So I haven't updated this story in years. I apologize for that. I don't use FFnet anymore, and have since moved to AO3 to write brand new fanfictions. But I don't like leaving things unfinished, and since I've lost interest in continuing all my stories on FFnet, I still owe it to everyone who has read my work to at least have some kind of closure.

Zoey was going to battle Joey and win against him. Then she was going to the last gym, only to find out that it's owned by the Team Rocket twins and Meowth. She beats them, and then goes back home to prepare for her Elite Four challenge.

She trains in Victory Road and manages to catch a Dratini, which she raises into a Dragonair. Along the way she fights the Elite Four, her toughest challenge being Lance. Barely surviving, she manages to score a spot in the final tournament round of other trainers who have passed the Elite Four.

Joey, Jessica, and Gary all manage to fight in the tournament. Gary vs. Joey ends in Gary's victory by a small fraction, and Zoey manages to beat Jessica. The next several battles to the final round are tough, but she makes it, and then finds herself facing off against Gary.

It's a tough battle. She barely wins with Charizard, Gary's Blastoise already weakened by another one of her Pokemon. Throughout her training for the tournament, her Eevee evolves into an Espeon, and Elekid becomes Electabuzz. Her Dragonair also evolves into a Dragonite.

After becoming Kanto's champion, she decides she wants to keep traveling with her Pokemon and meeting more new species. I was going to have her go to all the other regions (Johto – Alola) but then this series of stories would never end. So, I'm just going to list what Pokemon she'd have in teams that she'd mix and match over time throughout her journey.

Kanto: Charizard, Espeon, Marowak, Electabuzz, Lapras, Aerodactyl, Nidoqueen, Vileplume, Pidgeot, Clefable, Snorlax, Rapidash, Hitmonchan, Omastar, Dragonite, Ditto

Johto: Feraligatr, Espeon, Togetic, Ampharos, Sudowoodo, Heracross, Misdreavus, Girafarig, Skarmory, Houndoom, Kingdra, Hitmontop

Hoenn: Swampert, Beautifly, Swellow, Gardevoir, Breloom, Aggron, Manectric, Flygon, Zangoose, Solrock, Cradily, Feebas, Tropius, Duskclops, Metang

Sinnoh: Infernape, Leafeon, Togekiss, Milotic, Gallade, Mismagius, Rampardos, Electivire, Dusknoir, Lopunny, Rotom, Metagross

Alola: Primarina, Toucannon, Vikavolt, Lycanroc (day), Oricorio (fire), Shiinotic, Mudsdale, Salazzle, Passimian, Silvally, Mimikyu, Kommo-o; she also has Rotom, but it resides in the Dex and keeps her company instead of battling like before.

As for the question everyone is dying to know: is she endgame with Joey or Gary?

Well, she does become Joey's girlfriend for a time, but they break up at some point. She meets Gary every region at various points in each of the would-be stories. She has other temporary love interests (I'll let you decide), and one-sided crushes on guys out of her league and age range (ex: Steven Stone 'cause lbr we've all had crushes on older people that lead nowhere—like on celebrities—as we were growing up. Also pretend these iterations are just like, sons of the originals). I'd also like to note she ages a year every region. In Kanto she's 13, Johto 14, Hoenn 15, Sinnoh 16, Unova 17, Kalos 18, and Alola 19.

But as for the end—if there's ever an end to Pokemon—she'll be with Gary once all's said and done. They stop antagonizing each other and have a more civil and friendly relationship, until it blossoms into a slow-burn romance. I'm thinking once they reach Alola is when they become a couple, since by then Gary would be more interested in studying Pokemon while Zoey still likes to take on the challenges. They'd also be more mature in what they want and about their world view at that point.

As for Joey, he ends up being good friends with both Zoey and Gary. Jessica stops being such a jerk and grows into a reliable ally, but her focus wanes from battling and goes on toward other things like contests.

All villainous teams do get disbanded and/or arrested. Zoey also wins every other league challenge. By the time the Team Rocket twins reach Alola, they give up on being bad and just find something else to do.

She does meet her father, Ash, once she's at Alola. Eventually her family (her mother May and grandmother) does move there, with Professor Gary visiting from time to time. Gary decides he wants to stay in Alola for research, and to help his dad out long-distance too.

There's several things I would've done differently with Enter Kanto, especially that sexual assault scene; it was poor judgement on my part and AWFUL but I'm leaving it there so I have a reminder of my mistakes. Honestly I should just delete it because it's bad. Never use that for drama, people. But I was super naïve back then; started this story when I was about 14, and thus didn't know much about good writing and being sensitive about such topics when portraying it in fiction. For that, I deeply apologize, and now know better than to do that again.
