On Wednesday July 9th Benson and his commanding officer came to Greer's station. Eve wasn't privy to the conversations between them, but they later said where they believed the morlocks were. Eve wasn't sure what exact evidence led to this particular group. But there seemed little doubt that these individuals were responsible for killing many people brutally. They were likely insane, Eve had seen evidence of that at Marissa's brothel. This truce seemed dependant upon this common enemy. On July 10th Eve saw Greer talking to a local shopkeeper. He was trying to negotiate for more rations for himself and his family. Somehow he had saved some goodies, probably killed to protect them during the siege. It seemed to have worked, he could now keep himself and his family alive a bit longer. The deal was set, it was now just them haggling over the price. Greer told Benson's superior their two groups could celebrate together tonight. Tomorrow morning Eve, Benson, and others from their respective units would wage an attack on the Moloch worshippers' camp. The rumor was that they were planning to sacrifice infants to the demon-god tomorrow. Eve and Benson would be in charge of rescuing these infants. Eve had to admit, this felt good. The two groups celebrating together with soda, candy, ciggarettes. This time tomorrow they would might very well be dead. But at least they'd die as heroes. 10 days until impact, it semed like a good way to go down. Around midnight Eve and some others decided to get some sleep, or at least try. Greer gave Eve some advice. She could tell Eve still wanted some payback s she asked Eve "Try to remember that we're the good guys."
