"Rin... There's something I wanted to talk to you about." Santo approached his daughter as she did her homework.
"Yeah dad?" Rin put down her pencil "what's up?"
"You know the wedding is this weekend right?" He asked
"Yes I'm well aware..."
"And I want to know your opinion of me going to walk Iku down the aisle." He said cautiously "now before you say anything I want you to know that I am very disappointed in her for doing what she did to you but-"
"You should go." Rin interrupted him "Your daughters getting married you should be there." She turned back to her homework "Let's not talk about it anymore."
"Alright then." Santo knew better than to press his daughter into something she didn't want to talk about, it would only upset her.

Present day.
The entire host club was called to Rin's front porch very early in the morning by Tamaki. For what reason they did not know. But they were asked to bring various things like sweets, books, and balloons.
"Boss why are we outside Rin's door again?" The twins asked loudly each holding a balloon.
"Shhhh! Not so loud she'll hear us!" Tamaki scolded "were here because we have to make sure Rin doesn't think about her sister's wedding today."
"Oh..." The twins nodded in understanding "but do you think it's a good idea to be at her door so early?"
"Yeah, Rin likes to sleep in on the weekends I don't think she'll be too happy about this." Haruhi stated
"Maybe we should just leave her alone." Kyouya suggested "I mean she may just want solitude for the day."
"No one should be alone while grieving!" Tamaki proclaimed punching the air. "She's probably off in some miserable gaze just sitting in her house all alone and cold." Tamaki imagined Rin sitting on the floor with dark circles under her eyes and tears falling down her cheeks as she stared into the distance at god knows what.
"Now come on men! We will surprise her with breakfast in bed!" He gestured to the box of doughnuts honey was holding. "Now be quiet! We don't wanna wake her up and ruin the surprise."

Rin was in a level 20 sleep state, the best kind of sleep you can get. After Santo left for the ship she went up to bed early and just slept a dreamless sleep which is exactly what she wanted. Usually Rin hoped every night she would have a dream, she even read a book about lucid dreaming but this time, she just wanted to lay in her bed, and when she woke up she would go to her dad's way more comfortable bed, watch movies and eat bacon all day.
And you can imagine Tamaki coming in and interrupting said sleep really pissed her off.
"SURPRISE MY DAUGHTER!" Tamaki shouted way to close to her ear. Rin panicked feeling the presence of many people in her room made her feel as if she was being kidnapped. She screamed at the top of her lungs and punched Tamaki right in the nose knocking him back into the wall.
"WHAT THE HELL!?" Rin shouted standing up in her bed then falling off it as she backed up over the edge "WHY ARE YOU IN MY ROOM?!"
"I told you not to wake her up so suddenly." Haruhi scolded
"HARUHI YOUR HERE TOO!?" Her eyes widened even more as she realized the whole host club was standing outside her bedroom door "HOW DID YOU ALL GET IN MY HOUSE?! WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE?!"
"We were trying to surprise you with a party to cheer you up." Tamaki whined holding his bloody nose.
"SO YOU DECIDED IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO SCARE THE ABSOLUTE HELL OUT OF ME BY BREAKING INTO MY HOUSE AND WAKING ME UP?!" Rin shouted in his face
"We said it was a bad idea boss." The twins teased "but you wouldn't listen."
"Leave." Rin timbered onto her bed face first. "I'm sleeping."
"Ri-chan we brought doughnuts!" Honey cheered
Rin sighed. Her adrenaline was already pumping through her veins from Tamaki's special wakeup call there was no way she could fall asleep now. Plus. She really had a weakness for doughnuts.
"Thank you honey." Rin said into her pillow. "Can you all go downstairs so I can change?"
Rin changed into a red wife beater with a purple beanie and some black sweatpants capris. She came downstairs her eyes half closed to see everyone standing around her kitchen table and Tamaki nursing his bloody nose.
"Here." Rin mumbled tired and threw a towel at him to staunch the bleeding more or less to not get blood on the carpet "Don't bleed on my floor and don't wake me up like that again." She said bitterly
"Here's your doughnut ri-chan!" Honey shouted holding out a doughnut to her
"Thank you honey." She yawned taking the doughnut from him
"Hey are these your baby pictures?!" The twins asked holding up a photo album "we found it in a box labeled photos!"
"Why are you going through my stuff?!" Rin growled and stanched the photo book from their hands "and no! These aren't my baby photos this is middle school."
"Can we look at it?!" The twins begged "we want to see what you looked like in middle school!"
"Yeah! I wanna see you in middle school to Ri-chan!" Honey flowers
"Yeah." Mori grunted
"I would love to see my precious daughter as a middle schooler!"
"I'm quite curious to what you were like in middle school." Kyouya purred
"For the love of..." Rin sighed reluctantly "fine, you can look at it." Rin picked up the large book and heaved it into the living room plopping it on the coffee table. The host club crowded around her as she turned to the first page.
"Who are these people?" Kaoru pointed to a picture of a younger Rin with 4 other kids around her posing dramatically
"My friends. That was our first day of middle school."
"You all seem very close." Tamaki smiled from right next to her.
"We were." Rin smiled "we still try to keep in touch."
"What are their names?" Tamaki asked
"This is Eric Kidd." she pointed to the blonde boy with green eyes in the green shirt who was giving another little girl bunny ears. "It's actually funny how we met, he was being bullied so I threw hot soup on the guy who was picking on him and we became friends after that."

Tiny little 5th grade Rin stood and watched as a small blonde boy was being picked up by the shirt by a much larger 6th grader.
"Give me your lunch money freak!" He yelled shaking him violently
"I don't have any lunch money." He whimpered
"Then give me your lunch! Come on I don't have all day!" He shook him again
"Stop it!" He cried
"Hey! Don't be mean to him!" Rin yelled in a tiny meek voice holding her soup thermos in front of her.
"Oh yea? What are you gonna do about it Naka-tiny?" He dropped the boy and loomed over her casting a shadow over her tiny form.
Rin uncapped her hot soup, and threw it in his face.

"What about this girl?" Tamaki pointed to the girl with black hair
"That's Iris Atsuki." Rin smiled "we both had Japanese last names in our class, people made fun of us so we stuck together."

Little first grade Rin was cornered on the playground, 3 girls surrounded her.
"Your name is so weird!" One of the little girls pointed at her face "Rin isn't a real name."
"Y-yes it is!" Rin was on the verge of tears.
"No one is named Rin!" Another girl yelled "you shouldn't be here if you don't have a name!"
"It-it's jap-Japanese!" She squeaked "my mommy picked it out!"
"Then your mommy is stupid! Why couldn't she give you a real name? Huh?"
"Your parents must hate you to give you such a stupid name!"
"No they don't!" She cried "my mommy and daddy love me!"
"Then why is your name so stupid? I mean Nakatani? That's made up it's not a real name."
"It's a real name!" Rin yelled "just like yours!"
"No it isn't! You're a liar! Were the ones with the actual names?" The girl argued
"Come on guys!" One of the girls spun on her heel walking away "we shouldn't talk to people who don't have names. Rin held her picture book close to her chest for comfort and sobbed quietly.
"Are you okay?" Rin looked up to see a girl a head taller than her with straight black hair pulled into 2 pigtails just like rins.
"They're so mean to me..." Rin sniffled "they said I don't have a name but I do! They said it was stupid."
"…I like your name." the girl said quietly "It's like mine, its Japanese."
"W-what's your name?" Rin asked using her sleeves to wipe away her tears.
"Iris Atsuki." She said
"Iris's are my favorite flower." Rin said.
"Thanks…" Iris held her book close to her chest. "What are you reading?"
"It's called 'The little bird who lost his way'" Rin said showing her the front cover "It's about a bird who's trying to find birds like her."
"Does she find them?"
"I haven't finished it yet." Rin shrugged then looked at Iris's book "What are you reading?"
"It's a book of poems." Iris showed her the book "They are all about flowers, my mommy and daddy go it for me for my birthday."
"It's pretty." Rin said reaching out to touch the gold flowers etched into the navy leather of the book.
"Hey, since your name is Japanese like mine, we should be friends." Iris suggested.
"Really? You want to be my friend?" Rin's face lit up.
"Yeah." She smiled "Do you wanna play on the swings with me?"
"I love swings!" Rin hopped excitedly her pigtails bouncing "The swings are my favorite!"
"Mine to!" Iris cheered "Come on let's go!"

"And this kid?" Kaoru pointed to the white blonde haired girl
"That's Penny Haze she was new so we asked her to take a picture with us." Rin laughed "we became friends after that."

"Hey you're the new girl right?" Rin asked the Girl wearing a light grey hoodie sitting alone on a bench.
"Yeah…" she said taken aback by Rin's outgoingness
"I'm Rin Nakatani." She smiled
"Penny Haze…" she said quietly with no emotion.
"Aren't you hot in that hoodie?" she asked
"I have to wear it…" She took off her sunglasses "the sun burns my skin really easily."
"Oh wow! You have the coolest eyes ever!" Rin said awe
"Thanks…" she said still showing no emotion on her face
"Hey you wanna be in our picture?" Rin offered
"Sure." Penny replaced her sunglasses with a small smile on her face.

"Wait why is she wearing a hoodie in the summer?" Kaoru asked
"She's albino, she had to wear a hoodie all the time to protect her skin." Rin explained "she always looked so cool having red eyes and stuff."
"What about this kid?" Kaoru pointed to the brown hair boy with a Band-Aid on his cheek and balanced on crutches.
"Ross Parks." Rin smirked "he was always getting into messes and stuff, constantly breaking bones and stuff. I remember one time he fell out of a tree and broke his leg and I was the one who got help."

"Ross! Get down from there you're gonna get hurt!" Rin yelled up the tree Ross climbed up.
"Come on up here Rin!" Ross called down "It's so cool up here!"
"Ross that branch can't hold you it's to small!"
"Don't worry Rin I'm-whoa!" suddenly the branch snapped under him and he fell out of the tree "OW MY LEG!"
"Ross are you okay?!" Rin panicked "Oh my god…uh…. I'll go get help just stay there!" Rin ran away to find an adult.

"What about the girl in the back?" Honey asked pointing to the girls with brown hair and rusty hazel eyes making a ridiculous face her arms outstretched like a physically handicapped bird.
"Huh. You know I'm not sure. She must have photo bombed us." Rin shrugged, "I think her name was mo…something like that…but I don't know."
"Do you miss them?"
"Yeah, a lot." Rin sighed "but I have new friends now so I'm not so upset."
"Aww!" Tamaki embraced her "we love you our little princess!"
"Stahp! You're covered in blood!" Rin whined pushing Tamaki away but he continued to cuddle her.
"Wait Ri-chan you're all wearing different clothes in this photo where are your uniforms?" Honey asked
"Our school didn't have uniforms, we could wear whatever we wanted as long as we followed the dress code." Rin explained turning the page "oh this is when we went to the zoo."
"Is that a boy in the zebra exhibit?!" Haruhi exclaimed looking at the picture
"Yeah that's Ross." Rin laughed "he tried to ride them."
"I'm assuming you got kicked out of the zoo." Kyouya said
"Actually no! He climbed back out and didn't get caught! But the next day the security footage was on the news." Rin laughed "things were never dull with Ross." Rin turned the page.
"Are you wearing a dress?!" The twins exclaimed
"Yeah it was the middle school dance." Rin laughed "Me, Penny and Iris all went together."
"What about those two boys?" Haruhi asked
"They went separately with dates." She shrugged. Turning the page she gasped "hey look! This is the day of my birthday, right before my hair caught on fire.
"It's weird looking at you without a hat on." The twins said
"Yeah it almost doesn't look like me." Rin said. Then her eyes trailed to a picture of her and Iku, she sighed shutting the book. "Okay that's enough pictures." She put the book aside "I'm making food do you guys want anything?"

Rin had made everyone her famous chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and bacon. Honey mostly ate the pancakes though. After everyone was finished eating Rin put in one of her favorite movies, Arcana, and made sure in included Japanese subtitles
"I don't understand why they don't just ask her mom who the dad is." Kaoru said
"Because they don't know where her mom is." Rin said flatly
"I don't understand why wouldn't the main character be taken by the government?" Kyouya asked
"Because she's a full blooded witch." Rin shook her head "it makes more sense if you read the book.
"If she's a full blooded witch then why are they concerned about her father being a vampire?" Tamaki asked
Rin just about bit someone's head off before her cell phone rang from her pocket. She pulled it out without tearing her eyes away from the screen "hello?"
"Rin?"
"Dad it's a freaking bow tie it's not that hard." Rin said rolling her eyes already knowing what the issue was.
"Rin has Iku texted you?" Santo asked, huh maybe she didn't know the issue.
"Why would she text me?" Rin asked bitterly
"Rin sweetie please listen, do you have ANY idea where she could be?" Santo asked
Rin's brows furrowed together. She paused the movie.
"Hey! They we're just about to kiss!" The twins whined.
"SHHH!" Rin shushed them covering the speaker in her cell phone "it's my dad." She replaced the speaker to her mouth "dad what's going on?"
"Rin?" An entirely new voice came through the phone.
"Daichi?" Rin's eyes widened, now she knew this was serious.
"Rin, please do you have any idea where Iku is?" Daichi was clearly panicked because the slight lisp in his voice was showing through. You see Daichi learned to speak without a lisp in order to seem more scary business like. He only showed it in front of Iku and sometimes Rin.
"No I don't... What's going on?" She asked worried by the tone of voice Daichi had.
"Rin your sister..." Daichi began "she's missing, we can't find her."
