Disclaimer, you know

Back in Kansas things were relatively worse. The storm there had gotten worse. The snow was now falling hard and it was hard to see outside the window. Mr. Foreman had gone to the cellar quickly and grabbed Em's battery powered radio. Listening to the weather Mr. foremanForeman sat at the dining room table and seemed to be getting no wherenowhere and no useful information besides the fact that this storm was a whopper. Dorothy was snuggled up next to Alex on the couch. She had her head rested on his shoulder and the scepter floating in front of them.

"Well you two, iI think that all we know is that this storm is going to keep getting worse." Mr. foremanForeman said switching off the radio.

"greatGreat, just great." Alex said sarcastically.

"Alex?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Dorothy?" Alex replied.

Dorothy said nothing in response, she merely kissed him on cheek and then on the lips. Alex blushed and chuckled. Dorothy broke from the kiss and blushed.

"Alex?" Dorothy asked

"Yes?" Alex replied.

"I love you." Dorothy said.

"I love you too." Alex said.

"youYou know, you two really make a good couple." Came the voice of the jester from dining room table.

Dorothy and Alex both got up and looked at the jester. Dorothy picked up the scepter and aimed it at him. Mr. foremanForeman came out of the kitchen, fists ready to defend. The jester sighed and got up. slowlySlowly approaching the couple. When he got to Dorothy he placed a hand under her chin and chuckled.

"You know, you spend your time here worrying about this storm, meanwhile the troubles your friends are going through are about to get worse." The jester said smiling.

Dorothy pushed the jester's hand away and raised the scepter ready to strike.

"What have you done to my friends?" Dorothy asked worriedly.

"Oh nothing, just summoned up a really powerful storm, worse than this one, and you sit here worrying about this storm, meanwhile your friends are too preoccupied to bring you to Oz." The jester said vanishing.

Dorothy now stood there, jaw hanging open. The jester had practically trapped them there. She wondered if the slippers would work. She then looked at the scepter. It seemed to be getting dimmer and dimmer, as if the magic was beginning to be blocked again. She looked at Alex and Mr. Foreman who were both in as much of a state of shock as she was.

"Dorothy?" Alex asked curiously.

"Yes Alex?" Dorothy replied.

"We're trapped aren't we?" Alex said.

Dorothy opened her mouth to say something, but just as she did there was a loud bang and the lights went out. At the same time a large orb of light flew out of the orb of the scepter and out the window just as the scepter went completely dark.

"Yes, we are." Dorothy said rather tonelessly.

"Well, chin up, we'll be fine if we just stay strong."

Dorothy sighed and sat back down on the couch. She really began to hate the jester at this point.

Meanwhile in Emerald city.

Things were definitely much worse in the emerald city. The wind had begun to pick up and a large ice storm had begun. Glinda and the girls as well and Mrs. Gale and Mrs. Teak were sealing all the windows and making sure everything was sound. Aislynn and Emma were helping Henry with the kids. Glinda was in a bit of a panic, well not just Glinda, anyone who realized what was going on was in a bit of panic. This was an ice storm, a great ice storm, the second great ice storm of Oz. Glinda, Locasta and Alison found that no magic was working within the city walls. Glinda found this rather frustrating and now she was rather upset. The temperature in the city was beginning to drop rather low as ice began to encase the land.

"Glinda!" Emma yelled as she ran in.

"Yes Emma?" Glinda replied.

"Henry wants to know if there are any extra blankets so the babies don't get too cold." Emma replied.

"there should be a some at the back of the closet, if not find Ellie and have her take you to the laundry room, Locasta and I need to keep an eye on things here." Glinda said.

Emma nodded and ran back out of the chambers. Glinda was glad that Emma wasn't a giant, because the shaking would have been phenomenal. She looked out the window and saw ice crawling up the window. Locasta joined her placed her hand on the window. The frost and ice began to surround her fingers when they touched the glass.

"The second great ice storm of Oz, and I think this one will be worse." Locasta said.

"Locasta don't say that." Glinda said shivering a bit.

Locasta sighed and hugged her cousin tightly. Glinda looked up at the ceiling and began to worry about Dorothy. She was in the middle of a storm as well and she hoped that Dorothy would be alright. Of course she would, Alex and Mr. Foreman were with her. The main concern were the triplets, they were going to get extremely sick if the temperature continued to drop the way it is now. She looked at Locasta and then to scarecrow who had just come out of his workshop covered in rainbow colored soot.

"The rainbow mover is on the fritz." Scarecrow said.

"So, magic and the rainbow mover are out of the option, Dorothy hasn't contacted us, magic doesn't work, and I think we're trapped." Glinda said.

Scarecrow dusted himself off and sighed. He then decided to go check on Aislynn. He ran out of the chambers still trying to get the rainbow colored soot off his clothes.

Meanwhile at the gale farmhouse.

Dorothy was beginning to get worried, it was beginning to get cold. She had dawned her winter coat and actually did try the slippers. They didn't work and she was now getting rather frustrated as well as cold as it seemed to be dropping temperature inside face. She was still snuggled up with Alex. Mr. Foreman was starting a fire in the fireplace and putting up the fireplace cover. Soon after a knock came on the door. Mr. Foreman got up and walked over to the door. Dorothy got up and followed him unbolting the door and opening it.

asAs she did she was immediately pulled into a crushing embrace by Donna. However she was not alone, Officer Grey, Kelly and Mr. Alistair were with her.

"Donna! Officer Grey, What are you all doing here?" Dorothy asked pushing donnaDonna away from her.

"Well the storm is getting worse and the entire town has lost power, and we wanted to make sure you were alright." Officer grey said walking in.

"Thank you for being concerned, yes, we're fine, I'm just worried about everyone else." Dorothy said.

"Who is, everyone else?" Mr. Alistair asked curiously.

"My aunt, uncle and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. teak, Annabella, Aislynn and Ellie, they are trapped in Oz, and Alex, . foremanForeman and I are trapped here." Dorothy said letting them in and shutting the door.

"Is there nothing that can be done for you guys to get there?" Mr. Alistair asked curiously.

"The jester has made it so magic cannot be used here, and I'm assuming he's done the same to the emerald city since no one has contacted us, I'm just worried that something is going to happen to them." Dorothy said.

It was then that it struck Dorothy, while she was stuck here she couldn't help her friends or family, and who knows what the jester would do to them now that he had them in his trap. Glinda's protective kiss would keep the triplets safe from his wrath, but she doubted it would keep them safe from the cold. As everyone else walked into the living room Dorothy went to her bedroom and sat down on the bed. She was scared for the sake of her family. She knew what the jester was capable of and was sure he was capable of much worse. She began to cry, in all the situations where she felt helpless, this one was fatal. It was then that Alex came into the room and found her.

"Dorothy?" Alex asked curiously.

"Alex, we're trapped, they are trapped as well, the jester said he had created a storm much worse in Oz." Dorothy said as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Dorothy, I know, but it can't be helped." Alex said walking over to her and joining her on the bed.

"I know, but I can't bear to think of them being trapped in Oz while I'm here, helpless, defenseless, et cetera." Dorothy said

"Dorothy, they'll be fine, right now we have to worry about the town, its being completely pounded with snow and ice." Alex said.

"And what, might I asked, do you expect me to do about it?" Dorothy asked rather curious as well as frustrated.

"I don't know, I haven't thought of that part yet, but I'll let you know when I do." Alex said getting up and walking over to the bedroom window.

Dorothy stared at him in silence for a moment before lying back on the bed. She had no idea what she was going to do. She had no idea if there was anything she could do.
