James felt his heart beating so hard against his rib cage that he was sure it was going to pop out at any second. His father had just parked the car in the school parking lot and they were now heading toward the front doors.
As they walked, James couldn't help but notice that nearly everyone they walked by was staring in their direction.
Well, it wasn't every day that Captain America walked into a school in a World War Two captain's uniform.
They walked into a classroom where a few other students were present with a few other parent's. Again, heads turned at the sight of the two Rogers' men.
"Captain Rogers," the teacher, Mr. Miles, greeted with a smile that James instantly found creepy since he never smiled. "Glad you could make it, sir."
"Thank you." Steve said as he shook hands with the man. "Glad I could be here."
"Well, the first bell will be ringing shortly. Please, mingle with everyone."
Steve and James made their way to the center of the room.
James was right away surrounded by the other student's while his father greeted the other parent's.
"I thought you were making it up this whole time." another teen named Michael admitted.
"Seriously?" James exclaimed. "Why would I say that Captain America is my dad just for fun?!"
"Don't know. But I know not to doubt you anymore."
RING...
The bell rang loud and clear and soon the classroom began to fill with other teens and adults. Naturally, most of them were in awe at the sight of the super soldier standing against the back wall with the other parent's.
Soon the desks were filled and the extra chairs for the parent's were all occupied.
"Good morning everyone." Mr. Miles greeted. "We have a big day today. We have many successful parent's here to give us all an insight to what they do for careers. This could be a chance for all of you to start some early thinking about what you would like to do. So, would anyone like to volunteer and get things started?"
"Captain America!" "Captain Rogers!" "Mr. Rogers!"
Steve lightly smiled. He wasn't surprised that the students wanted to hear from him first.
"Well, Captain Rogers, would you like to speak first?" Mr. Miles asked.
"Of course." Steve answered and stood. He made his way to the front of the room and turned to face the class.
"Hello everyone. I'm Captain Steven Rogers. Most of you know me as Captain America. I'm James' father and I will be happy to answer any questions."

James finished gathering his things from his locker and smiled when he saw his father finishing taking pictures with his classmates and their parent's.
He was happy with how the day had gone. Everyone kept asking questions about things he had done during the war, if he really did know Tony Stark's father, did he really marry the Black Widow and all kinds of other things.
Now it was time to head home for the weekend.
"So, how did I do?" Steve asked as he finally got to James and they began to leave the building.
"You were great, dad." James answered. "Mr. Miles gave me an a plus."
"That's great."
"Thanks again for coming in today, dad." James said as they walked outside.
"Hey, you know that I'll always help you with anything. Come on. Let's go get some burgers and head home."
James smiled greatly. The perfect way to end a good day.
