When Alex arrived at Dorothy's he found her lying on her bed sobbing with a pillow on her face. Toto and pockets were both sitting at Dorothy's side. Toto was looking worried while pockets was merely just sitting there. The scepter was floating in front of her bed, dimly glowing, but glowing nonetheless. As Alex walked into the room he felt glass crunching under his feet. He looked down to see the framed picture of Dorothy's parents shattered on the floor by the door. Alex sighed and picked up the frame. As he did the picture fell out and the frame as well as the backing to the frame and some more glass. He sighed again and picked up the picture and the rest of the frame before setting it on the table by the door and trying to pick up as much glass he could. He then put the shards on the table with the frame and picture before walking over to the bed and sitting down on it next to Dorothy. He pulled the pillow away from her face and looked her in the eyes. They were still full of tears, red and puffy from crying so much.

"Alex?" Dorothy asked through her crying.

"Yes Dorothy?" Alex asked.

"Stay with me." She replied.

"As long as you need me I'll stick by your side." Alex replied helping Dorothy up into a sitting position.

"Thanks." Dorothy said resting her head on his shoulder.

Alex sighed and hugged Dorothy. A minute or two later the china princess walked in with a sympathetic look on her face. Immediately she rummaged through her dress and pulled out her pendant. Putting it on her walked over to the bed as she grew. When she got over to the bed she sat down and placed a hand on Dorothy's cheek.

"I heard what happened." The china princess said stroking Dorothy's cheek.

"Are any of the others coming?" Alex asked curiously.

"No, Glinda forbade anyone to come here until she was ready to talk to someone other than, you, Ellie, herself, and ace." The china princess said.

"Then why are you here?" Alex asked curiously.

"Because, I'm the room right next door, oh and there's glass on the floor by the way." The china princess said.

"I know, and if you're not supposed to be here you should leave, Glinda and Ellie will probably be here in a few with some tea." Alex said.

"I hadn't thought of that." The china princess said.

"Then if you don't mind…" Alex said before Dorothy cut him off.

"Leaving! Now, please!" Dorothy snapped out.

"Wow, I've never seen her act like this before." The China Princess said getting up.

"Yes, well if you witnessed what she had to, would you be so keen on talking to anyone?" Alex asked.

"Well, no, I just thought, you know what, I'm not going to bother." The china princess said taking a piece of paper from her pocket and checking something off.

Alex smiled and shook his head. He wasn't even going to ask. As the china princess walked out Glinda walked in carrying a tray with two cups of tea. As she brought it over to the couple she took out her wand and waved it in the direction of the door. Almost instantly the picture, frame and glass repaired itself. Glinda then sat down on the bed and picked up Toto and pockets. Setting them on her lap, pockets immediately began looking for a pocket she could crawl into. Glinda chuckled and picked pockets up setting her on top of Toto. Glinda chuckled as Toto sat up and allowed pockets to stand on his head. She then handed a cup of tea to Alex and one to Dorothy.

"Thank you Glinda." Dorothy said weakly.

"You're welcome dear, I'm assuming you two want to be alone?" Glinda asked curiously.

"Please." Dorothy said taking a sip of tea and sighing.

"Shall I take Toto and pockets with me?" Glinda asked curiously.

Dorothy didn't respond, she merely nodded. Glinda smiled and picked both of them. She then walked out with them in her arm. As she left the room she shut the door behind her leaving Dorothy and Alex alone. Dorothy took another sip of tea and sighed again. The peppermint tea was relaxing to her. She sighed and took a long sniff of the tea. Alex set his aside on the bedside table and stroked Dorothy's hair. Dorothy still kept silent, she merely nuzzled her head against his shoulder and sobbed quietly. Alex sighed and stroked her hair some more. After about ten minutes Alex checked his cup of tea and then downed it in a few gulps. He checked Dorothy's mug, she had indeed finished hers and was dozing on his shoulder. He took the mug from her hands and placed it on the side table. He then felt a kiss get planted on his cheek. He blushed and chuckled. Looking down at Dorothy his eyes net with hers looking up into his. She then sat up and wiped the tears off her face.

"You need anything?" Alex asked curiously.

Dorothy didn't respond she merely shook her head. She then pushed herself back and rested her head on the pillows. She looked up at Alex and smiled. Alex smiled and laid down next to her so they were making eye contact. After a few minutes Dorothy began do doze again. Alex chuckled and placed a hand on Dorothy's forehead and brushing some stray hairs from her eyes. She giggled and closed her eyes.

Meanwhile in the chambers.

While everyone was waiting for Dorothy to calm down they were passing time in the chambers. Aislynn and Ellie were tossing Ellie's ball around the room while the cats, Toto, and the triplets watched it bounce back and forth across the room. Em, henry, and Glinda were sitting by the throne taking turns catching the ball whenever it bounced in their direction. As the ball bounced around they began to try and pass time by creating idle conversation.

"So, how long do you think it will take for her, to, you know start feeling better?" Aislynn asked curiously as she tossed the ball to Ellie.

"I don't know ace." Ellie said catching the ball and bouncing back to Aislynn

"Well I hope she doesn't sulk for too long." Aislynn said as the ball bounced passed her and off the wall behind her over to Em.

"Aislynn, I don't see Dorothy sulk that often, but even I worry about her at this point, what she saw, I shudder to think about it, how depressed she must be feeling." Em said catching the ball and bouncing it back.

"Think about it though Em, she was actually there the day frank died, and she witnessed her mother dying, I'd be pretty depressed too if I had to witness my brother's death." Henry said taking off his glasses and wiping them with his shirt.

"Yea." Em replied.

"Ellie?" Aislynn asked curiously.

"Yea ace?" Ellie responded

"Can you go check on Dorothy and Alex?" Aislynn asked.

"Ace, I'm going to leave them alone, Alex will let us know when she's ready to talk to us again." Ellie said as the ball bounced to her.

"Glinda?" Aislynn asked sighing.

"Yes Aislynn?" Glinda replied

"Can we look in on them in the crystal ball?" Aislynn asked getting a bit anxious.

"I'm sorry ace, but that would be breaking Dorothy's trust, and we've already did that." Glinda said.

"What do you mean?" Aislynn asked curiously.

"Ace she found out, about my meddling in the affairs with protecting her cousins." Glinda said.

"And she was upset that you did it?" Aislynn asked curiously.

"No, she was upset that we didn't tell her my plan, she approved but she nearly blew her stack because we never told her about this before." Glinda said now feeling a bit guilty about it, and it was showing.

"Glinda I know that face." Ellie said

"What face?" Aislynn and Em asked curiously.

"She's got that, sweet Oz why did I do this, I feel so bad about it now look." Ellie said tossing her ball to Aislynn and walking over to Glinda.

"What?" came Alex's voice from the door?

"Alex? Where's Dorothy?" Aislynn asked curiously.

"She dozed off, I was wondering if there's any more tea?" Alex said walking into the room, mugs in hand.

"But what if she wakes up and notices your disappearance?" Em asked curiously.

"I thought of that, I left her a note, now once again, is there any tea left?" Alex asked.

"Yes, there's half a pot left in the kitchen, I'll help you." Glinda said as she got up and walked over to him

Ellie sighed as Glinda led Alex out to the kitchen. She knew Glinda would blame herself for this incident for at least a week before coming to terms that it's not entirely her own fault. But Glinda would worry more about Dorothy than she would herself. However no one decided to dwell on this and they went back to tossing the ball around.

Meanwhile back in Dorothy's room.

Dorothy did indeed awaken. She found that she had been crying more in her short nap she then noticed a folded up piece of paper on the bed next to her. She opened it and read it to herself.

"Dorothy, gone to get more tea, don't worry, be back shortly, Love, Alex." Dorothy said smiling.

She then wiped the tears from her face and set the paper aside. Then getting up she walked into her bathroom. She walked over to the sink and looked at her face in the mirror. It was slightly red and streaked by her tears which she wiped away again. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying. She sighed and turned on the cold tap. She then took some water in her hands and splashed some of the cool water on her face. She did this a few times before looking up again. She looked better now, but she still felt upset at what she had witnessed a while ago. She sighed and walked out of the bathroom to find both Alex and Glinda sitting on her bed, Alex with two cups of tea in his hand.

"You're looking better." Alex said smiling.

"Thanks." Dorothy said walking over to the bed.

"How are you feeling?" Glinda asked curiously.

"Better, I just hope I'll never have to go through that ever again." Dorothy said taking one of the mugs from Alex.

"Dorothy?" Alex asked curiously.

"Yes Alex?" Dorothy replied.

"Everyone else seems to be wondering when you'll be ready to leave your room." Alex told her taking a sip of tea.

"I don't know to be honest, as long as the events of earlier aren't brought up, well I think I'll be completely fine." Dorothy said taking a sip of her own tea.

"Well then, if you'd like I'll go back and tell the others that it's okay to come here now." Glinda offered.

"No thank you Glinda, I'd rather go and see them myself." Dorothy said holding out her hand for the scepter.

"That's fine dear, but I'm going to go ahead and let them know you'll be coming." Glinda said getting up and walking out of the room.

Dorothy smiled and sat down on the bed next to Alex. She and Alex sat in silence and in a few minutes had finished their tea. They both looked at each other and smiled. Dorothy then got up and set her mug down on the bedside table. Alex then got up and did the same, he then took Dorothy's in his own and they walked out of her room. Dorothy tightened her grasp on the scepter and sighed. As they arrived at the chambers Dorothy was immediately met with a crushing embrace by Ellie and Aislynn. Dorothy chuckled and embraced her friends.

"Are you feeling better?" Aislynn asked curiously.

"Yes ace." Dorothy replied.

"Good, I'm glad about that." Aislynn and Ellie said in unison.

It was then that they all noticed that Alex was now standing, almost completely still. He had an odd look on his face, as if something was going on but he wasn't sure what.

"Is something wrong Alex?" Dorothy asked curiously

"Dorothy, I could be going crazy, but I think the ground is shaking slightly." Alex said kneeling down and placing a hand on the floor.

Dorothy looked at him worriedly. She then pushed Aislynn and Ellie away and did the same as Alex. She then noticed the ground was indeed shaking. She looked at Glinda curiously. She shrugged and looked at Em and henry. They too shrugged as Em got up and walked over to the triplets

"Dorothy dear, what is that shaking?" Eve asked curiously.

"I have no idea, just keep an eye on the kittens, Toto keep an eye on pockets, I have a feeling the jester is behind this." Dorothy said worriedly.

Glinda walked over to Dorothy and was about to say something when the ground began to tremble greatly.

So, I quick cliff hanger, now, the next chapter will be the introduction of the new ally which I have given the jester, have you guess who it is yet?
