When Alex and Dorothy got back into the city they were immediately joined by Glinda and Locasta. Glinda took the broomstick and the orb from Alex and left for her bedroom. Shortly afterwards the others joined them. Toto and pockets jumped into Dorothy's lap and curled up for a nap. Dorothy thought this was cute and decided not to disturb them. Tin man and lion then walked in followed by Emma who seemed to have been helping them with something. Emma ran over to Dorothy and leaned against the right arm of the wheelchair.

"That's a nice flower crown you're wearing." Emma said looking up at it.

"Oh, wow, I had almost forgotten about this, the china princess made it." Dorothy said taking it off and placing it on Emma's head.

"How do it look?" she asked adjusting it.

"Really cute." Dorothy said smiling.

"Thanks." Emma said giggling.

"Locasta you wouldn't happen to have a pair of nail clippers would you?" Dorothy asked turning to her.

"Dorothy, I'm not going to lie to you, yes I do, but I can't let you use them, trimming your claws would be extremely painful." Locasta said.

"Really?" Dorothy asked now frustrated.

"Dorothy, I speak from experience." Locasta said as Glinda walked back in.

"Dorothy there's a reason I put that spell on your nails." Glinda said taking Dorothy's hand.

"So I have to roll about with practically claws until I recover? And only because I can't really have magic used on me?" Dorothy asked worriedly.

"Sadly yes, using any form of magic on you at this point would possibly effect your recovery, unless you like the idea of being in a lot of pain from trimming your nails" Glinda said sighing.

"I think I'll try to deal with it." Dorothy said rolling her eyes, and rolling away.

"Don't worry Dorothy, it's not that bad." Alex said stepping in front of her.

"I know, but still, wait a minute, did you send my aunt home?" Dorothy asked looking around.

"Yes, she said she needed to get home to help henry with the triplets, we sent her back about an hour ago while you all were out and about, we brought Aislynn, Ellie and Annabella here because Mr. Teak requested it before we sent him back." Locasta said.

"Ah, that's nice, come on Alex we're going to my room." Dorothy said rolling the chair towards the door.

Alex looked at Glinda, Locasta and Emma and shrugged. He then followed after rather quickly. When they arrived at her bed room Dorothy took both Toto and pockets off of her lap and set them down on the bed. Dorothy then brought the chair over to her desk where she was surprised to find Biter waiting for them.

"Oh, Biter, long time no see, how's your mother doing?" Dorothy asked taking out a piece of paper and a pencil.

"She's fine, she wanted to know how you were doing though, no one will stand still for more than five seconds to tell her anything, so I decided to come here knowing you would show up eventually." Biter replied.

"I'm fine, I've had better weeks, but I'm fine if it's all the same to you." Dorothy said beginning another sketch.

"It's all the same to me really, you seem alright." Biter replied.

"Fair enough, by the way, I can't remember if I introduced you to my cats, mostly because it's been a while since I last saw any of you." Dorothy said referring to pockets.

"We've met, I can't remember if you introduced us, but they've been around enough for us to know them, they're great play mates when all of them are around, don't seem to have a taste for mice, which is good for us." Biter said making Dorothy and Alex chuckle.

"Well I'm glad you guys get along, oh hello Finley." Dorothy said as Finley flew into the room behind them.

"How did you know it was me?" Finley asked curiously.

"I could hear you coming, I have cat like hearing." Dorothy said turning the chair around again.

"Ah, well Glinda found me and told me to assist you if you need any, um, assistance I guess, kinda silly since you have Alex." He replied landing in front of her.

"They're just worried that I might try and do something stupid at this point, I'm not allowed to use any magic whatsoever since if could impeded my recovery, and Alex isn't always around." Dorothy replied.

Finley opened his mouth to reply, thought about it for a moment, and then shook his head. He sighed and flew up onto the bedpost. Dorothy chuckled and went over to the bed.

"Actually Finley, could you find wiser for me, I want to ask him something." Dorothy said.

Finley nodded and immediately flew off. Dorothy then turned to Alex who now had Biter on his shoulder. She then had Alex help her into the bed.

"What do you want to talk to wiser about?" Alex asked curiously.

"I have a few questions for him." Dorothy replied.

"Ah, why not ask scarecrow?" Alex asked curiously.

"Because, oh I don't know to be honest, I just don't want to be a bother to him." Dorothy said

"It sounds like a valid reason." Biter whispered into Alex's ear.

"It does but can she support it?" Alex whispered back.

"You know, I'm not deaf." Dorothy said.

"Sorry." They both replied.

"It's alright, just don't try and keep things from me, you know I don't like that." Dorothy replied.

"Right, sorry dear." Alex said kissing her on the cheek.

Dorothy giggled and then pushed herself into a sitting position just as Wiser and Finley came into the room. Wiser was carrying a large amount of food in one of his wings. Dorothy couldn't help but giggle at this point.

"I brought the owl." Finley said landing on the bedpost this time causing Toto and pockets to stir and awaken.

"You wanted to talk to me?" Wiser asked walking over to the bed and handing all his food to Alex causing him to fall over.

"Yes, I wanted to know, medically, how long does it normally take bones to heal?" Dorothy asked curiously.

"Oh, six to eight weeks, up to a couple months, it all depends on your age, how healthy you are, et cetera, bones are a really complicated structure, part of the skeletal system and is the main structure of one's body." Wiser said.

"Maybe you should have asked Elena." Alex said getting up and dusting himself off.

"I don't mind, Alex there wouldn't happen to be an apple in that pile?" Dorothy asked curiously.

Alex went through it for a moment and eventually pulled out a shiny red apple and a small piece of cheese. The cheese he gave to biter and the apple he tossed the apple to Dorothy who managed to catch it.

"Thanks." Dorothy and biter said in unison.

"No problem, hey wiser, how are the landings going?" Alex asked curiously.

"I'm improving pretty well, I've had one successful landing so far." Wiser replied turning to him.

"That's good, it means your practicing is finally paying off." Dorothy said chuckling.

"Yes, I do believe it is." Wiser said.

"Dorothy?" Toto asked curiously.

"Yes boy?" Dorothy replied looking down at him and pockets.

"Would you mind if Pockets went for a walk?" Toto asked.

"Not at all, go right ahead, stay safe though." Dorothy replied.

Toto nodded and he and pockets jumped off the bed. Dorothy then sighed and laid back on the bed. Finley then flew over and landed next to Dorothy's head.

"Is that all you need?" Finley asked curiously.

"Yes Finley, thank you, wiser, thank you as well, you both may go if you'd like." Dorothy said sighing again.

"Well if you need, um, anything, just call." Finley said flying out of the room.

"I'll be around, if you can't find me in the city check outside." Wiser said walking over to his pile of food and picking it up.

Dorothy smiled and nodded before picking up the apple again and taking a bite out of it. She looked at Alex and biter and sighed once more. She then tossed the apple back to Alex, closed her eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
