"And remember everyone, tomorrow is career day. A parent from everyone in the class will be here to discuss what they do for careers."

James looked down to his paper filled with science notes. He could feel a few heated glares directed at him from some of his classmates.

But what could he do about it? It wasn't his fault that his dad is Captain America and his mom is the Black Widow. Avengers and two of the most famous heroes ever known.

Boy was he going to be the envy of the entire school body when his dad showed up with him tomorrow.

"Dad, what are you going to wear tomorrow?" James asked as he and his father sat eatting dinner in their suite. His mother had been called to SHIELD to help train a special class of field agents.

"What would you like for me to wear?" Steve replied. "I know how classmates judge others by parent's, status and fashions."

"Can you wear that uniform you wore during the war?" James asked.

"Sure thing." Steve assured.

He had been a surprised when James had asked him to be the one to join him for career day. He thought for sure that James would ask his super spy mother to go with him but he might have figured that having an Army captain instead of a spy from a secret agency might have been the better choice.

"What do you want me to talk about?" the father asked. "I know to stay clear of the baby stories."

"Please!" James practically pleaded which made Steve chuckle.

"Don't worry. I won't go near those stories." Steve vowed.

"Thanks, dad." James said. "I guess your old war stories would be great. I know everyone is going to ask about it. Especially since we're studying the war in history class."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Everyone is excited that we're studying you and everyone else from the war. They're going to flip when you walk in tomorrow."

"I haven't been Captain America very much lately. That time has been cut in half since the time you were born. I made it clear to Director Fury that you now came before anything else. Only the 'end of the world' kind of missions will take me away."

James smiled at his dad. At times, he still couldn't believe just how much his parent's had given up in order to be able to raise their son like real parent's should.

His Uncle Tony, Uncle Bruce and Uncle Clint had informed him of everything his parent's had done before they were blessed with a child. There were moments when James felt like he robbed his parent's of their freedom.

Of course, his parent's had picked up his thoughts and assured him that he didn't rob them of anything. Instead, they gained from his birth. Since then, they been the ideal version of the picture perfect American family.

And tomorrow, everyone in class would see how awesome his dad really is.

"James. Time to wake..." Steve froze when he saw his son's bed was empty and already made. He walked to the kitchen and spotted his teen son sitting at the table with a bowl of cereal in front of him.

"Morning, dad." James greeted.

"Morning. How long have you been up?" Steve asked.

"Not very long. I was too excited about today." James answered.

"I bet. That's the only reason you would be up this early." Steve said. "Well, I'll go change, grab a quick bite and we'll be off to school."

James smiled more. For once, he was excited about going to school.
