A/N: Tom is back and fighting on the Rangers side which means every one of the Power Rangers all the way through the Mystics are back in business . And Hunter and Blake in due time will receive new weapons from the Thunder Ninja Academy .

Chapter 23 : Fearless
Animarium
The Wild Force , Time Force , MMPR minus Billy , and the Zeos arrived at the Animarium late in the evening . Max was looking at the Wild Zords who all looked kind of ill .
" Hey , guys do the Wild Zords look ill to you ? " Max asked making the other Wild Force Rangers look at the Wild Zords .
Cole walked over to the Red Lion making sure he was okay and listening to the Wild Zords in a way only he could .
" Cole , are they okay ? " Alyssa asked concern on her face as well as her fellow Wild Force Rangers .
The other rangers were looking at them curiously and confused .
" They are depressed . " Cole said .
" What ? " Zack asked .
" The Wild Zords are sad because Princess Shayla is missing . " Cole turned around and looked at the other rangers .
" How do you know that ? " Rocky a little confused at how Cole could talk to the Wild Zords .
" Cole , can talk to the animals even the Wild Zords . " Danny said .
" The Wild Zords have never been without Princess Shayla for to long . She ' s been taken care of them for as long as I can remember . " Merrick said .
" Then once we have a way to get into the Dark Tower we will get Princess Shayla and the rest of our friends back . " Lucas said .
" Guys we all need to get some rest before tomorrow . If another monster attacks we all don ' t need to be sleeping on the job . " Jason said .
Merrick looked at Jason and then walked to the forest area of the Animarium to think without anyone questioning him .
" Was it something I said ? " Jason asked .
" No , Merrick has always been a bit of a lone wolf which is why he and Zen-Aku get along so well . But , he won ' t hesitate to back us up and he will know when we need him if trouble should come . " Taylor said go to the field and laying on her back Eric watched her go for awhile before looking at the others .
" How exactly ? " Rocky asked .
" The wind will let him know . " Cole said .
" So , where should we sleep ? " Kat asked .
" Pick a spot , we usually just camp out under the stars here in the Animarium usually around the temple , but Merrick usually likes to go off on his own . " Alyssa said .
Soon everyone was settling in for good nights sleeping hoping nothing would happen during the night . Eric was the only one awake who walked over to Taylor .
" You seem to be oddly quieter than usual . " Eric said sitting on the ground next to her .
" Its because I am concerned about Princess Shayla , we should have realized something was up when we first came back to the Animarium and she wasn ' t here , but we didn ' t . " Taylor said she was also frustrated .
" Its like Lucas said , we will get them her back along with everyone else that this Virus has taken from us . " Eric said .
" That something else that concerns me . " Taylor looked at Eric .
" And what would that be ? " Eric asked .
" The Virus . " Taylor said making Eric look at her .
" Taylor , " Eric said .
" He ' s not like any other problem we have faced before , he certainly puts any Master Org to shame along with any other Org . So , how are we to combat something we know nothing about ? Carter could have been killed today . " Taylor said .
" The Virus isn ' t like any Mutant I faced either and he definitely puts Serpentera to shame , so , I get what you are saying Taylor . But , just like any monster or villian the rangers have faced in the past nothing and I mean nothing will defeat us . We will deal with the Virus and his army until they are gone just like the Orgs and Mutants we have faced before . " Eric said .
" And what if Serpentera gets in the way ? We know he is no longer a zord , but a powerful monster now . " Taylor thought .
" I think my Q - Rex could make a nice meal out of that overgrown serpent if he decides to get in the way . " Eric said .
" You are going to let your Q - Rex eat Serpentera ? " Taylor asked not able to hold back a chuckle .
" Oh , you think that is funny do you . " Eric said pulling Taylor closer to him tickling her .
" Eric , that is not funny , cut it out before you wake the others . " Taylor laughed .
" Not until you say it . " Eric said as he continue to tickle the Yellow Wild Force Ranger .
" Say what ? " Taylor asked .
" You know what I want you to say . " Eric said .
" Okay , okay , your Q - Rex can eat Serpentera . " Taylor said making Eric stop tickling her .
They both laid back on the ground Taylor with her head on Eric ' s chest .
" Is there nothing you are afraid of ? " Taylor asked .
" Of course there are things that I am afraid , like losing them . " Eric looked at his friends .
" But , " Taylor asked knowing he wasn ' t finished .
" But , I also know that my inability to act will cause me to lose them much quicker . By control my fear I have learned that it makes that much more of control and capable as a ranger . " Eric said .
" So , you are going to be the fearless Quantum Ranger in the coming battles against the Virus ? " Taylor asked .
" Exactly what I had in mind and just know we will get through this like any other issue Taylor , I promise . " Eric said .
" Just promise me you won ' t do anything to get yourself hurt , Eric . " Taylor said .
" I promise I won ' t do anything to get hurt as long as you promise me the same thing , Ms . Earhardt . " Eric said .
" No problem , I won ' t do anything to get myself hurt . " Taylor said .
Soon both of them followed their fellow rangers lead by drifting off to sleep .
Aquabase - Living Quarters
Dana was checking on Carter before turning in for the night . She was making sure the wound from the harpoon wasn ' t getting any worse .
" I feel like I am getting my personal nurse , Dr . Mitchell . " Carter making a joke at Dana which was not often .
The Red Lightspeed Ranger usually did things by the book and didn ' t stray to far from it . But , every now and then you could catch him relaxing with the rest of the Rangers . Dana thought it was good for him , while he was always a good leader , too much stress can be a bad thing .
" If you would rest instead of being ready to go at a moments notice then you will heal quicker . " Dana said .
" Our fabulous leader doesn ' t know how to Dana . " Joel sticking his head in the door to Carter ' s room .
" So , I went from the fearless leader to the fabulous leader ? " Carter asked .
" Your whatever comes to me at the moment man . " Joel said .
" Where do you come up with this stuff ? " Carter asked .
" Hey , its all me Carter , its all me . " Joel .
" Joel , don ' t get him stirred up please . " Dana said .
" He ' s a red so he is usually stirred up , but what I am here to say is that Captain Mitchell and Commander Cruger told me to tell you guys that the Time Force and SPD zords are hidden not far from the Submarine Bay and Train Bay . " Joel said .
" Thanks for letting us know . " Carter said .
" No problem , now I will go and get me some beauty rest before Chad starts snoring to loud . " Joel said walking next door to his and Chad ' s room .
Carter and Dana chuckled for a few moment .
" Always the life of the party . " Carter said .
" Yeah and now you need to get some rest too . " Dana said .
" I will , but how is your brother ? " Carter asked .
" He can ' t believe that Sheeba is back and I think he feels guilty about you getting hurt by him . But , Ryan will be okay . " Dana looked at Carter .
" Its not his fault , Major Sheeba and the Virus are the ones to blame . " Carter said looking at Dana .
" I know that and I think Ryan does as well , but its not everyday that the Cobra Curse Mark comes back to life . " Dana said .
" I will be happy when this Virus or his followers are no longer bothering us . " Carter said .
" Me too , to think this morning we thought it was just an earthquake and now the Virus is here pulling as all back into active Ranger duty . " Dana said .
" All though I think the Ranger Declaration is a nice added touch for all of us Rangers . We should be ready at a moments notice to deal with evil monsters or aliens . " Carter said .
" Yeah I agree , but the last monster besides the Virus that anyone of us in the Lightspeed Team has come in contact with was you when you went with the Red Rangers to fight Serpentera . " Dana said .
" That seems like ages ago , but even Serpentera then was no match for even one Red Ranger . Cole , was able to destroy him without even breaking a sweat . " Carter said .
" I guess its a good thing we have a big ranger family now , it helps to deal with bigger issues when we have more than six rangers around . " Dana said .
" Yeah, but it would be even better if we could have gotten one victory today . " Carter sighed .
" It will get better , we have been up against what seemed to be unwinnable before and it didn ' t stop us . So , why should the Virus stop us now ? " Dana said putting her hand on his shoulder .
" You ' re right , we can ' t give up , innocent lives are depending on us to protect them . But lets make sure we don ' t rush in foolishly or we all could end up hurt worse than I am right now . " Carter said .
" Agreed , " Dana said as Carter took her hand .
" Thank you , " Carter said .
" For what ? " Dana asked smiling at Carter holding her hand .
" For helping me to see straight again , I was getting a bit down after what happened with Sheeba that I wasn ' t able to think through things properly . Thank you for making sure I didn ' t lose it . " Carter said .
" It was nothing Carter , you would do the same for any of us . " Dana said blushing a little bit .
" Well , I guess we should , uhm , get some sleep before we have to deal with the Virus tomorrow . " Carter said also blushing a little , but trying not to show it .
" Sure thing , fearless leader . " Dana said before exitting Carter ' s room .
" Fearless leader , " Carter chuckled and laid down for the night .
He thought for a moment about what to do as far as the next , but finding it pointless and just rolled over for a good nights rest .
