Disclaimer, you know.

In the emerald city things were beginning to get much worse. The city was beginning to get encased in a very thick layer of ice and everyone could see the vapor from the breath as they breathed. Glinda how now gone to check on Henry and the kids to see if they were doing alright. The triplets seemed fine with the situation, even if they were feeling cold they weren't crying about it. She also went to Aislynn's room and found her, Ellie and the scarecrow tossing Ellie's ball back and forth in idle conversation.

"Oh I don't mind the cold, I can't even feel cold." Scarecrow said catching the ball and then tossing it to Aislynn.

"Well that's all well and good for you, tin man, and most likely Marshall mallow and the china princess, but we being people, can and do feel cold." Aislynn said as she caught the ball and bounced it to Ellie.

"Speaking of people who feel cold, has anyone seen Toto or the cats recently?" Ellie asked curiously as she bounced the ball to scarecrow.

"I think Toto and Eve led them into Dorothy's room." Scarecrow replied catching the ball.

"So, how's the game going?" Glinda asked finally making her presence known.

"Rather boring actually." Aislynn said as the ball was tossed to her.

"Ellie, go find Emma, get her a winter coat and a scarf, she's going to need one, the temperature is still dropping." Glinda said looking at her sister.

Ellie saluted and ran out of the room leaving scarecrow, Aislynn and Glinda. Glinda however, now content with the situation walked away leaving just scarecrow and Aislynn. Aislynn got up and sighed. Walking over to her closet she opened it and grabbed a coat and scarf. The coat was emerald green like her bedroom and scarf was a beautiful sky blue.

"The city is beginning to freeze isn't it?" Aislynn asked worriedly.

"Afraid so ace, and there isn't really anything that can be done." Scarecrow said.

"I know, I'm just worried about the triplets, and I'm sure Dorothy is as well." Aislynn replied putting on her scarf.

"Ace, I would be worried if she wasn't worried about the triplets." Scarecrow said helping Aislynn get her scarf on properly

"Thanks." Aislynn said walking back over to her bed and sitting down.

"I just hope she doesn't get too upset or worried." Scarecrow said.

"You're telling me, Dorothy cares about all of us so much." Aislynn said shivering a bit.

Scarecrow sighed and sat down next to Aislynn. Wrapping an arm around her trying to help warm her up. He then began to think, however he was immediately snapped out of thought as Aislynn pulled him into a quick kiss. His face went beet red once again making Aislynn burst into laughter. Scarecrow, now embarrassed got up and ran out of the room. Then he remembered something.

"Ace!" he called loudly.

"Yea?!" Aislynn called still giggling.

"Come on, I just thought of a way to warm up the city!" Scarecrow called.

It didn't take long for Aislynn to run out of her room and over to him. She looked at him rather curiously, she wanted to know what his plan was. Scarecrow grabbed her hand and quickly lead her off. He really hoped this idea would work.

Meanwhile at the jester's hideout.

The jester was laughing wickedly as he watched his magic do its work. Soon Oz would be completely frozen over the way it was after the first great ice storm, and Kansas would be buried under several feet of snow. He laughed at his wickedness and waved his wand over the crystal ball. It showed Dorothy, who was still sulking in her bedroom alone. Waving the wand again he watched things progress in the emerald city. Glinda looked as though she was at a loss. This time the emerald city had no protection from the ice storm. He then cackled wickedly and began to laugh hysterically.

Meanwhile back in Kansas.

Dorothy was indeed sulking in her bedroom. She had made the decision that put her family and friends in danger. And now Kansas was being completely pounded by the jester's storm. She thought it was hopeless at this point. She'd just have to wait out the storm and hope that the jester let them go soon. Alex then walked back into her bedroom followed by Donna. They joined her on her bed and Alex wrapped his arms around her.

"Dorothy, please come back into the living room and join us." Alex said.

"Alex, I'm busy sulking." Dorothy said.

"Why?" Donna asked curiously.

"Because I told Glinda to send the other's to the emerald city, it's my fault they're trapped." Dorothy said.

"Dorothy, you were thinking for their safety, you didn't know what the jester was going to do." Donna said.

Dorothy looked at Donna and sighed. Even though she was right Dorothy still couldn't help but blame herself. She then got up and embraced them both. She still wished there was a way to help the others, but she knew somehow they'd find a way to cope, at least that was what she hoped. I couldn't be helped that she was trapped here while the others were trapped there. But still she wished there was something she could do. She was then immediately snapped out of thought as the house shook with a strong gust of wind blowing through.

"The storm is getting worse." Mr. Foreman said walking into the room.

"We can tell." Donna and Dorothy said in unison.

Mr. Foreman said nothing. He simply smiled warmly and walked out. Dorothy looked at Alex for a moment and then left the room. As they all joined the others in the living room Dorothy sat down in front of the fireplace and sighed. She stared into the roaring flames that Mr. Foreman had lit and began to think. There had to be a way around the jester's power. Even without magic she had managed to best him before. She began to think of what she could do and how she could accomplish it. The scepter and the slippers didn't work so those were completely out of the question, but there had to be something she could do to stop him, the question was, what?

Well Dorothy, what are you going to do now? And what is the scarecrows plan? find out in the next chapter. Also yes, I know this was a shorter chapter.
