Hey!
I have redone this introduction! Not completely, a'course, but I've changed it a lot. I personally hate my old writing and it is driving me crazy. So before I work on everything else I have to redo this.
If you're reading "Your Father?" than I'm sorry to say, but that story may be closed soon. Unfortunately there are many flaws to it and I'll either have to redo it entirely or close it. Thoughts?
Just so everyone knows.
Kindred Spirits came out in the year 2006. (First episode with Dani)
D-Stabilized came out in the year 2007. (Second)
This takes place in 2007, after both of those episodes.
Phantom Planet did NOT happen! Thanks!
Sorry for my disappearance!
Also, thanks so much for the reviews! Means a lot!

"Excuse, miss," I said, not bothering to look up at her. Instead, I stared down at her dark combat boots, which I tried to make rather interesting. My face burned, my body ached, and the giant headache I have isn't helping. I feel sick, I am sick. It feels like the Sun's rays are all directed at me. It's a cold fall this year, but I felt hot. I had wrapped my sweatshirt around my waist and tied it. I must be the only person not wearing one.
Besides combat boots, the girl in front of me wore a black skirt with green lines running across and down it. She also wore purple leggings, which tucked into her boots. I could only see her from the waist down. I didn't want to make eye contact.
"Hey?" She said, a hint of confusion in her voice. I could feel her eyes staring down at me.
"I'm sorry to bother you," I said, a slight and forced laugh coming from my dry throat. "Do you think you could spare some money?" I asked, my hand moving to the back of my head and rubbing it slightly. Something I tend to do when I get nervous. "Please," I added. I can feel my face getting hot.
Calm down. The worst she can do is say no.
I groaned silently, like asking complete strangers for money wasn't bad enough. I have been running around all day in beat up clothes.
She stayed silent for a moment, contemplating, before grabbing her backpack handle and pulling it off her shoulder. I could hear her looking through her bag, but she soon stopped.
Footsteps?
"Hey, Sam," A voice said, walking up next to her. The voice sounded like a male and it sounded oddly familiar. I could see he was wearing blue jeans, which were covering part of his red and white sneakers. "Make a new friend?" He questioned.
Sam also sounds familiar...
"Oh, well, I just met her," She stated plainly. The phrase seemed a bit shaken and I could tell she wasn't really prepared to talk about this.
More footsteps.
"Hey, Tuck!" The boy said to the new arrival. Tuck wore green pants that cut off above his brown boots.
Hiking boots? Maybe?
"Hey, Tucker," Sam said, except with a little less enthusiasm.
Tuck, Tucker. Nickname.
"Hey, Danny! Hey Sam," Tucker said, standing next to…
Danny.
"Whose this, Sam?" Tucker asked.
Could it be him?
"Oh, this is…" Sam stopped. I felt her eyes on me again. I think the other two are staring at me as well.
Do I dare?
I did dare. I glanced up fast, getting a quick look at their faces.
No way…
I have to go. Now.
"I have to go," I said, turning on my heel. I was about to dash when I heard Danny.
"Hey, wait," Danny said. I stopped, but I didn't turn around. Sickness kicked back in and I suddenly felt extremely dizzy.
Don't fall over.
I could hear a conversation, but I was too dazed to make out what they were saying. One girl. One boy.
Danny and Sam.
I stared blankly into space before a figure appeared in front of me. I had to blink multiple times before I realized who it was; Danny.
Before I knew it there was a ten-dollar bill in my hand, my other hand was still besides me. "Thank you..." I said, my voice coming out in a whisper.
He gently let go of my hand, apparently he had placed the bill there and I didn't realize because I was dazed. "You're welcome… I know you." He said bluntly. It wasn't a question, it was a statement.
"I don't know you," I coughed slightly, stuffing the bill into my sweatshirt pocket. "I need to go, thanks again." I said, moving around him and walking past him.
I don't blame him for not recognizing me. I'm beat up, bruised, and sick. I don't feel like me. I suppose I don't look like me either.
You found him. Why don't you stay?
I'm a mistake. I shouldn't be in his life.
Sadness filled me, but I didn't dare look back at them. I felt a grip on my arm and I spun around, prepared to attack, but it was Danny.
His grip loosened.
I could hear Sam yelling to him.
What is she saying? Why is everything so loud?
Everything is so dark.
Where am I?
"Dani…" He gasped, realization finally hitting.
Oh crud.
"What happened to you?" He said, trying to put his arm around me. I moved away, but I didn't get very far. My legs hurt and I felt like I couldn't walk.
My legs gave out.
I thought it would hurt, but nothing happened.
I'm in his arms. He caught me.
Everything is so blurry.
Everything hurts.
I winced, shutting my eyes tight.
I didn't even think.
"Dad…" I whispered, before fading into darkness.
Hate it? Like it? Is it any better? Heh…
I'll try and update more often!
