Once christmas break ended, everything seemed to erupt in absolute chaos. The classes got a lot harder, and Harry had taken to spending time with Hagrid to see if he could wheedle off any more information about what lied behind the trapdoor. Hagrid, occasionally would slip something up but for the most part was pretty guarded and began to ask Harry to leave if he got to pushy about information.

Slytherin won there quidditch match against Ravenclaw in about 3 minutes so they were leading for the cup thanks to Harry's brilliant plays. And it seemed that despite being hectic January was easing itself into a quiet February. That was until Harry started hearing a cold dread voice in the school talking about killing and suddenly some hufflepuff, by the name of Justin in Harry's year had been petrified along with Nearly Headless Nick. This lead the entire school to begin to freak out about the 'Chamber of Secrets' which Harry had to admit he to was a little passive.

While most of the Slytherins made jokes and seemed to give no care at all about what was going on Ron was a bit more uptight and got very nasty when Draco stated he would like to see Granger be killed.

Damien was also acting strangely distant, almost like he was in a trance. Harry doubted anyone would have casted the Imperious curse on the boy so was unsure what was up with him. He decided that he would worry about the Chamber later. He was worried. Dumbledore had left the school to have an emergency meeting with the Ministry about the attack and Harry was sure tonight would be the night Quirrell would make his move.

'It's tonight, it has to be' Harry told a very nervous Hermione in the library. She looked at him and nodded. 'What's wrong Hermione?'

'Whoever opened the chamber is after muggle-borns. I just.. What if it's Quirrell?'

'Is he even a slytherin?'

Hermione shrugged at that. 'I don't know. He has never mentioned it in class.'

'We are planning on heading down around 10. Any time earlier is too early for him to head down there. Hopefully we can beat him to the stone and grab it before he even makes his way down.'

'He has to know all the protections already, so he could easily beat us there.' Hermione gave a grin.'And who is in this magnificent plan of yours?'

'Ron, Draco, Theo, Damien, Blaise and You'.

'And how do you expect to sneak up 6 slytherins and one Gryffindor without being caught?'

'I have an invisibility cloak. We could move people in groups couldn't we?'

'And you expect the other people to stay in a room with fluffy until we all head over there. Or are they gonna hide in plain site?'

'I.. I didn't really think of that. We can fit a decent amount of us.'

'But not seven people Harry. Do you even trust all of them.'

'I don't really have a all want to be involved.I'll think of something. I'll be at the Gryffindor Common Room 10 minutes before Curfew. It might be best to all hide under the clock in an abandoned classroom near there and then head over at the right time. If we all scrunch up we should manage. '

The plan was a bit shaky in Harry's mind. There they all were sitting under the cloak as bunched together as possible in an unused classroom. Theo used some kind of charm to make everyone more flexible so it wouldn't hurt as much that they were all bunched up. They all sat in silence. Staring at eachother and waiting and listening.

A little bit after 10 the group walked toward the door that housed Fluffy. With a quick unlocking charm from Hermione they opened the door to the snapping fangs of Fluffy. Harry began playing the flute Hagrid gave him for Christmas due to the music being the counter for such a strategy, and they all were able to get down into a room with Devil's Snare. Theo and Hermione lit them all on fire, saving Ron who was a nervous wreck despite everyone telling him to calm down. In the next room there was golden keys flying around. Harry and Draco being the only two, good flyers managed to easily find to correct key while the others used a variety of spells to slow the keys and help them grab it.

Then they ran into a Troll, knocked out with its own club. Then they were in some weird space room.

'This must be the Astronomy trial?' Suddenly there was a flash of light from a bright sun, and the closest planet to it blew up.

'What are we supposed to do?' Sheriked Theo. This one makes no sense.

'The Stars.. THe planets…'

Hermione looked around the room.

'There all on like conveyor belt, but its magic. I think we need to reshape the galaxy.'

This was painful work. Eventually Theo figured out they had to 'Repair' anything that broke and they made slow work of the Galaxy. It was tedious and difficult as most were not sure where certain stars or moons went.

After what felt like hours, but was probably only about twenty minutes they managed to put it all together. The Sun lit up again, and the locked door near Pluto Swung Open.

Then came some kind of Ancient Rune puzzle. Draco and Theo had been shown a little in their childhood and claimed it was a fairly basic word association puzzle using the symbols. After placing all the titles correctly and with some help from Hermione after explaining it to her they managed to unlock the door.

The next room contained some weird muggle device keypad thing along with a screen filled with numbers and letters. Damien stated it was a Hexadecimal code and began staring at it. Him and Hermione went back and forth but eventually entered in the correct code.

Hermione was shocked the object worked stating the spells and charms at Hogwarts usually made muggle technology act bonkers, but stated that it was probably made magically so it would work properly.

The next room was a Giant Chess game where they all had to take the place of pieces and Ron and Theo frequently fought for control here. Theo was fine trying to sacrifice their own, while Ron was working hard to make sure none of them were taken, until he himself had to be taken to get the checkmate.

Damien forced Draco to stay with him to look after Ron, stating that the two of them would probably have the least to offer, and Draco couldn't exactly duel Quirrell if the dark lord was involved and he himself wasn't the best at spellcasting.

'What's left? Just Potions?' Harry looked around.

'Well if the elective teachers are assisting then there is also Arithmancy and Divination trials' Theo looked disgusted at the next room. It was filled with ever flowing teapots, pouring hot tea down on to the floor and all of this was reflected into an endless line of Crystal Balls.

Using a book about Tea Symbols, they figured out they had to magically drain the Tea at each table, to get the symbol, and then bring that Tea Bag to the matching symbol in the swirling smoke of the Crystal Balls. Theo stated that the Divination teacher is supposed to be a total joke, but he was impressed at the spellcasting she did to pull off such an advanced trial. However as there feet had suffered some burns, Theo had by far the worst. Blaise at this point accompanied him and helped him back stating that they would not be any help further.

As they moved forward, Flames leapt behind them. Hermione saved the day with Snape's logic puzzle, where they had to split ways due to not having enough of the move foward potion for more than one person.

So it was alone, that Harry moved forward into the final room. Standing there. Was Quirrell.

'Well Mr. Potter, I must say the lack of a shock look on your face.. Is disappointing.'

'I'm sorry Sir, but it was obvious you were the one trying to steal the stone.'

'We'll.. That does not change anything.' He snapped his fingers and ropes bound Harry.

'The Stone.. With it's power i can Destroy the Dark Lord once and for all.'

'You want to destroy him?' Harry looked wildly. Quirrell bit his lip.

' I was foolish. I assisted him, thinking if i shared my body with him, I could learn his secrets, be able to defeat him. But someone brought him the object he needed, the one i refused to grab for him. He left me to finish his recovery so I imagine. I;m sure it was that Draco brat.'

'Draco?'

'If Lucius wasn't so incredibly wealthy there is no chance he survives not going to Azkaban. He was 100% a Death Eater and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. I was a few years behind him in Hogwarts, but still. I know Lucius Malfoy, everyone does.'

'So… why are you tying me up. We both want him dead.'

'Well Potter' Quirrell here gave a sadistic smile. I need something to distract Dumbledore. What is better than the death of his chosen hero.

'Do you know what this Mirror is boy.'

Harry shook his head.

'It shows people their greatest desire. I see myself, immortal, rich, and the dark lord lying at my feet, dead.'

'Why are you telling me, if you're just gonna kill me anyway.'

Quirrell laughed again. It was chilly. Like all the humanity had been robbed away from him. 'SIlence boy CRUCIO'

Searing pain hit Harry, worst then the burning tea or the grip of the devil's snare. This pain was far beyond anything that he could even imagine. It like having 1,000 knives slice your skin, burning wax drip down to every part of your body, having your heart ripped out. The Curse imposed intense physical, and surprisingly also emotional and mental pain.

It lasted for just about 30 seconds. It felt like years of him screaming. But by the time he caught is breath he was lying by the mirror. He saw himself, stone in hand, place it in his pocket. All of a sudden his pocket felt heavy.

Quirrell looked at Harry. Then let out a big sigh. 'Hmm, How to get the stone… Tell me boy, what do you see.'

'You dead' Harry Spat.

'Insolence, CRUCIO'

Once again Harry's screams filled the room. It was even worse this time, however when the spell wore off Quirrell had lost his focus and the binds broke.

Harry stood up, panting.

'Haha, you think you are gonna slither away like the rest of the snakes.'

Harry shook his head and stared directly at Quirrell, Holding up his wand.

'You think… This is very cute. You actually think you can defeat me in a duel. You, an eleven year old boy. Whatever I will even let you cast one spell free of charge Mr. Potter. See what you can do.'

Harry panting realized he had almost no Strength. He had to make this count. He looked up to the ceiling and saw it.. A chandelier. Harry Screamed and it all happened so fast. Quirrell managed to think he dodged the curse, and laughed that Harry couldn't even aim right. The last thing Harry saw, before passing out, was the Crystal Chandelier at the top of the room smack the laughing Professor right in the head.

(Giggle) And So this Chapter Ends.. on a tiny bit of a Cliff-hanger. I know it's -only February- but why does the Climax of each year need to be at the END of the year.. Alot is going on and I took the liberty to add a few more stone protections because why not, #DiffrentTimelineandSuch. So yep… Stay Tuned!
