A/N: For those who are going to ask , yes I know that Conner could eventually power up the Triassic Shield on his own , but since the Dino Gems have been deactivated for awhile I figured that it would be best to have the extra help from Ethan and Kira for the first time .

Chapter 21 : Testing Theories
Mariner Bay - Aquabase
Soon all of the Ranger teams , outside of the Mystics , were back at the Aquabase to check on the condition of Carter and to figure out their next course of action .
" How is he ? " Eric asked as they walked into Ranger Ops of the Aquabase .
" He ' s lucky to be alive , if the harpoon had been any closer to his heart or any deep then we would have lost him . Dana and Corcus are tending to him at the moment . " Tommy said .
" There is something else you guys will want to know . " Max said .
" Yeah , you guys mentioned more bad news , so what seems to be the problem ? " Tommy asked , the other rangers and allies looked at them .
" I had a vision from Animus , it seems that before myself and the other Wild Force Rangers were able to get to the Animarium to retrieve our morphers that the Virus sent someone to capture Princess Shayla . " Merrick said worried .
" You guys did mention her not being on the Animarium when we went to get the Growl Phones and Lunar Caller . " Wes recalled .
" Which could also explain why the foot soldiers were blocking us from reaching the Animarium . " Cole added .
" So , Princess Shayla is being held captive by the Virus ? " Katie asked .
" Yes , it would appear so . " Taylor said clinching her fist .
" Dr. O , the Virus and his army have enough intelligence to find the Animarium when most of us don ' t know where the Animarium is , then what would keep them from taking any of our other friends ? " Trent asked .
" I never thought about that . " Tommy looked at Trent making the others gasp at the thought .
Just then the Mystics had arrived with Udonna , Daggeron , and Leanbow .
" Guys , we have a problem , " Nick said as they walked in .
" What happened and who are these people ? " Jason asked .
" I am Udonna , White Mystic Ranger , this is Daggeron the Solaris Knight and Leanbow the Wolf Warrior . I am the one who gave the Mystic Rangers their powers , I am afraid that my apprentice Clare is missing . " Udonna said .
" What ? " Tommy asked .
" Could this be the work of the Virus too ? " Zack looked at this fellow rangers .
" Hang on , Wes , Eric , do you guys have the Com Link to the future with you ? " Trip asked .
" Yes , we do in the Silver Guardians SUV in the dock bay with the Rescue Rover . " Eric said as he followed Wes to the dock bay .
" Trip , what are you thinking ? " Jen asked .
" I was going to see if I can get contact from the future from Circuit , Nadira , or Ransik to see if this Virus is able to bring any of our allies from the future to the present as captives . " Trip answered .
As he was saying that Cam ' s communicator went off making the rangers look at Cam now .
" Go for Cam , " Cam said .
" Cam , this is Kapri , Sensei and I were wondering if you guys have heard from Marah at any point ? " Kapri asked .
" No , but what have a bit of an issue with a new villian Kapri , listen you and dad need to get yourselves down to Ninja Ops and make sure the security measures are up . It seems that some of the other friends to the ranger family have gone missing as well , we will explain everything as soon as we can . " Cam said .
" Sure thing Cam , " Kapri said .
" Hey , Kapri , if its not to much trouble see if you can ' t check in with Sensei Omino and the Thunder Academy just in case anything decides to attack them as well . " Hunter thought making Blake look at him .
" We will do what we can Hunter . " Sensei Watanabe said .
" Alright , we will go and see what we can do to help the other rangers while you guys stay safe . " Cam said .
" You know in most cases I would say its a coincidence that people that are close to us are going missing , but knowing what Sensei would say . I don ' t think this is just a coincidence . " Shane said .
" I agree , this definitely smells fishy . " Trent thought .
" What about anyone from Reefside going missing ? " Conner just thought .
" I could see if I could email Cassidy and Devon to see what they think ? " Ethan asked .
" Or I could just use super speed to get there if it would help . " Conner looked at Tommy for approval .
" Go ahead Conner , but make sure you are morphed before you go . I don ' t want anybody getting suspicious . " Tommy said .
" Sure thing , " Conner said .
" We ' ll go with you just in case something decides to attack . " Blake said as he and Hunter stepped up .
" Then lets do it , " Conner said .
" Dino Thunder , Power Up ! "
" Thunder Storm , Ranger Form ! "
Conner and the Thunder Ninja Rangers ran to the Aquabase exit as Wes and Eric came back .
" Where are they off to ? " Wes asked .
" To check and see if any is missing from Reefside , it seems that Marah , my cousin is missing from the Wind Ninja Academy . " Cam answered .
" We have the Com Link to communticate with the ones in the future . " Eric bringing it to Trip .
" Perfect , " Trip said taking it from Eric and setting it up on the table then turning it on .
" Circuit , this is Trip , do you read me ? " Trip asked .
But , got only static .
" Circuit , come in , " Trip said making Wes and Jen look at each other .
" Try Nadira or Ransik . " Lucas said .
" Good idea , maybe he went to visit them . Nadira , do you read , Ransik , Nadira come in if you are there . I am getting nothing . " Trip said .
" Should we try it on the surface to see if the ocean is blocking the transmission ? " Wes asked .
" No , they , were designed to work from anywhere . " Trip said .
" Trip , see if you can get a location using your powers . " Katie said .
" I will see what I can do . " Trip agreed as he moved away from the table and pulled off his hat to reveal a green gem .
" You are from Xybria ? " Dex asked .
" Yes , I am . " Trip said closing his eyes to focus trying to see Circuit , Ransik , and Nadira .
The green gem gave him the sight of Bulk and Skull , Lerigot and his family , King Lexian , Cestra , the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , Circuit , Nadira , Princess Shayla , Marah , Cassidy , Devon , Boom , Piggy , and Clare being held prisoners in the Virus ' s Dark Tower . Trip soon pulled looking at everyone his eyes told the whole story .
" Our friends are being held captive in the Dark Tower of the Virus . " Trip said .
" Who all do they have ? " Tommy asked and Trip began to tell them everything he saw .
Reefside
Conner and the Thunder Ninjas had arrived in Reefside to horrible sight , not only was Cassidy and Devon missing , but right in the center of Reefside High the walls had some how caved in leaving the building in ruins .
" Elsa , " Conner thought running to the school with Hunter and Blake behind him . They began to look around somewhat relieved that no one was in the school when it collapsed .
" We have to called Dr . O and tell him what we found . " Hunter said just as someone started blasting at them .
" Who ? " Blake and Conner asked looking to see both Zeltrax and Zurgane walking towards them .
" Oh , boy , " Hunter said .
" What ' s the matter rangers thought that we were finished ? " Zurgane asked .
" The Virus brought us back to help with his cause to destroy you rangers . " Zeltrax said .
" Get them , " Zurgane and Zeltrax said as enough Kelzacs , Tyrannodrones , and Triptoids to fill up the entire city charged at them . Zurgane and Zeltrax then left to let the foot soldiers take care of the three rangers .
" Uh oh , " Conner , Blake , and Hunter said .
" I think its time to call in back up . " Blake said .
" I agree , Crimson Blaster ! " Hunter called as they took cover in a small crevice where the foot soldiers couldn ' t get to them .
Hunter started shooting at the foot soldiers shooting any that dare to try and come in or got to close to the hole in the crevice .
" Right , Dr . O , we could use some assistance in Reefside . " Conner said as he used his Thundermax Saber in blaster mode to help Hunter shoot the foot soldiers.
" Conner , what seems to be the problem ? " Tommy asked .
" First of all , Devon and Cassidy are missing . " Conner said .
" We know , Trip just gave us the intel we were just about to call you . " Tommy said making the three look at each other .
" Dr. O , Reefside High has been attack . " Conner said .
" What ?! " Tommy asked and Conner could hear Kira , Ethan , and Trent in the background cry out in shock .
" The middle of the school is complete caved in , but there wasn ' t any one inside , we haven't been able to locate Elsa though . " Conner said .
" I made sure they got out before something could attack . I feared if this got out of hand then it would be better for everyone to be away from the school . Elsa and I planned ahead of time to just cancel school until this mess is resolved . " Anton said .
" Then , that would explain no one being in the school , but could you explain why Zeltrax and Zurgane are back with enough foot soldiers to fill up Reefside ? " Blake asked as Tommy pulled up a monitor at the Aquabase .
" Dr. O , could you send Kira and Ethan ? I think I can handle this in Triassic Mode but I need them . " Conner said .
" I am on it . " Tommy said as Kira and Ethan left the Aquabase .
" I am going with them . " Shane following .
" Help is on the way Conner . " Tommy said .
" Okay , " Conner said as the fight got more intense .
" We need to hold them off until the others can get here . " Blake said .
" Hey , creeps leave our friends alone . " Ethan called making the foot soldiers turn and face him , Kira , and Shane .
" Dino Thunder , Power Up ! "
" Ninja Storm , Ranger Form ! "
" Time to see how tough you guys really are . " Shane said as his Hurricane Morpher change into the Lightning Battlizer Morpher .
" Battlizer Mode ! "
Shane was now standing in the ground mode of his battlizer which was Torso armor with the Hawk symbol on his chest and complete arm and leg armor which increased Shane ' s power and speed . Shane charged at the foot soldiers fighting them off giving Conner , Hunter , and Blake enough space to get free .
Conner went straight to Kira and Ethan to power up his own battlizer .
" You guys ready ? " Conner asked as he held up the Triassic Shield .
" Yeah , lets do it , " Kira and Ethan said as they lent Conner their strength by sending their powers to the Triassic Shield .
" Triassic Ranger ! "
Conner joined Shane as the Triassic Ranger helping to fight their way through the foot soldiers .
" Lets end these clowns and get out of here . " Shane said .
" I agree . " Conner said .
" Battlizer Flight Mode ! " Shane called as his battlizer gained Hawk shaped wings , a sword , and arm guards .
" Battlizer , Energize ! Fire Kick ! Super Fire Power ! " Conner also stood in his battlizer of torso armor with Mezodon arm guards , shin armor , super - stretch arm and legs , and two power cannons .
" Lets take them out together . " Conner suggested .
" As you wish , Ultra Laser ! " Shane called as he sent an large energy blast in the shape of a hawk .
" Battle Blast ! " Conner also using his battlizer to send two high energy blasts from the cannons on his shoulders taking out the foot soldiers .
" That took care of them . " Kira said as Conner , Shane , Hunter , and Black powered down .
" Lets get back to the Aquabase there ' s not much we can do here . " Hunter said .
" The Virus is so going to pay for this . " Conner declared as they left for the Aquabase .
Aquabase - Rescue Ops
" This is bad if we are being forced to use battlizers just on foot soldiers . " Wes thought .
" And for some reason I feel like Major Sheeba was just testing Carter to use the Trans - Armor Cycle . " Chad said .
" I kind of felt the same way when Wes , Jack , and myself used ours in front of Drokunas . " Cole said .
" So , you felt that too ? " Jack said .
" Yes , I did . " Cole said .
" Make that three of us . " Wes said .
" Who else here outside of the three of us and Shane , Conner , and Carter has a battlizer ? " Cole asked making Andros , Leo , and Nick raise their hands .
" Has the enemy seen any of them yet ? " Tommy asked .
" No , " Andros and Leo said .
" Major Sheeba saw mine when he first showed up in Briarwood , nothing we did could take him out so I used the Dragon Fire Battlizer to try and deal with Sheeba . I had no idea that he could have been testing it , I was thinking of the innocent lives around me at the time . " Nick said .
" Did it hurt him at all ? " Lucas asked .
" No , he vanished before it could hit him . " Nick answered .
" So , we have two battlizers that he hasn ' t seen yet . " Damon said .
" Which means he could try to force Leo and myself to use ours . " Andros said .
" Why would the Virus go through this much trouble just to see the battlizers ? " Adam asked .
" He does have two evil red rangers with him now . " Sky said .
" So , you ' re thinking that the Virus will try and create his own kind of battlizer for Psycho Red or Charlie ? " Syd asked .
" Cyber Red isn ' t Charlie anymore . " Jack said .
" How can you say that they were once human ? " Cole asked .
" Yeah , the were once human who complete gave themselves to Grumm without being turned evil by magic , powers , or some supernatural device . They chose their paths willingly and if they were still human I would say yes there is a chance to turn them back to ourside , but they are not even human anymore . " Jack said .
" What do you mean ? " Trini asked .
" I mean , they are nothing more than machines now , there isn ' t a heart or a soul in their bodies . So , unless you have a way to reprogram a machine to work on ourside instead of the Virus ' s then you can forget about have the Cybers to work for us . " Jack said .
" I agree with Jack on this one . " Sky declared .
" So , what is going on now ? " Shane asked as the he , the Thunder Ninjas , and Conner , Kira , and Ethan walked into the Rescue Ops from their trips to Reefside .
" We think that the Virus has been testing us to use the battlizers and are trying to create their own battlizer . " Trent informed them .
" Which would be bad news for all of us . " Trent said .
" You think , why didn ' t we know about this before Shane and I revealed ours to them ? " Conner asked .
" Because we just came up with the theory . " Cam answered .
" So , what exactly is the plan to combat the Virus , he has to have some sort of weakness ? " Blake asked .
" Rita , Zedd , and some of the ones who actually know about the Virus is going over the artifacts we brought for the old Command Center . Alpha , Trey , and the Phantom Ranger are helping to go through it . Ninjor along with David and Aurico left earlier to go to Ninjor ' s temple to see if Ninjor has anything that we don ' t already have on the situation . " Tommy informed them .
" I am waiting on Goldar to show up with a scroll I sent to him years ago after we were changed to the good guys . He should be here any moment , so , I sent Rito to meet him . " Zedd said .
" So , any good news ? " Kira asked just as Ryan came running in .
" Guys , Carter is awake . " Ryan said .
" Is he able to talk ? " Tommy asked .
" Yes , he is , but Dana wants to keep him out of action until the wound heals . " Ryan said .
" That ' s fine , I just want to talk with him about a theory . " Tommy said as he and Ryan left Ranger Ops headed for the Aquabase Infirmary .
" At least we have one good news . " Ethan said making Kira glare at him .
" That ' s not funny , " Kira said .
