?' Jenni asked, glaring at her boyfriend.

'Thursday.' I replied. 'No time to recover.'

'You shouldn't need to recover, you've just had your honeymoon.' She paused for a second, doing the math in her head. 'Okay, ew. No wonder you both look so damn healthy.'

'I don't even know what I'm wearing for the Teen Choice Awards. Nina and Marty aren't available either so I've been booked into a salon. I am dreading it.'

'You're dreading hanging out with stars and going to an afterparty? Please!' Jenni frowned, shaking her head.

'Are you sure you can't come with?' I asked Zed, putting on my best puppy-dog eyes.

'I've just taken ten days off work in high-season. I don't think I will get away with anymore.' Zed replied with a sigh.

'I'll come!' Jenni grinned from beside me.

'You're heading back to see your parents, remember?' Rob reminded her.

'I'd rather be in LA than having an awkward dinner.'

'I'd rather you were in LA too.' I sighed.

I met Ed at LAX airport that Thursday afternoon, feeling refreshed after being upgraded to First Class. I was sure that a 'free' upgrade for being recognised as a 'celebrity' would have been nicer though if I had had someone to share the experience with.

'Hey bluebird.' He greeted me with a hug, taking my case out of my hand.

'You don't look like you've been on a stupidly long flight.' I commented.

'I arrived last night, so I've had a bit of sleep.' He replied with a smile.

'So where are we staying?'

'You'll love it.'

I looked at the Hollywood home in front of us when we arrived thirty minutes later. 'I thought we were staying in a hotel.'

'Well I'm here til tour starts and I wanted somewhere with a studio space so I can get started on my new album.' He said, taking my suitcase out of the car. 'I know it's not hugely fancy, but I don't like going over the top.'

'But it is a little over the top.' And it was. I looked at the white house in front of me. It wasn't huge, but it was beautiful, nestled away in the Hollywood hills, surrounded by trees. I followed him inside, to the open-plan living space. There was a large, brown leather couch and two brown cord armchairs, with a reasonable-sized flatscreen television. Across the wooden flooring was a dining table for four and a large bay, window with a built in seat (I'd always secretly wanted one of those). The kitchen was tucked away behind half a wall, and was modern with white cabinets, black marble counter tops and two wooden stools. Continuing the tour, Ed led me onto the terrace outside, after opening up the french doors. We looked out at the stone terrace with a patio set and sunbeds overlooking Hollywood below. There was a small pool and a jacuzzi.

'What were you saying about not being over the top?' I asked, raising an eyebrow.

'That's not the best bit.' I followed him back inside and he led me to a white studio with a wooden floor. There were microphones, a baby grand piano and a keyboard. I saw Ed's guitar had already been made an addition of the room. 'The acoustics in here are amazing.'

'I bet.' I smiled.

'I'll show you to your room.' He led me back down the hallway to a room decorated with white carpet and white walls. The large double bed had a white duvet and a variety of different white cushions. There was a large white bookcase and a reasonable-sized closet. If it wasn't for the studio or the pool outside, it might have be a nice, normal family home. 'I'll let you get unpacked. Then maybe we can head into town and get some dinner? Oh and your outfit arrived. Don't worry, Nina checked it out first. It's in the closet.' He disappeared, leaving me alone in m blindingly white room.

I walked over to the closet and opened it, cautiously. I pulled out the dress bag, which had a note from Nina attached.

Zed said you like watching Game of Thrones. Unleash your inner khaleesi! Nina x

I smiled, unzipping the bag carefully. A turquoise halterneck with a gold sequinned belt and a thigh slit. It was beautiful. I looked back in the closet and found the matching gold clutch bag, some beautiful gold bangles and the gold strappy stilettos from Jimmy Choo. Perfect.

After I had unpacked and changed into a black skater skirt and a pale pink lace crop top, I found Ed sat outside, playing his guitar in the sunshine and singing a song I wasn't familiar with.

'I'm standing on a mountain

Waiting for you to come

You were sitting counting

The days that I had gone

The note I wrote

I wrapped up in a cigarette

Burned away the memories

I tried to forget.'

He stopped singing when he saw me. 'All settled in?'

'Yes.' I smiled. 'And my outfit for tomorrow is incredible. Thank you.'

He put his hands in the air. 'I have no idea what you're wearing, that's all down to Nina.'

'I wish she could be here to do my make-up and Marty to do my hair.'

'Don't worry, she's found you a nice salon in town to do it.' He smiled. 'Taylor recommended them too, so I'm sure they're decent.'

I sat down on a sunlounger and looked out at the view. 'It's so beautiful.'

'Yeah, it's pretty sweet.' He nodded in agreement with a smile. He put down his guitar and smiled across at me. 'What do you say we head into town and grab some food?'

'I'll go get changed.'

'You can if you want, but I was thinking somewhere a bit more laid back for this evening.'

I smiled. 'That sounds great.'

Ed and I decided we'd walk into town as it wasn't too far downhill. We both slipped on our shades to hide our identities as we walked down towards Hollywood Boulevard.

'So was Hawaii nice?' Ed asked.

'It was so beautiful.' I replied with a smile. 'So many rainforests to walk in and waterfalls to swim in. Oh, and there was a humpback whale like four metres away from me! Scared the crap out of me, though.'

'Wow, that's pretty impressive. You look really sunkissed.' He smiled. 'I'm going to look like a ghost next to you on the red carpet.'

'I'm sorry.' I apologised.

'It's okay.' He shrugged. His phone started ringing and he checked the Caller ID. 'Sorry I have to take this.'

'That's okay.'

'Hey it's Ed... yeah I'll be there tomorrow mate... oh really? Sure we'd love to... sounds awesome... catch you later.'

'Everything okay?'

'Absolutely.' He smiled. 'We're going to Sam's afterparty tomorrow.'

'Sam?' My face fell. I only knew one Sam and we were no longer on the same team.

'Sam Smith.'

'Sam Smith?' I repeated, looking at him in disbelief.

'Is that okay?'

'Oh absolutely.'

He laughed as we approached California Pizza Kitchen. 'Aha, dinner is served.'

The next morning, I woke up feeling hot and sticky. At some point, I had turned off my air-conditionning, having been too cold. Now I was over-heating. It took me a while to realise I was in Los Angeles in a fancy house in the Hollywood Hills, but I smiled at the thought. As it was only just eight, I decided I'd make the most of the sunshine. I changed into my red bikini and headed outside. I placed my towel on the sunbed and slipped into the pool. It wasn't as cold as it could have been, in fact it was surprisingly refreshing after being in a room which was starting to resemble a sauna. I swam around for a while, and then got out of the pool.

xx-xx-xx

Ed.

I walked out onto the terrace to find Sky climbing out of the pool in her bikini. Was I in heaven or hell? I wasn't sure. I tried not to gawp and desperately tried to say something.

'Nice day.' Idiot.

'It sure is.' She smiled back at me, grabbing her towel and drying herself off. 'I didn't realise you were up.'

'I didn't realise you were either.' I felt hot and bothered all of a sudden. 'Would you like some breakfast?'

'Sounds great.'

I headed back inside and tried to keep my tongue back in my mouth. This was ridiculous. She was married and she'd just been on her honeymoon. Boy, Zed really was a lucky guy. Her kindness, her humour, her talent, her pretty face and her body. She was the perfect package. I groaned and took the eggs and bacon out of the refridgerator. Maybe going on tour wasn't such a good idea. But then maybe it would make us more like brother and sister? My stomache growled with annoyance. I was screwed. Well and truly.

That statement still applied that afternoon when I picked Sky up from the salon. Her nails had been given a gentle manicure (nothing too flashy), her blonde curls tumbled down past her shoulders, with a few bits braided back, and her make-up was subtle but brought out her eyes. And her lips. Eek. And I hadn't even seen her outfit yet.

We drove back to the house in silence, and when we were there we changed ready for the Teen Choice Awards. I changed my jeans, put on my high-tops and changed into a plain blue shirt. I knew I'd look dressed down next to Sky before I'd even seen her outfit. The car picking us up beeped outside, and I quickly grabbed my phone and wallet.

'Sky, are you nearly ready?' I called out, making sure the french doors were locked. I turned around and she was stood there, looking like a grecian goddess in a flattering turquoise halterneck dress and a gold belt to show off her tiny waist. My eyes wandered to the thigh split and I swallowed.

'Does it look okay?' She asked, nervously.

I nodded and swallowed again. 'Yes.' I managed to choke out. 'You look... incredible.'

Nice one, idiot.

xx-xx-xx

Sky.

The Teen Choice Awards were being held at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, this year. The journey in the blacked-out window car wasn't that long, but Ed's silence was making it feel like longer. My phone buzzed three times and I was glad it broke the silence. I took it out and looked at the messages I'd recieved in response to my photo messages.

Mrs Benedict, you look absolutely divine. I wish I was there tonight to show you off and to do wicked things to you after the show. I love you lots and I hope you have a good evening. See you on Sunday, Z xxxxx

Wow Sky, you look someone Dany Targaryen would rival! Watch out Jon Snow! I'm watching the livestream so blow me and Luna a kiss! Phee xxx

Check you out hottie! Bet Zed is wishing he was there now! Your Hollywood pad looks lush, I must visit sometime. J xxx

I smiled at the messages and sent a quick reply. Then I looked over at Ed, who was busy looking out of the window. At the traffic jam we were in.

'Please tell me you're not going to be this quiet all evening.' I said, nudging him with my elbow.

He blinked and turned to face me. 'Sorry, in my own world.'

'Are you nervous about the award you're up for?' I quizzed. 'You didn't tell me.'

'I don't like to brag.'

'Telling me wouldn't be bragging.' I smiled. 'Didn't you say I was your best friend?'

'You're right, sorry. I'll tell you next time.' He apologised, his eyes softening.

'What's going on, Teddy?'

He smiled at my use of his nickname. 'Maybe I'm a bit nervous.'

'Nervous? You? And how many awards have you won Mr International Superstar?'

'I still get nervous.' He replied with a shrug. 'Especially when I've got to walk up the red carpet with a gorgeous lady. You're going to draw all the attention.' He winked.

'Unlikely.' I shook my head. 'We'll see about that.'

The car stopped and I realised we were in a queue for the 'blue' carpet. I took a deep breath. Yes I had been on the red carpet a couple of times now but this was different. This was an award's show. One that lovely teenagers, and some less lovely, would be watching and judging my every move; did they like me? Was I a good role model? Did I have a good sense of fashion? Was I relatable? Jenni would say I was all of those things, but as a best friend she was biased. Ed looked over at me and shot me a smile. He knew I was nervous.

He reached for hand and squeezed it. 'I'm on the carpet side so I'll get out first and help you out, okay bluebird?' I nodded mutely. The driver opened Ed's door and he stepped out, causing cheers (and some hysterical screams) from the crowd. He held out his hand for me, ever the perfect gentleman, and helped me out. He moved me away from the car, placing his hand on the small of my back and guiding me up the carpet.

Just smile.

My eyes widened at the sound of Ed's voice in my head and his eyes widened too.

Did you just hear me?

Yes.

Ed broke into a smile and I smiled as if it was contagious. There weren't many savants who I could communicate with that way, so I was surprised he was one of them.

'Ed! Sky! Over here!' An interviewer called out. She looked familiar and I knew I'd seen her on television before but I couldn't work out where.

'Hey.' Ed greeted her as he guided me over there.

'Do you guys mind doing a quick interview?'

'Not at all.' I smiled.

The cameraman gave her the thumbs up and she held her mic up to her face.

'Hi, it's Jenna Owen here reporting for Ellen live from the Teen Choice Awards.' Of course that's where I'd seen her. 'I'm here with Ed Sheeran and Sky Bright, your current Number 1 duo.' She turned to face us. 'So, Ed, you're nominated for Choice Male Artist this evening, how do you think you'll do?'

'There's a lot of fantastic artists in there this evening, so who knows what will happen!' Ed replied, modestly.

'Do you think Ed will win, Sky?'

'Well he's a fantastic guy and his songs are incredible. What's not to like?' I smiled and Jenna did too.

'This could be you next year Sky, being nominated at an award's show. How does that make you feel?'

'It would be an honor to be nominated for something, it really would. For tonight, I'm just here to enjoy some good music and hang out with some great people.'

She nodded. 'We hear that Sky will be supported you on your USA tour Ed. What's it like working together?'

'Sky is great to work with. She's fun and talented and she's become a really good friend of mine.' Ed replied.

'Thank you. I hope you both enjoy your evening, you both look great.' We both shook Jenna's hand and continued up the blue carpet.

'Sky, Ed, can we get a picture?'

'Sky, tell us about your outfit.'

'Can we get a picture of the two of you?'

We posed for so many photographers that I lost count, and then we came across the fans of some of the stars, who had obviously camped out overnight to get their spot next to the carpet.

'Oh my god, it's Ed Sheeran and Sky Bright!' One of them called out. Cue hysterical screaming.

'Hey guys.' Ed smiled, walking over to them. This is why the fans loved him so much. I walked over to join him, where he was signing autographs and posing for selfies.

'Sky, please can I have a picture with you?' A brunette who must have only been a few years younger than me asked. 'You're even more pretty in real life.'

I smiled at her. She was the same height as me so we were completely level. 'Thank you. Of course you can have a photograph.' I posed for a photo and then she held out a copy of mine and Ed's single for me to sign. 'What's your name?' I asked her.

'Daisy.' She replied with a smile. I wrote her a personalised message and signed it. She looked at it, her eyes wide. I passed it over to Ed, so he quickly signed it too. 'Thank you so much!'

'It was a pleasure to meet you.'

A dozen selfies and about twenty autographs later, and we were finally inside. The Auditorium was beautiful, with old-Hollywood decor and it had been dressed up with 'Teen Choice Awards' banners for the event. By the stage, there was an area sectionned off for competition winners, who were stood standing and waiting for the excitement to start. Ed took my hand and led me to where we would be sat, with other music artists and nominees.

'Ed! Sky!' A familiar voice called out.

'Taylor, hey.' Ed smiled, pulling her into a hug.

'How was the honeymoon?' She asked me, pulling me into a hug after Ed.

'Fantastic, it really was.'

'Your tan is gorgeous, especially in that dress!' She grinned. She turned to face the girl she had come with, someone I recognised from tv and film. 'This is Selena. Selena you know Ed, and this is Sky.'

'Hey.' She said with a smile and a wave. The lights started to dim.

'I'll catch up with you two properly later.' Taylor said, excusing herself.

We took our seats in the front row of the block and waited for the show to begin. The first awards to be announced were television show awards and film awards, including the one that teenagers loved the most; the best onscreen kiss. And of course, like every year, the winners, reenacted the kiss onstage, causing cheers and excitement in the standing area. I was glad that The Theory of Everything had won a few awards. I had wept over that incredible film in the cinema when it came out. After a performance from Miley Cyrus which had left me cringing all over, they moved onto the music categories.

'Our first music award of the evening is for the Choice Male Artist and here to present the award is Taylor Swift.'

Taylor came on and waved at everyone. 'The nominees for the Choice Male Artist are...' She paused dramatically. 'Ed Sheeran.' Cue snippet of Thinking Out Loud and Ed tensing beside me. I squeezed his hand, reassuringly, and he smiled. 'Jason Derulo... Nick Jonas... Pitbull... Sam Smit... and Shawn Mendes.' What a diverse range of music. It was a silly list of nominations really. 'And the winner is...Ed Sheeran.'

It look Ed a few seconds to process that he had won, and he stood up a little delayed. I stood up with him and gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek, whispering 'I told you so.' He smiled, shook the hand of Nick Jonas, who was sat behind us, and walked up onto the stage. Taylor greeted him with a kiss on the cheek and handed him the award.

'Wow, thank you. It's been a good year for me, I have to say, and it's all thanks to you guys. Thank you.' And with that, Ed disappeared off the stage.

The afterparty we were attending was run by Sam Smith. I thought the house Ed had hired was over-the-top. I couldn't have been more wrong. Standing in Sam's swanky 8-bedroom, 5-bathroom white, modern house over-looking the city, I realised that Ed had been downgraded somewhat. There was a cinema room, a huge living room full of comfy-looking purple sofas, an open-plan dining room-kitchen which seated about 20 people, a recording studio and more. Because of the warm evening, the party was taking place outside on the huge stone terrace, with a large swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a fountain. There was even a DJ in his own booth and waitors and waitresses wandered around with buffet food and drinks.

'Cocktail?' A lady asked as she reached me with her tray.

'I don't need asking twice.' I smiled, thanking her.

'You know how you said my house was over top...' Ed trailed off, taking a sip of his gin and tonic.

'Well I was wrong.' I replied, sipping my cocktail. I had no idea what it was, but it was delicious.

'Am I going to be taking you home drunk tonight?' He asked, and I realised he hadn't actually seen me properly drunk. Taylor had, on the other hand, at my bachelorette party.

She waved and walked over to us. 'Here's to another win.' She held up a drink.

'To both of you.' I added, clinking my glass against hers. 'Congratulations.'

She beamed from ear to ear. 'Thank you. Another surfboard to ride off into the sunset on.'

'What do you do with all of the awards?' I asked out of curiousity, taking another sip of my drink.

'Well it's kinda lucky I've got a few apartments as it means I spread them around.' She replied with a smile. 'What's that?' She asked, eyeing my drink. I handed it over to her and she took a sip. 'Mmm that's nice but very strong. I feel it will be a repeat of your bachelorette. Truth or dare then later?'

Ed raised an eyebrow beside us. 'Did you all play truth or dare?'

'That we did.' I smiled.

'It was hilarious and I'm afraid that what happens on a bachelorette stays on a bachelorette.' She shot Ed a sweet smile. 'I'll catch up with you later, I promised I'd find Selena when the DJ started his set.'

The music started and I finished my drink.

'Woah, slow down bluebird, or I'll be carrying you home later.' Ed laughed, finishing his drink too. 'Either that or I'll have to catch up with you.'

'Hey Ed.' Sam Smith, the owner of the gorgeous house, said, pulling Ed into a hug.

'Sweet house.' Ed commented.

'Thanks.' He smiled. 'Although it's only mine for a few days. You know me, I don't like to be this extravaggant.'

'Really? What about that time in Vegas when you booked the Chippendales to give me a lapdance?' I raised an eyebrow and Ed turned to face me. 'Sam, this is Sky. Sky, Sam.'

'I've heard a lot about you.' He smiled, shaking my hand. 'You're very talented and very beautiful.'

Awh, and it's a shame he's gay. 'Thank you.' I smiled. 'Good things, I hope?'

'Absolutely.' He smiled. Someone called his name from by the pool. 'I'll catch you later. Nice meeting you, Sky.'

xx-xx-xx

Ed.

Two hours and three cocktails (for Sky, two gins for me) later, we were dancing to the DJ like there was no tomorrow. The terrace was only lit by twinkling fairylights and the lights of Los Angeles were glowing brightly below. Poor Instagram had been spammed with photos of Sky and I, Taylor, Nick Jonas and Sam, and my phone was going crazy with likes. I shouldn't have brought it with me, I decided.

'Let's play a game!' Selena said, pulling Sky and I over to where she had made herself comfortable on the sunbeds with Taylor at her side.

Were we going to play spin the bottle? I hoped not. 'Why am I the only guy?' I asked as Sky made herself comfortable, pulling a sunbed round to face Taylor's.

'You're free to go.' Taylor shrugged. 'It's your call.'

I sighed and took a sip of the beer I'd moved onto. 'What are we playing, dare I ask?'

'Truth or dare, of course.'

'You girls are anything but original.'

'Says the guy that plays 'I've never' with his employees.' I said with an eyebrow raised.

'Guys, come and join!' Selena called over two guys who looked like they were in a boyband, they probably were. They walked over to join us.

'What's the game?' The blonde asked.

'Truth or dare.' She replied.

'Sweet, not played that in years.'

Taylor looked at me with a wicked smile and I knew I was going to start the game. 'Truth or dare?'

'Truth?' It came out more like a question than an answer. I took another swig of my beer.

My blonde friend rolled her eyes. 'Okay. If you could go on a date with anyone here, who would it be?'

'Kim K over there.' I nodded in the direction of Kim Kardashian, hoping that my lying was believable.

'Pur-lease.' Taylor shook her head. 'She isn't your type.'

'Okay next one. Sky, truth or dare?' I said, turning to the girl that would have been the real answer to the question.

'Dare!' She grinned.

I dare you to kiss me. That's what I wanted to say. But I couldn't. 'I dare you to rap along to the next song the DJ plays that you know.'

'Deal.' She agreed, a smile playing on her lips. I still would have preferred the kiss. 'Taylor- truth or dare?'

'Dare.'

'I dare you to get that guy's number.' She pointed at the pretty boy talking to the DJ.

'Okay.'

It was half-an-hour later when the game finally stopped, and Sky still hadn't held up her end of the bargain. She hadn't forgot, however.

'I know this song!' She squealed, jumping up and down as Tinie Tempah's 'Pass Out' filled the terrace. She finished her drink and grabbed an abandonned baseball cap from a table nearby, putting it on sideways. She still looked cute, damn it. She took a deep breath, and off she went.

'Yeah, yeah, we bring the stars out

We bring the women and the cars and the cards out

Let's have a toast, a celebration, get a glass out

And we can do this until we pass out

Let it rain, let it pour away

We won't come down

Until we hit the ground and pass out

Yeah, I'm in charge now

I'm a star and I brought my fuckin' cast out

I live a very, very, very wild lifestyle

Heidi and Audrina eat your heart out

I used to listen to "you don't wanna bring arms house"

I got so many clothes, I keeps some in my aunt's house

Disturbing London baby, we about to branch out

Soon I'll be the king like Prince Charles child

Yeah, yeah and there ain't nobody fresher

Semester to semester, ravin' with the freshers

20 light bulbs around my table on my dresser

ClC Kompressor, just in case that don't impress her.'

She paused and looked over at me. 'No, no, Ed stop filming.' She whined, trying to grab my iPhone out my hand. 'Please, Ed.'

'Okay, okay.' I stopped filming, with a huge grin on my face, and put the phone back into my trouser pocket.

'I did it. I completed the dare.' She smiled, as if she had been the one winning awards this evening.

'Yes you did.'

xx-xx-xx

Sky.

My head was getting fuzzier by the minute and I was wearing some random person's cap on my head. I took it off and debated having another drink. No, water was what I needed. I looked around, but most of the waitors and waitresses had gone and the party was dying down.

'I'm off Sky, but I'll see you soon.' Taylor smiled, pulling me into a hug. She turned to Ed. 'Make sure she gets back safe.'

'No problem.' Ed said, hugging her. She smiled and disappeared.

'Everyone's leaving.' I groaned, pouting.

'Alright, party animal. I think we should be leaving too.' He laughed.

'What time is it?'

'4am.'

'I'm hungry, can we get breakfast?' I groaned as my stomach groaned with me.

'Breakfast? At 4am?'

'Yeah.' I smiled.

He looked thoughtful for a moment. 'Okay then, let's go.'

We ended up at a little diner just off Hollywood Boulevard, which had already started serving breakfast. Ed let our driver head home, as he said it would only be a fifteen minute walk home. Unsurprisingly, we were the only people in there and the waitress didn't bat a single eyelid. I knew I probably looked awful. We'd been at the Teen Choice Awards from seven til eleven, and then we had been partying non-stop. I was glad Jimmy Choos were so comfortable.

'You're so hard to keep up with.' Ed commented as I gulped down some bacon and pancakes. He nibbled slowly at his scrambled egg on toast. 'You're going to destroy me on tour.'

I finished my mouthful and shot him a smile. 'I bet you're regretting that now.'

'As long as we don't drink every night, think I might be okay.' He finished his food and drank his orange juice. 'How can you have something so sweet after all of that alcohol?'

'I'm not entirely sure.' I replied, honestly. 'But I do feel a little better.'

'Your pupils are still massive.'

'So are yours.'

I gave up on my poor Jimmy Choos when we were walking uphill to the house. The walk itself only took twenty minutes, but the uphill gradient was starting to make my feet sore. I could have kissed the front door when we arrived back.

xx-xx-xx

Ed.

'I can't believe the time!' Sky commented as we walked through the door. She paused in front of the French doors. 'Teddy, look!'

I smiled at the use of nickname. I liked it when she called me that. I walked over to her. 'What is it?'

'The sun's coming up!' She opened the french doors and walked out onto the terrace in bare foot. She sat down on the edge of the terrace, admiring the sunrise. I walked over slowly and sat myself down beside her. 'Isn't it beautiful?' She whispered, her eyes wide.

I smiled, looking at her. 'It really is.'

I felt her head rest on my shoulder and I took a deep breath. What a perfect moment. Sky's breathing changed so that it was deeper. I then realised she had fallen asleep.
