"This court finds Natasha Romanoff guilty of all charges and is ordered to be returned to Russia for further punishment. She is forever banished from the United States of America. To your family, husband, Captain Steven Rogers and, son, James Rogers, you will never be allowed to see them again. You are here by divorced from Captain Rogers and removed from the Rogers name."

Natasha felt a stab in her heart hearing what they ordered onto her family. Divorced from Steve? Never be allowed to see him and James again?!

"You can't keep me from them!" she yelled as two guards held her in place.

"Miss Romanoff, you betrayed this country that accepted you. You betrayed everyone who trusted you. It is our ruling that you be punished in the way we see fit. Captain Rogers is the very symbol of this nation. Therefore you betrayed him, and your son, most of all. Don't be surprised if they don't arrive to see you off tomorrow morning."

Tomorrow morning?!

"No!"She shouted as she was forced to move toward a back door. "You can't keep me from them! Where are they?! Steve! James!"

"Yes...Yes...I understand. Thank you."

Steve ended the call and sighed heavily. He couldn't believe what was happening. His life that had been so perfect since the day he and Natasha started dating was falling apart in a single night.

He'd just learned that the court found Natasha guilty of the betrayal she had committed and would be sent back to Russia in the morning. Never again would she be allowed to return to America and she would never again see him or their son.

With a heavy heart, Steve went to James' room.

Everything that had happened had been hardest on the sixteen year old. He wasn't able to fully accept that his own mother would betray them like she had.

James didn't want to believe any of it when it first happened but he had been forced to accept it when he learned today was Natasha's court day and would be given punishment.

"James?" Steve called as he stood in the doorway of his son's room. He saw the red head sitting on his bed with his arms crossed and an upset look on his face.

"What happened to her?" he asked softly.

"She's...being sent back to Russia. She's never allowed to come to America again and she can't ever see us again." Steve answered as he walked over and sat on the bed.

"She got what she deserves." James muttered.

"James." Steve lightly gasped. "I know she hurt us but..."

"She did hurt us, dad." James declared as his eyes filled with tears. "She only married you because it made everyone think she was on our side. She only had me to make it look like she was a good person. She never loved us! She used us!"

Steve couldn't deny that James had a strong point. The entire time that he had been with Natasha, it always seemed strange that she would fall in love with someone like him. She had quickly accepted his marriage proposal and then had been accepting that the public wanted to know she's the mother of Captain America's son.

He didn't want to believe that she had used him to become a proper american or that she only had James to make herself look better.

But it had all come to light when he learned that the capture of him and the other Avengers had been by not just the Liberators but her as well. She had informed them of their location, how many were on the team and who they would have to deal with.

Their escape had been successful but now Natasha had been brought to justice.

Steve guessed he should be grateful that she hadn't been executed. She would live the rest of her life with the crime she had done.

The captain knew James was speaking out of hurt. He loves his mother but he couldn't handle what she had done. He saw that if Steve hadn't been able to get the escape plan going, then he would most likely be without a father.

"James, I know that you're hurt by what she's done. They're sending her back to Russia in the morning. It's up to you if you want to be there to see her leave or not. We're never going to see her again, so I won't stop you if you want to be there. If you want to talk, just tell me."

James nodded as he wiped away his tears.

He wasn't sure what he wanted to do. He wanted to be there to see his mother one last time but at the same time he just couldn't face her after knowing what she'd done. He couldn't accept that she didn't love his father when they decided to have a child.

Natasha felt like crying as she was led to a jet that was fueled up and ready to take her back to her homeland. Very few people were around. None of them wanted to see the person they had worked with and then betray them.

But she didn't care about them. She only wanted to see Steve and James. Her heart started breaking the closer she got to the jet and there was still no sign of them.

She turned to Fury who was walking next to her.

"Please, let me see them before I leave. Just once. They don't have to talk to me or anything. I just want to see them." she pleaded.

"There's nothing I can do." Fury replied and they came to the staircase of the jet. "Natasha Romanoff, it was a pleasure working with you until you betrayed us. Good luck."

Fury walked off and Natasha was being directed up the stairs. She wanted to break down right then and there for not being able to see her family one last time.

"Wait!"

Natasha whirled around and smiled when she saw Steve and James walking over.

"We want a final moment with her." Steve said.

"Yes, Captain. Please be quick." one of the guards said as he and his partner moved a few feet away.

Natasha easily spotted their disappointment and felt guilty she had done this to them.

"Even after everything you've done, I still love you and I hope that you'll have a peaceful life back in your home." Steve said.

"I'm sorry." Natasha said. "I...I didn't mean for things to get this out of hand. You both are the only ones I love and didn't want to hurt."

"A little late for that." James snapped, refusing to make eye contact with her.

"James, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I hurt you like this. But I do love you."

"Sure you do."

Natasha bit her lip to keep from crying. She could really see how much she had upset her son. He wasn't holding anything back.

"James, I know you probably think I'm lying, but I do love you. With my very heart. I did want you. I wanted a beautiful little boy and I got him. I understand if you hate me but I just want you to know that I always did and always will love you."

James shut his eyes tightly and then suddenly latched onto his mother who embraced him back.

"I'm gonna miss you, mom. I love you." James sobbed.

"I'm going to miss you too. Please try to be like your father and do good. Я люблю Вас, моего принца." Natasha said as tears streamed down her face.

After sixteen years of always having her son close by and in her arms, she let go of him for the last time.

Steve walked over, gave Natasha one last kiss, proclaimed his love for her along with a final hug and said goodbye.

The two men stood back and watched with heavy hearts as Natasha was forced onto the jet and it flew off.

James embraced his father when the jet was out of sight and cried without caring who saw.

Steve allowed his son to release everything he had been holding in. He was trying to stay strong for James but he knew that he wouldn't be able to hold it in long hismelf.

They both just lost the most important woman in their lives and would never see her again.
