Chapter 18 : Divide and Conquer
Aquabase - Rec Room
All of the rangers were now in Recreation Room or Rec Room of the Aquabase, Adam and Rocky were telling Conner, Ethan, and Trent stories of when Tommy first became a ranger.
" Did he really go on an eating frenzy ? " Ethan asked.
" Oh, yeah, Aisha had to get this enormous size ice cream just to stop him from eating everything in sight. " Adam said.
" Wow, that is good. " Conner said.
" Hey, Rocky tell them about the time you couldn't stop playing Ernie's Pachinko Machine. " Tommy called over to them.
" Pachinko Machine? " Trent asked .
" One of Rita ' s spells made it where all I wanted to do was have fun instead of helping my friends. " Rocky said.
" Its not unusual to have an evil spell placed over you in our line of work as rangers, guys. " Jason said.
" No it isn ' t , I still have to shake my head just to make sure I don ' t here Maligore in my head. " Kimberly said.
" Yeah, but this time it seems like the Virus wants to do more than just turn us evil . He wants to kill us off one by one and does care how it gets done. " Merrick said looking out the window of the Aquabase at the water.
" Then we stand tall and fight until the Virus and his army are just like the rest of the villains we have faced, gone and no longer able to spread their darkness throughtout the world. " Conner said making everyone look at him.
" Do you even know where to begin, mate? " Xander asked .
" No , no I don ' t , but I also don't see why we are trembling at the Virus. All of these monters he is throwing at us are villains one of the ranger teams have faced before or monsters connected to other villains we have faced before. I don ' t know about you guys, but I am not going to stand around and let fear overcome my ability to protect innocent lives. " Conner said determined .
" Conner ' s right, we can't let our fear get the best of us or else the Virus has already won the war. From here on out all of us are back on Ranger Duty to take down the Virus and whatever he wants to throw at us. We have to protect the universe from evil and destruction . " Tommy looked at Jason .
" Alright, next step is trying to reawaken some of the old zords or see what zords we already have ready to use. " Jason said as the alert sounded in the Aquabase.
The rangers headed to Ranger Ops to find out what was happening on the surface.
Ranger Ops
" Captain Mitchell, what ' s happening ? " Carter asked.
" Two teams of evil rangers are attacking two different locations on Earth. " Captain Mitchell bringing up the images on the viewing screen.
In one location the Psycho Rangers were attacking near the ocean and the Cyber Rangers were attacking in town near the warehouses.
" Hang on, isn ' t that Charlie ? " Sky asked .
" The A-Squad is alive ? " Syd said.
" It could be a trick. " Jack said.
" Whatever it is we need to deal with it and them. " Cole said just as another image popped up on the viewing screen as Leeches, Cogs, and Putra Pods showed up in the city of Mariner Bay.
" Alright , we will need to split up and deal with all three locations at once before things get out of hand . " Jason suggested .
" But , how should we split up the teams ? " Chip asked .
" How about this Andros , Leo , and Carter you guys take your teams and deal with the Psychos . " Tommy said .
" Right , " Andros , Leo , and Carter agreed .
" Then I could send SPD out to meet the A-Squad . " Commander Cruger looked at Tommy .
" Good idea , but lets send the Time Force and Zeos along with Justin to help you . " Tommy added .
" Deal , " Commander Cruger liking the idea .
" What about the foot soldiers ? " Ethan asked .
" I am send you guys out with Conner to handle that Ethan along with the Ninja Storm and Wild Force team . The rest of us need to sort out a few additional things here in case something decides to get bigger on us . " Jason said .
" Right , lets get them . " Justin said as the rangers going to battle left the Aquabase .
" So , what do we need to do ? " Nick asked .
" We need you guys to run an errand for us . " Jason said .
" Just name it . " Xander said .
" We want you to go back to Briarwood and tell Leanbow , Udonna , and Daggeron that we need them to help us fight the Virus . " The Mystic Mother said .
" We ' re on it , " Nick said looking at his team who agreed and then they left the Aquabase as well .
" Lets hope splitting up isn ' t a bad idea Tommy . " Jason said .
" I know but divide and conquer is our best option right now . " Tommy looking at the monitor infront of him .
