Later in Yoop castle.

Emma had spent the last hour or so making another sketch of Dorothy. Eventually Emma got tired and went to bed. Before she went to bed she set Dorothy in the bedroom of the dollhouse. As the Emma went to bed the lights in the room went dim leaving Dorothy for the most part in the dark. There was still a little light in the room that if she were able to she'd be able to navigate the room safely, she sat on the doll bed quietly as she listened to Emma's breathing. Eventually she herself began to doze and had started to fall asleep.

Meanwhile back in the city.

Alex had been sitting alone in his room for hours now. He had been keeping himself distracted by reading. He found it hard not to think of Dorothy though. She was trapped in a castle with giants. Sure she had made a friend but Alex couldn't bear to think of Dorothy in this situation. He wished he could be with her.

"Alex?" Came Ellie's voice from the door.

"Yes Ellie?" Alex asked turning to look at her.

"You should get some sleep, we know you've been up for a while." Ellie replied.

"Ellie, I know I'm not the only one worried about her but I can't even bare to sleep with the thoughts of her trapped in the same house as that giant." Alex said as Ellie walked over to him.

"Alex, I know how you feel, I'm worried about her as well." Ellie replied.

Alex said nothing he merely got up and walked out of his room. Once he was out he took off in a sprint and was immediately stopped by Glinda.

"Alex?" Glinda asked worriedly.

"Glinda, please just leave me alone." Alex said trying to pull away from Glinda's grasp.

"Alex, you really need to get some sleep, we'll worry about it in the morning." Glinda said.

Alex said nothing, he merely tried to pull away from Glinda's grasp some more. Ellie then came up behind him and grabbed his wrist. She nodded at her sister who nodded back and waved her wand over Alex. Immediately he found himself getting drowsy and soon he collapsed as he fell asleep.

"Dreamless sleep, knocks anyone out, Ellie I'll take care of him, you go to bed." Glinda said

"Okay sis." Ellie said saluting and walking off.

Glinda sighed and picked Alex up. She carried him back to his room and set him down on his bed. She then took his sword and placed it next to the bedpost where it could easily be grabbed. She then walked out of the room and sighed. She knew this was going to be a long next few days.

Back at Yoop castle.

It was nearly midnight now and the sound of a giant grandfather clock from somewhere in the castle had woken Dorothy. It hadn't started going off till after the lights were out and it seemed to go off every fifteen minutes. It may not have woken up Emma but it had woken her up. She sat on the bed now, dozing every now and again until the clock struck again. When it finally struck midnight Dorothy sighed in frustration. She wondered if this was Mrs. Yoop's work just to irritate her since the sound of the clock going off shook the entire castle it seemed. She looked at the scepter, it was still dark so she couldn't use it. She sighed and leaned back against the wall of doll house and began to think of her friends.

"So, sleeping well?" The jester asked appearing on the bedpost.

"Go away before I hit you or something, I'm not in the mood." Dorothy said.

"Okay, okay don't get all cross with me, I'm only here because everyone besides Glinda, the straw man and the tin can are asleep, and those three are just wide awake." The jester said.

"Why don't you go and have tea with your ally or something?" Dorothy asked sound irritated.

"I did that fifteen minutes ago." The jester said.

"Do me a favor then!" Dorothy snapped out.

"Depends on the favor." The jester said.

"Well then, either go away or put me in a dreamless sleep, I don't want to think about my friends while I'm asleep." Dorothy said.

"Well seeing as you're miserable as it is, I think I'll choose the first request." He said vanishing.

Dorothy looked at where the jester had just been. She closed her eyes and tried to doze off again.

Meanwhile in Kansas.

Em and henry were now sitting in their living room. Having been unable to sleep, because they too were worried about their niece, they had already put the triplets in their crib and still they just couldn't sleep with the thoughts. Henry and Em had made themselves some tea and were enjoying it on the couch.

"She'll be alright Em, she's just supposed to keep the woman's daughter company." Henry said.

"I know henry, but, I can't, I can't help feeling something's wrong." Em said worriedly.

"Em, she's okay, you know she is, I know she is, Glinda even contacted us to tell us she was alright, we can't wrack our minds about worrying about her, and she wouldn't like it." Henry said sighing.

Em sighed in defeat and leaned her head on her husband's shoulder. It wasn't long before she eventually dozed off. Henry smiled and picked his wife up carrying her into their bedroom. He carefully set her down on the bed and then quietly walked out of the room. The next thing he did was walk out of the farmhouse and leaned up against the porch fence.

"Oh, frank, what would you say about all of this is you were here?" henry asked trying to think of what his brother would say.

"Would he even believe you?" henry asked himself, "No of course he wouldn't, unless he met the jester." He answered.

Henry sighed and went back inside. He shivered a bit and yawned. He then decided that it was time for him to go to bed.

Well then, an actual night sequence that didn't seem to end with Dorothy waking up with a terrifying nightmare. Actually she's more in the middle of a sleepless nightmare. And yes I know this this chapter was short.
